    We are still in May.

We have gotten two new system previews since the Conference Call.

Blizzard said they had it planned out when to release the previews.

The way I see it, the most likely (and logical) thing to expect is somthing like 2 -3 more anoucements before the beta.

That is assuming the Beta starts at the start of their window.. My guesses are Trading, Endgame andmaybe somthing to do with B.net player finding for games.

I didn't think most of the Whirlwind skill variations were that amazing, visually. Mechanically, they have interesting things going on. But a few of them were just color changes with dust clouds.

I would say that the visual will get drastically better with higher ranks of runes.. but I agree 1 or 2 of the variations of WW were underwhelming. But.. how do you visualize less furry cost? I like that they changed the sound as well though.

Expansion content, eh? Maybe something similar happened with charms in Diablo II, hence why they came with the expansion?

    Possibly, yeah.

I think, while it might at first be lame to add the same thing for D3s expansion that they did with D2s, it would give them a chance to really really get it right, instead of tacking it on.

Bottom line is, I hear talk from Bashiok like "initial release of the game" and I get super happy! Even if it is when talking about cutting somthing.

To me, hearing that the Talisman got cut is good news. Not because less content is better, but because they have discided that getting the game out this year is a priority and that everything else about the game is up to blizzard snuff. Going back to the drawing board with the Talisman sounds like a good addition for expansion 1.

This has beeen the feature I've been most excited about. And after watching those 5 videos.. I am even more pumped. Theres not really one effect out of those five skills that I wouldn't like to try. Even just changing the acid rain to puke effect changes the play style. I assume you cast Acid rain to a ranged location, but with the Alibastor rune, its more of a frontal cone damage ability.

    Just.. wow. Can't wait.

One of the Great Things about Diablo (ARPGs in General) is that, while very adictive, you don't have to plan your life around it. You can play for 20 hours straight if you have the time, or pick it up for an hour or two inbetween responsibilites.

Just saying hey, been getting more and more excited for D3.. gobbling up absolutely every bit of Info I can. I found the Force Diablo blogs on Youtube and that lead me here :)

I can't say I was a super Die Hard Diablo fan back when D2 hit. I played D2 alot, and followed it while it was being made, but not to the extent that most did I would say. I was more of a RTS junkie in those days (still am to some extent)

Somthing I have found since I have gotten older, in my late 20s now, is that ARPGS, like Diablo have become one of, if not my favorite Genre. Its odd, because I have always liked them, but for some reason It is the main type of game that keeps my interested now adays.

Been playing alot of Titan Quest, Torchlight, and of Course D2.

I would say the main feature of Diablo 3 (that we know of so far) that has me the most facinated is the Skill/Rune system. The seemingly endless possibilites for Character builds is really mind boggling.

Any way, glad to be here and see ya around.
