posted a message on From D2 to WoW to D3... Environments
Finally this will put people who think diablo 3 looks even remotely similar to wow in thier place. It is easy to see that diablo 3 will live up to the franchise and purhaps even take it to a whole new level.

    edit, nice work OP

posted a message on I check the news section of diablofans once every few weeks. Wh...why do the armor sets make players look like futuristic robots
I think they did an awesome job all round on the armor progression/design even the lower looking stuff looks cool. Not everyone is going to be pleased about every aspect of the game. Some will like all of it, some will like most, some will like a few and some very little at all, as molters said each to thier own though :)

how many times did I just say "some" ugh.

posted a message on Is Blizzard going to release the game with the current UI?
It is quite easy to assume that the majority of the playerbase dislikes the skill UI, but that is incorrect. This fansite and the official forums and any other fansite really only makes up for a small portion of the playerbase and the diablo community. There are heaps of people worldwide who like the UI or don't really have any grievance with it.

I personally like the skill UI and can see myself being able to use it just as easy, if not easier, then the previous one. ^_^

posted a message on Not into beta... YET
Twitter contests are lame for me, by the time I wake up it is already like 4-6pm in america and all the keys are gone. Not to mention I have heard of very few australians who actually got into the beta via Opt-in.

posted a message on High mobile CC(stun/immobilize) build
    Quote from WNxManiacMan

I would highly recommend playing with a group if you plan on stunning the whole time. Because the duration will decrease on monsters that can be stunned as you progress in difficulty, meaning what was stunned in normal for 10 seconds is now stunned for 6 in nightmare.

Well that's how it works in D2. You sure it's the same in D3? I haven't read or heard anything about it... and I'm on DiabloFans at least once each day... I doubt it's like that in D3, since in the latest patch they nerfed a lot of skills to do 1,5 sec stuns instead of 2 sec. So 1,5 sec and reduced in later difficulties? That would completely remove the use of them.

I'm pretty sure it is the same, because from a recent Q & A (which was posted on the front of diabofans.com) one of the questions was asked by somone in regards to 4 barbarians just repeatedly using a ground stomp roation, therefore maintaining a constant stun if correctly done. The answer was somthing similar to this; "That it would be possible to do this with the right timing but in the end with the stun/snare durations will decrease on mobs in higher difficulties and wouldn't be a plausible way to play and probably resulting in death in hell/inferno".

As for some of the skills stun durations recieving a nerf I have no idea on what currently is going on with this. But as you say, it would seem wierd that with such a low stun duration on some skills that it seem pointless if would be even less with difficulty progression. However this could only apply for skills that have a high stun duration and a C/D, I got no idea. :fret:

I also don't have a link to the Q/A thing but I'm sure you can find the question on the frontpage of this website. That is where I remember reading it.

Edit: I may have misread it could be monsters become immune to stuns, but I thought only mini bosses & bosses could be immune.

Overall cool build definetly try it out, but it may get a little bit boring. :P

posted a message on Diablo is not WoW
I personally do not like transmorgification and I don't want to see it in diablo.

As for the moaning 0.01% fanbase about diablo not being good enough, or having poor graphics, or whatever else they choose to complain about just ignore it and support diablo.

    long live diablo 3

posted a message on First level 60
    I plan to in short,

    1. Turn over every single rock and body in the game and open every chest.
    2. Explore and observe every dungeon, cave, cellar, den and areas/towns
    3. Listen to every single piece of lore
    4. Enjoy the experience

I don't care if it takes me 3 months to hit inferno  . But gl to all those who desire to be world first level 60.

posted a message on New Level 50 Gear & Brief Analysis
This doesn't suprise me but I like it, with the addtion of inferno and how difficulty scales (and how hard they said diablo 3 will be nightmare +) that items are recieving a small boost. Those are also rare items that are found probably mid-late nightmare, possibly even early hell so thier stats aren't that suprising.

Edit: For all those people who think this is similar to wow, you are indeed incorrect. The stat margins are extremely different and size not to mention they aren't even the same as wow.
