How is a melee sorc in D2 stronger than a melee Wiz in D3?
Gear has no attribute requirements.
Str == Int for damage purposes.
They both increase your damage (depending on your class).
How you can so ignorantly say you can't "stat" to be a melee Wizard in D3?
Stack intelligence. Oh my gawd. Dat wus hardz.
While it is cute to speak like a lolcats, you're still wrong.
I'm talking about the initial increase in stats that you have no impact over in D3.
For example in D2 you'd be able to put 3str 2dex in a level up if you wanted, in D3 however what you're getting here is fixed to, for the sake of it lets say, 0str 0 dex 4 int 1 vit.
Now if str is used for melee damage, and dex is used for hit% with weapons, then you can probably see past your lolcatness and just maybe, comprehend why it would be worse for a melee wizard in D3.
We do both however know that this is NOT the case, as str only does 2 things in D3 right now:
Increase barbarian damage
for the same reason, there is no point in skilling dex as a melee wizard either, since it does not increase your hitchance towards monsters, the only bonus it'd give you as a wizard is infact +dodge.
This in return leads to the conclusion that the only way to play a wizard at all in D3 is to stack int for damage, doesn't quite sound like melee is viable at all now does it?
I fully understood that it was merely an example, I think we've covered this subject by now tho.I did not talk about ww in perticular I just used it as an example. in d2 there was one way to go, ok maybe 3 or 4 depending on what weapon u were gonna use but its still kinda the same build. now there's several and just to make sure u dont get it wrong, im NOT talking about diffrent runestones in the ww skill as sereral builds. I mean complete builds with focus around ww.
