Feb 26, 2012They've stated plenty of times that, if they notice there's an area in inferno where almost everybody is farming, they'll tweak it so it's no longer THAT easy, making people look for a different area, or just making it harder to still farm that same spot... That's one of the reasons the whole game is based on an online server -> easy to update and tweak.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
And anyways, I'm pretty sure different mobs in different areas will have different drop rates for the top tier items, so you'll probably be forced to try farming different areas...
Feb 26, 2012Real life + university makes makes it somewhere between 0-2 hours a day for me, even though I'll probably want to play me some more Diablo in the first few weeks.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Basically depends on when the release will be. If it's close to the start of the exams, maybe 1 hour a day. If it's before that, depends on the amount of work to do the week it comes out... So basically I don't know yet :D. Can't really ask my professor if I can take a week off like some of you can ask your boss for...
Feb 26, 2012When looking at all these stats I suddenly realized -> adds 300 life... How much HP are we going to have?!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm still used to D2 stats, where 1000+ HP was an awful lot of hp... (unless you're an über geared Barb or something of course)
Feb 26, 2012Diablo 2 a few years after release, just before LOD came out I think. I was only like 8-9 I think when I first started playing D2, so don't really remember exactly when that was. My older brother had bought it, that's how I came in contact with it. Been playing off and on again ever since then.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
And yes, I certainly stayed awhile and listened. Recently played through normal again with a twink zealadin on singleplayer and listened to every word of every story of all the townsfolk! I love the lore of this series (all blizzard series actually, even the warcraft series, until WoW came out and screwed it up....)
Off to play some more D2!! (I want the Herald Of Zakarum for my pally!!)
Feb 23, 2012Like the previous guy said about the lvl 90-99 thing, he's definitely right about that. There's no real reason for trying to get to 99 (except if you want some sort of bragging right or something).Posted in: Diablo II
I wasn't a real pvper, so I don't know anything about the difference in pvping between vanilla and LOD D2. Personally I really loved the expansion set. To me it was a great improvement to an already great game!
The first play through of normal might take you a good day of gaming or just a quick afternoon, depending on your experience with Action rpg's. But it's certainly not going to take very long.
Oh and, if you're planning on just playing to get to know the lore and all, I suggest you play it on singleplayer. I'm playing on singleplayer only now too, there's way too many bots and spammers on D2 battle.net atm in my personal opinion...
Feb 22, 2012It's somewhat the same concept as my build. With a few differences here and there. Check it out if you want:Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Feb 20, 2012Like a few others said, it is just a quick fix to finally get close to the release..Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
But there is indeed a major flaw in the system with the fact that you have to get to lvl 60 before being able to use all your abilities. I do hope that they'll change it at least a bit either with a patch after release or before the release. Because this system, while better than the original runestone system, is not ideal.
But hey, let's get the game out first, then we can start complaining again. The game itself is still a nice addition to the diablo series. The gameplay will still be awesome. This one system isn't going to make or break the whole game. So it's fine if they only fix it with a patch after release. That's one of the main reasons why blizz made the game on an online platform, so it's easy to fix things, just like with WoW.
Feb 14, 2012The guy in the video doesn't seem to get that you can break coffins and such with signature spells only, not with "actual" spellsPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The graphics do seem better, but the fog makes diablo more like diablo imo...
Feb 14, 2012All you people have gotten off the REAL subject here.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Azmodan is the type of demon boss that has a ton of servants and slaves and what not, so I guess he lets his servants take of his nipple piercings. That is of course only the case if demons have to sleep
Feb 14, 2012Hmm, Considering there's no spaces or whatever allowed... If I go female wizard, I'm going for Elunae, just like my belf mage from back in the days that I played WoW. If I'm going male wizard, either Lyov or Myshkin.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
As for my other chars, haven't decided yet, considering I'll be playing my wizard first until I've got everything I want on it :D. Considering I'm not a real hardcore gamer, that'll take a while

What do you mean looked like a bum again? You didn't loose your gear from normal as you proceeded into nightmare difficulty. Monsters just got harder and you lost some resistances.Quote from Runner55
I just couldn't stand the fact that you looked like a bum again. Biggest turnoff ever! It's a good thing this will not be the case in D3.
Well your items from normal quickly weren't worth that much anymore and in nightmare you get the nightmare version of those act 1 items. Those make you look like a bum again. It was a bit irritating having to save decky again and stuff.

I voted toggle - for one reason only...
If loot that drops is now ours alone and can't be taken by fast clickers, than I would like to focus on an intense fight without distraction of some shiny epic loot drop and toggle the loot reveal at the end of a fight.
And I would encourage any other serious player to do the same. If you are kiting a bunch of demons and your teammates are depending on you - you don't want to be plagued with the loot equivalent of a dog going "squirrel!"
I voted toggle too after reading your reply
Especially liked that last part "loot equivalent of a dog going squirrel"
