I still don't understand how can people react in such way. Are you that blind that you can't see all the hints and information we have that Blizzard is really doing something for the Diablo franchise. Something new is happening on BlizzCon for Diablo, not old or what else, but something new. Its so obvious it hurts me when I see people that just refuse to believe that. Especially when I know that those people were ones emotionally attached to the first two Diablo series. Show some hope guys.

People know not to get their hopes up because they are used to getting screwed over. You might have not been around for the last few conventions where Blizzard literally took a dump on Diablo fans with nothing but panels of bullshit. But people who have seen those with very high hopes got burned so bad that there is really no reason at all to be hyped for anything Diablo related. I like to be an optimist and hope for some cool fighting / 3rd person game but i know deep down that if Diablo gets anything new, it would be a retarded mobile game with a fucked up micro transactions business model... Maybe something like the Scrolls game by Mojang.
I've been regularly following Blizzard's conventions. I understand the scepticism and I most utterly agree that they are releasing huge piles of dump on us, Diablo fans. But something tells me they are aware of it and they gonna change it this year. If you do a quick oral survey among Diablo fans mentioning different types of possible announcement at BlizzCon (d3 exp - d1-d2 remastered - mobile version - d4/or some sort) I bet in my life savings that most enthusiastic response you'd get would be the response to the thought of D4.
They are aware of it (considering the fact that they are successful). If they are not aware of that, then their management is sincerely terrible.

most of us here are "old" enough to know, not how diablo game should look, cause thats hard. but what diablo game makes you feel.

we had that with d1 and d2, but d3? not so much, not even with everything they implemented with great expansion such as RoS.

in all honesty for all the players that are still playing d3 continuously; i understand you guys, really i do. i love diablo lore.

but they kinda fucked it up with the story and replayability in d3. people who are emotionally attached to diablo lore and that want that certain feeling blizzard games in general made us feel throughout these last two decades just don't see d3 as something thats filling these gaps.

but thats all still personal (subjective) point of view, mine. looking at d3 objectively, no, d3 isnt a money maker. it was when it got out, now it isnt.

just compare the player base with other arpg's, i bet you'd be surprised. blizzard sees these things and they know you can't fix a broken product. its simply like that in gaming industry. once you have something dragging for so long with a bad reputation its just something you need to let go.

those of us who works in business know that these things are so true.

on another note, some guy here (i think its user Rotterdam) in this thread made an extremely good point mentioning Lost Ark and Lineage coming out.

when you look at those games, you see something ridiculously good. you get to think "wtf, this is what blizzard should be creating? - mmo diablo? wtf, why they didnt make that...and it has pvp??? whaaaaat???"
blizzard is a genre creator sort of say. they are preparing something big, not freakin expansion or remastering old version or even mobile version, no. they are preparing a "new" game.

even makers of lost ark and lineage are so aware of blizzard, that they hid any info and news regarding their games for 2 years knowing something big is coming up since blizzard didn't announce anything on last blizzcon. there is a lot more "game" going around in business department than we know.

is there room for creating a really deep lore? yes.

if they were really serious about their job applications in last two years and changing their entire human infrastructure you may bet there is something really big coming out.

reputation is a bitch. it usually comes with ego. blizzard is a big name.

posted a message on Is anyone still playing this game?.
people have 0 patience for these type of games.
patience and persistence is the key. i remember farming single player diablo 2...over 1k runs per day in lower kurast.
i simply enjoy playing a game. i never hunt one specific item. i hunt everything i can think of.
in diablo 3 i can farm a lot of things. most rare items have possibility to be good cause of several bonuses. nerd level when legendary drops is 1000.
calculations, improvements, killing speed, new tactics, new routes...there are so many possibilities in this game. i agree not everything is perfect (far from that), but i just simply like this game a lot and i enjoy playing it. reading new upcoming stuff in ros made me play even more. its ok guys, its maybe hard for you, no biggie, lot of games out there.

posted a message on The Future of Item Selling
as we've heard from jay. we will have pretty unique items in true meaning of it :)
i believe people will still want to get a better item than what they have atm but since it will be super rare i think not many people would sell a "shiny" piece of equipment. at least for me, i'd be happier wearing something extremely rare than having extra coin in my pocket. who ever buys and plays this type of game usually thinks like this. so lets hope >fairness< will="" be="" blizzards="" focus="" point="" when="" it="" comes="" to="">

this is my first post and i've been following this site for a long time now. hello from Croatia :)
