After having skipped through (so as not to see too many spoilers) a youtube video of the wizard beta gameplay I managed to hear a bit of lore concerning "The Unburied". I was unimpressed with the quality of the story telling as well as the timber of the speakers voice. In my eyes, they don't seem very visceral or dark. More like a Bill Nye diablo style. I thought that was Cain's job?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Is there a criteria one must fulfill in order to play the beta?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
System req's, join date, current d2 player?

Nuckin' vicious. A great omen to how tactically awesome this game is going to be!Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary

pay to play = no purchase because I would play casually, not hardcore. The likelihood that I'd play 12 hours each month would be rare, so it wouldn't be worth the $. And if I didn't get to play DIII, I might just throw a temper tantrum.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I have to trust Blizzard knows what they're doing if they want to have item binding. Item binding requires the player to have an extensive knowledge of their character build. Might not be very useful in the first versions of the release...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Now, this may be too late to implant, and it may have been discussed already but I was looking at some of the concept art and dreaming of all the awesome pieces of gear my character would have. For example, the little scarf thing the Demon Hunter has? I wish that was a Character specific item that only the DH used.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Could Blizzard include items like this in the 2012 release?
I remember Bashiok mentioning that they wanted to avoid using the "character specific" items saying something along the lines of, "every class can carry a sword, they just might not want to."
wouldn't it be cool if each class had one special thing added to the inventory?
Perhaps this is another one of those cool ideas that goes on the gigantic list of cool ideas, but I would like to see what you have to say about it. What would be some awesome things each character class could have?

Personally, I just loved those in D2 (don't remember if D1 had them), and felt really great when I'd find one full of chests/gold. I just hope they're more meaningful in D3.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
where the heck did you find the hidden walls? I only remember that one in Act 1 in one of the later dungeons. No Chests but always a few piles of gold...Catacombs lvl 2 i think? THERE WERE MORE?!

Hopefully Blizzard was careful enough to make certain skills un-spammable, and many many items. For example, in D2 if you had some chancies you'd want them on multiple characters.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
With a shared stash, elite gear could be consistently swapped between characters.
The intention to include this feature in the game could make for less value on elite items because you wouldn't need so many of an elite item.
Blizzard made enough items, and balanced the characters so well that two different classes, OR EVEN two different characters of the same class (eg. 2 barbarians) wouldn't want/need the same item.
What do you hypothesize about item sharing with the shared stash?

Will "passive" skills such as these contribute to the party present? Or will such things only influence the Barbarian? Just like your character gets his own pick-ups, your character gets his own gold?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
