@Nastai. Yeah, I meant refresh rate, not framerate. Anyway, the point of having a bigger refresh rate is... less headaches. And I know this from experience. Like, real actual headaches. The more fluid the picture the better your brain works with it.
@Groanan. Yep, it means they'll cut space in the 16:10. Because otherwise they'd have to "fit" the 16:9 picture on a 16:10 aspect ration. Which would look like this. Original image is here.

@Eskanasi - What about color blind people? I am such a person myself and see no way that a decreasing material in an orb would be hard for me to follow and not know in an instant how far from the bottom I am.
On the other hand making it "glow more" or "charge up" as Groanan mentioned would be very hard, for not just us, but normal people as well to follow.
These new topics about the resource systems are very interesting. All they seem to do is add ideas to already good ideas or if the author has a slightly different approach/doesn't really like the concept of it. I'm starting to think that if Blizz didn't release these people wouldn't even notice them when the game comes out and would just generally get used to them in less then 10 seconds. I see. Well, after seeing my friends 24" HD monitor (and how beautiful it looked) I'm sure that a 23" LED HD would look nice when paired up with 2 nvidia 570's. Can't really afford more anyways, so I better be happy with it =P
Indeed. I am using a 23" myself and might just save up for a 27", but am absolutely satisfied (apart from the fact it has no speakers, forcing me to reroute my PS3 cables through an awkward and unsatisfying method). Things to look at when buying a monitor - 1. Framerate (minimum 60) 2. Max resolution (minimum 1080p) 3. LED backlight. In no particular order.
The first and last 2 pictures don't show up. Barb model I'd definitely like. The two swords from D2 - of course. The one you said you'd like a smaller pommel needs a much larger blade to be a true Diablo sword.
My person option would just be _very_ big weapons. Well, not WoW big, but still with an impressive size.
So it's still a little unclear to me. What will be the max resolution with a 23" 16:9 monitor? What about a 23" 16:10?
As of right now I don't have an HD monitor, but a standard 19" DVI and I'm running 1440, so I'm assuming that the upgrade would bring me up to 2560?
Your max resolution depends both on your monitor and your GPU. Both of them need to support larger resolutions. My video supports pretty much 8k x 4k resolutions but my monitor is locked to 1080p. The last one is the one my PC can run.
1080p is usually a solid number and the definition of today's "HD". Beyond that we're talking 30+ inch monitors for you to be able to tell the pixels apart.

They'll want to postpone as much as possible to make sure the servers are stable and the game doesn't start outright broken. But beyond this date fans will cry out and go "well you could've just said October!" so they'll try and please the audience. Mark my words - 18-24.

I will be doing a lot more than just an "it's awesome". You will be getting gameplay vids, and write ups on every aspect of the game from gameplay experience to the detailed stats of items.
and PvE will reign supreme

As per the usual new user - long time reader first time poster. My account might actually be older then many of yours but for some reason when I logged in today (first time since registering) it says "registered now". No issue though, no worries! :]
For a few months now I've been lurking and liking the community more and more due to the civilized discussions and lack of people that "leak" and/or fake different things regarding Diablo III. Applaud yourselves as you deserve it.
Needless to say I'm looking forward to D3 as much as any of you and I suppose I should say which class I'd like to start out with - no idea. It's somewhere between Barb and Monk but ultimately I'll choose depending on what my wife picks for her toon so that we have a bit more synergy in our predicted limitless hours of drooling at the screen!
Also ex-WoW player for 5 years and SC2 player, though I've abandoned the last as well due to my work schedule not letting me practice enough. Now I just try random mods. :>
I wouldn't change it. In my opinion, the Lord of Terror is still recognizable in the Logo and more importantly, it has become a well known trademark by now, which many, many people will actually recognize and connect with the name DiabloFans.com. I guess, that's just my humble opinion though. So if you change it (which u apparently plan to do), please make sure to choose a new one, that has similarities to the old Logo.
This though is the D2 Diablo. We need to stay in touch with what the game currently is. The main logo up there was changed with a Diablo 3 logo, so why not bump the diablofans watermarks with his third reincarnation as well. Even MMO-C changed their design recently although the site is flooded with millions of people on a daily basis.
People don't like change but they get used to it. :]]
