Anyone who received those 5x Feat of Strength for participating in the banner contest stuff pre-launch? I know they were going to give them out later but it's been almost a month so I wonder if anyone was luckyPosted in: General Discussion

Act bosses can't be stunned, would just make the game a joke, not gonna happen SK is just a mini-boss as well, not the act boss at all...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I distinctly remember finding a health potion that was in a square/cube vial on one of my very first Beta run throughs. Never found another, and I don't remember what it was called, but I held onto it until it was wiped.
Petrified bark is pretty common when you do a ton of salvaging. I had 20-30 at one time in a pervious Beta that I played a lot.
Oh I thought I was special :P
Salvaged maybe 300 items and got one.

We're talking about the potion here, right? Pretty sure I've found 1 or 2 of those as well but I've found no amulets. Is it because my magic find is too low or am I running the wrong zones? I'm at 57% MF and running the last quest all the timePosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I've also found Petrified Bark (I think that's the name), which is from salvaging Legendary items but I got it from a magic item :)
Can get a screenshot if you have never seen those
I wonder if Petrified Bark is supposed to be in the beta, anyone else found it?

I personally want a key pretty badly, but I believe it must feel nice to not want one since the chance to get one is so small anywayPosted in: Off-Topic

These contests are bull. While we are here wasting our time trying to get into the beta with a 0.00001% chance US gets 100k invites for doing nothing at all.
Others selling their keys on ebay, others renting them. It's pathetic really.
As much as i love Blizzard games i hate them for being such pricks.
I'm still really hoping they will release 100K keys to EU, but I really doubt it will happen. It they have plans of sending out 100K keys they wouldn't make contests for a total of a few thousand keys. One can only hope...

Even it is Normal. You shouldn't beat a boss while you re level 1 with using different techniques. I'm not talking about Normal or 1/3 part of the game. I want to point that, there is a clear imbalance with the design going on.
The beta has been out for a really long time now, people have had great time to practice and eventually farm the perfect gear for whatever they might want to try. Like someone else said, you can also solo Andarial at level 1 in D2 if you really want to, maybe even Diablo. Just because it's doable doesn't mean it's easy or the game isn't balanced very well.
The reason why almost everyone can solo SK at level 1 is that he has no range attacks at all. The WD soloing without gear and only using Poison Dart wouldn't stand a chance if SK could throw his weapon or something, I'm sure he knows that as well.
I can guarantee you the difficulties will be hard enough, and even if they won't, Blizzard will make sure to fix it so they are.

Maybe that was just me, but I used to have a pretty hard time even on Nightmare in D2 on first characters, if you have no mules to boost your gear, which obviously won't be the case at release. I used to not be able to manage Hell on first characters until continuing to farm Nightmare for a while, and now with Inferno in the game, I'm sure it's gonna be hard enough for all.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Even if it's not hard enough, you can always play hardcore and see if you manage to get to Inferno. I have absolutely no doubt about Blizzard making the difficulties tough enough for every single player.
