Yes there are people that enjoy killing monsters, they enjoy grinding levels and gear. I have met quite a few on my many years of Diablo. However at least on US East, I found MANY MANY MANY MANY more who grinded gear and levels so they can trade so they can make PvP characters. It is basic gaming formula 101 here, when the content is so played out people find alternate ways to play. PvP is and always has been and always will be a huge part of the Diablo series whether Jay or you PvM heroes wanna accept it or not. I am also not dumb enough to try and say that PvP is end all be all way to play Diablo like most of you PvM heroes who seem threatened by PvP'ers.

In other threads you jump quickly to your own defence that your not a basher of PVM players, and that all you want is your precious hostility button and in game dueling back. Yet in this post you quickly turn on your PVM players bash button and start saying how much PVP is a huge part of the diablo series and us PVM heroes are threatened by the PVP'ers. And also, there's no need to get all teary because Jay Wilson didn't lean towards PVP implementation a bit more in Diablo III. Obviously the blizzard development team decided to stick to what Diablo III is truely about and in the same process give you PVP'ers who like the option to break away from the normal game for a bit of different fun, the ARENA.
Furthermore, "people who say PVP wasn't real in the diablo series, truely shows how blind they to the series" That's a laugh, I can't even comment on that one mate. But if you knew anything about what the Diablo series really is, then you would know.
It's about.
-Lore and epic story.
-Cooperative based gameplay on and offline (to meet the end of that story with other people or by yourself)
-The rich, satisfying, enjoyable.. Item hunt.
-Pick up the game for 30 mins and enjoy every minute (Accomplish something no matter how small it may be)
So please before you go expressing to much "I know everything" think about what your saying. -

Its absurd to presume that the majority of the players who will play diablo 3 will be new to the series entirely even lore wise.., and even if by some miracle the playerbase is made up more so of new players to the series then familiar ones, then wouldn't it seem more logical that they would be interested in the story if they haven't played the game before?
Some will pick up the game and be like " I'm killing demons, f*ck yeah!"
Others will be " I'm killing demons, f*ck yeah! but im a little curious as to the story"

I base it on the fact that there is more then 5% of people on this forum alone, let alone the world, who will play for the storyline. The lore and storyline forum isn't empty. I for one will play for both gameplay and fun but what makes diablo a even greater experience is how much the lore expands the excitement and depth of gameplay.

Its like one day I know im going to die, so lets obtain every disease on the planet, drink excessively, smoke excessively to see how fast I can die.

I'm currently in need of a new HD an wanted to know what ones are good out there on the market at the moment. I'm not a completely computer savvy and haven't bought anything for my pc in quite a while. Was just wondering what a price range of 100$-200$ could get me in terms of space and whatever else it comes with lol.

I recon swap out PTV for jungle fortitude since you don't have pets 20% DR will come in handy, and maybe take haunt w/ consuming spirit over poison dart for blood ritual purposes.

Wrong.
Just because meteor runed does more damage then energy twister runed, does not make energy twister useless. There will be times where meteor will not be the best choice of spell to use given the situation and energy twister by far, will prevail better and vise versa. Determining which spells are completely inferior to other spells (therefore useless) is a bold statement to make before release, more damage isn't always better.
In terms of AP to damage ratio, yes meteor does more but that doesn't make it a overall better spell.

Everyone to thier own mate, I actually enjoyed it to and It filled in lore gaps for me. I have played both d1 and d2 for many years but the only story stuff I gathered was from actually playing the game.
Just one example I didn't even know how sanctuary came to be, which the book of cain heavily informed me on.
