My take on it is to sit back and wait for the beta to take shape. If it can please those who are difficult to please, then it's all the better for me. I'll be happy either way though.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I have no idea what will keep anyone other than myself playing the game. People seem to want ironclad guarantees about this game lasting us for a decade. I honestly don't see that happening much these days. We have so many options with games these days and our expectations of what keeps us playing has grown a lot since the days of Diablo 2.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I hope the game holds our interest for a while (given how long we all waited for it to be released) but it's going to boil down to what we make of the game that's given to us as much as it's up to Blizzard to create an engaging set of options.

Yeah I don't get why they would reduce density. I want rifts and bounties to be an addition to the old fartming methods, not a replacement. I don't think they do either. Hopefully they will find a good balance as the beta goes on. Thankfully we are being allowed a chance to test the end game (minus end boss). With any luck they will take into account all the feedback for the better.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I don't think rifts and bounties are poorly implemented. They are just new and need tweaking. The beta just started and all the feedback is gonna be great for improving an already cool set of ideas
Just my thoughts.

I would be fine with it either way really. When I start up again at RoS I'm going to scrap all my old gear and start from scratch. I'll just build up gear with a new character and go from there.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I've seen some concern over the frequency of legendary drops. I agree that when the game is out, if legendaries are endgame goals, they should be pretty darn rare. Otherwise it loses it's long term purpose.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But since we are in beta it's nice to be able to have people try out as many as possible in order to see how they work against skills and passive and other items. They can always tweak drop rates right before release.

I like how they have the higher difficulties offer rarer legendary plans and items. That will give you even more to shoot for long term.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm just happy they are testing the game as a whole. That way the beta will actually help highlight flaws (if there are any major ones) now rather than after release.

Being on the outside looking in at all the streams I am VERY excited to get in and to try stuff out. I love how the game will be based on self-found/group play. I spent a ton of time in the game without adventure mode (and whatever else happens to come about from RoS) and it's going to be nice feeling like the things I grind can have a lot more variation.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Just patiently waiting for my time
