No one will remember if the game is late, only if it's great.
Horseshit. I remember every game, good or bad, that came out obnoxiously late. I won't ever forget their gross tardiness.

I didn't say that. I'm gonna end that here. I don't want to keep arguing with someone who's either intent on twisting what I said, or has REALLY horrid reading comprehension.Quote from nickostick_4058945But based on your statement, people in Russia and Ukraine have 0 internet.
Are you trying to use the "if there's no alternative than the thing we have is great and amazing!" argument? It's a false one, I hope you realize.Quote from KiseraiSince your sight be so clear and your comparisons so many, by your own words, please kindly direct us all here to the game that's doing what Diablo 3 will be doing and with even greater quality, since Blizzard's quality has been plummeting so quickly?
I do not believe you have the right to ask a poster from 2006 why they're here. I've been here before DIII was even announced. People who like games come in different forms. Some are blind insane fans who will buy everything relating to their favorite game and grind to 99. Some acknowledge it as a worthwhile title they want to see a continuation towards. I've spent ~4 years on this forum, waiting, watching, what Diablo III was becoming. Perhaps it's time for me to leave, but this forum is not the official forum that exists solely for buttlicking Blizzard. This forum is full of real, living people, who have opinions. And so we make those opinions heard. I'm sorry you think only die hard new Blizzard(tm) fans can post here.Quote from KiseraiYou rail on and on about not respecting a company or playing it's games, and the obvious implication is apparently you don't think Blizzard deserves our respect or money. If that's true, are you buying the game? If not, why are you still posting here?
When we're discussing that company, I'll discuss that. Just like I don't harp on HoN's recent F2P change on Dark Souls forums, that doesn't make much sense, does it?Quote from KiseraiThere are companies that do such things and they deserve to be held responsible
I am a far seer you could say, I take little things and see how they extrapolate into the future, becoming huge. I know that I have to fight for every little crumb, every step of the way, or all will be lost in the numbness that people have when things change... slowly. But slow change is still change. Bad things other companies do at least are recognized as bad things. This isn't.Quote from Kiseraibut you're using very serious and dramatic language for something that is ostensibly a non-issue for 95% of the player base.
Blizzard doesn't have proper numbers on their actions, though.Quote from KiseraiIf this was going to alienate any notable portion of the player base Blizzard wouldn't be doing it, because even by the logic of pure greed, it's in Blizzard's greedy interest to get as many people playing (read: paying) as possible.

At this point, it's pretty clear they don't know what they're doing. Everything that is not a tried-and-true formula is either iterated til it becomes one, or simply removed (see charms, see Mystic). They're just endlessly iterating and second-guessing themselves, and it's become a rather boring thing to watch. How can anyone even be excited about the game at this point?
This game will not even be close to done when Q1 ends. Expect late 2012, if anything. That much is painfully obvious. Save yourself the grief, just don't even bother having expectations. These guys are determined to crush them.
lol @ "No one will remember if the game is late". Stories about the time it's taking for Blizzard to make this game will be told to our grandchildren, Jay.

The rise of the Lord of Terror is the direct result of the events unfolded in the first game... in fact, the Dark Wanderer himself is the hero from Diablo I; the player.
If anything, the story's gradually becoming more intricate. In Diablo I, the story was restricted to Tristram and its undergrounds, yet in Diablo II we have the Rogue Encampment, Lut Gholein, Kurast, Harrogath, Mount Arreat... Also, since Diablo I was released, there have been several books released, all of which give extra depth to the story we know from the games.
Can you explain what you mean by drifted away?

You get equal drops per player. You kill faster stuff in multiplayer. Therefore, you get stuff faster in comparison to single player.
Whether you're in a single player or a multiplayer game, the drops you see will always be your drops, and they are always calculated in the same manner: the amount of players in the game doesn't affect your drop rates. It just affects killing speed, so indirectly it affects the amount of items you're going to get per time unit.
The amount of players does not increase the chances of you getting a particular item.

Just for practical reasons, I'll start out with softcore characters. Once I know the game inside out and have a sensible amount of capital to start over with a good, well thought-out character, it'll definitely be Hardcore.
You'll want to go to the Battle.net site then.
All you have to do is go to the account management section, and click on the Beta Profile Settings link on the right. Follow the steps and you'll officially be a candidate Do know that the chances of getting selected into the beta are very slim.

No prob SC II was the first game I bought online, and let me tell you... it couldn't have been simpler! The only thing that was mildly annoying was waiting for it to download. After that, no problems at all.
If I were you, I'd try to get a physical copy, but making damn sure it's the region I wanted. If you find there are none and you're dying to play, just download it, you can buy the physical copy of the expansion(s) when it comes out

If you choose to buy a digital copy -and you'd be wise to if you live outside the States- then you get to choose whatever region you want to play in as you buy it. But be careful, once you pick your region, you don't get to change it, ever. If you want to play in another region later, you need to buy a different copy. You can download as many copies as you want of the versions you bought though, as they're linked to your Battle.net account.
So... it all depends on which server you want to play on. Choose wisely!
