NOW,HIRE ME AS A JUNIOR GAME DEVELOPER, BLIZZARD. THANK YOU

Sry to disappoint you. The blizz people already know all that.

Fixing the game for the most dedicated players and the streamers is supereasy. Players are watching streams because they care about the game. If the game is changed in a way that it works awesome for streamers, fulltime-players and other very dedicated people, but not for the average player, why should the average player watch streams about that game, a game that has nothing to offer for his kind.

Diablo 3 is a supermainstream ARPG. It needs to be. Without the mainstream, no public interest.
Yes, you can be top#1 in the leaderboards and complain that gearing is too fast. You can also play a game where gearing takes 1500 hours and after 1200 hours you get your item and youre superproud and superhappy and its the best day of your life, but the game takes too much time for most players, so youre top#1 in a game that no one cares about.

There can't be an "elite" without the majority.

    Finally someone who understands :)
There are so many right now who feels that the more casual player base is not worthy of the game or something. They just don't realize the game would not have survived without this group who make up the majority.

it's not a bad thing when a game ends. It is a bad thing when a game is dragged on with super low droprates, though. That's not longevity, that's artificial stretching.
This, I second that. The game should keep the players interested with new challenges that will test the players' skills. Dropping the drop-rate through the floor only challenges one set of skill - not banging your head on your keyboard kind of skill XD

That being said, there has to be some balance there. I find it ok right now since having the item dropped does not mean that item is desirable. I got bunches of legendaries and ancients but the stats are far from optimal. It enables me to play on higher difficulties but I can never dream of pushing the GR so high. So the hunt continues. This is already tough enough, at least for me :)

Yup I know and I have already voted. I think it is just fine for me. I cannot speak for others, of course :)

Personally I'm not quite sure how to derive satisfaction from doing the same thing over and over for prolonged period of time just to get 1 specific gear. I almost drop D3 in its vanilla stage and start playing more in RoS (and I know some people may bash me for this but I never really enjoy D2 apart from playing the story line).

May be Bliz has finally realized that there are quite a lot of people like me and decide to expand their target audience a bit. Although right now the issue is there is not much variation in terms of challenge in the game. So I will end up feeling bored sooner or later. But at least not as fast as what happened to me in D2 and D3 vanilla.

Also, without Haedrig's gift I will never play Seasonal. Why should I? All my best builds are in non-season and you are asking me to farm for every single thing again? Within 2-3 months period? My apology, I have other things to do in life and that apparently make me a "filthy casuals" in many people's eyes :)

    Feels bad man...

Your point is fair. My apologies. I still believe discussion should be done in a constructive manner. This thread is just dissing Bliz for posting some other articles that some guys do not care about so I couldn't help but wonder. Anyway let's wait and see how things turn out :)

posted a message on About the Goblin Giggle

You probably need to reread my post a bit more. I clearly stated that we have done all that we could. If you think Bliz really is not aware of the current state of affair then I really don't know what to say. Would be relay weird if the entire player base know about the current issue and Bliz don't, eh?

But if Bliz decide to not do anything about it, then what would you do? Would you spend your entire time on this blog being angry? That is not very productive, don't you think? Would you continue nitpicking on every post Bliz make that not related to the issue at hand?

Time to move on if you are not happy. And if you decide to stay then it's time to face the fact. The game has come a long long way and it would not be a surprise if Bliz ever decide to stop updating it all together. Although that would be a very sad day indeed. But hey, may be D4? :D

Please stop trying to twist my words around into things I do not mean or put it in a complete different and incomparable context (D3 imbalance/bugs vs ISIS? Really?).

Sunwuko has gone through a few changes over time, I definitely prefer this iteration to the + daibo dmg version of old.

Agreed, although the sad part is the lore and inspiration behind it. Sunwuko (based on the monkey king/god - Sun Wukong) is supposed to be a daibo/staff master. Now it is definitely better to use dual fist weapons :(

Because it's better to be happy and enjoy life as is, don't you think so?

There have already been a large amount of feedback made to Bliz from the community and I am sure they are more than well aware of the issue at hand. However, whether they choose to address those or not is their own discretion. No amount of complaining or being angry will change their mind. We can go on bashing our head on the brick wall all we want. If they don't want to do a thing then they won't do a thing.

Better to just enjoy the game, or just move on, than being angry about something we cannot change, or being angry to someone who is trying to point it out to you, wouldn't you agree? :)

When I saw this thread name I was like wtf is this #$%@... Then I saw todays green post... Goddamn Blizzard, r u for real?

So many real problems in the game and we focus on Goblin's giggle... GG 10/10, would read again.

I don't think that's the focus... it's just a distraction. Something else to read and, you might be surprised at this, many people would probably find it an interesting article too. Blizz do not have to reveal 100% of what they are doing to you all the time now, do they? Not interested in it? Don't read it. That simple. There are many people who are different from you.
I'm still trying to understand how that article about development work on their game design lead to this. Seems like a forceful correlation to vent your anger. Calm down.

LTK can be used in melee range too. So long as you crit often enough you should not be losing all SW stacks esp with Vengeful Wind equipped. Not sure about survival though...

    Quote from Shapookya»

My solution to fix ET would be this (I already wrote this before, but I'd really like this mechanic, so I say it again :) ):

    - fix the bug where they get stuck in the environment

    - make them bounce from the walls of slow time bubbles so that wizards can "trap" them with monsters insight the bubble

    - balance the damage

It would make the playstyle easier (since you don't have to study every pixel in the environment), still let the skill be chaotic (since it still moves around) but would make ET only viable with Delseres but I don't think that's a problem.

And while I'm fixing wizard: Archon is a joke and needs changes as well. It shouldn't be all about the autocast nova from Chantodos. That's not what Archon is about...

That bouncing in the time bubble is a really nice idea. Would be pretty damn fun to see in action :)

posted a message on Fake accounts and forum bots!

I watched a friend register here on Dfans a few weeks ago and Captcha ran her through 5 or 6 screens of picking out rivers and storefronts, etc.. so I was impressed with the amount of hoops you have to jump through to register.

Some bot posting 16 pages worth of ads (that you couldn't buy anything from if you wanted to) feels a lot more like a denial of service attack rather than any genuine attempt to sell black magic spirit pandas or w/e they are advertising atm.

This would be a good time to check some security logs and see what else they have been up to... The raptors are testing the fences and it's time to beef up security in the park. ;)

May be the black magic spirit panda can help fend off the raptors XD

"Energy Twisters spawn new energy twisters on each hit of an enemy. Energy twisters spawned by energy twisters can spawn energy twisters."

Yo Dawg! Heard you like twisters, so I make the twister spawn twister while twisting, and the spawned twister can then spawn more twisting twister!

I sometimes wonder what it would be like if all 4 peeps go all out on DPS build with no support. How far could they go? XD

With few of my friends.. 4 dps as 1x 700, 2x 600 and 1x 400 para DPS team on the 9th day of the season, grift 75. We had 3 IK/Rae barbs and one UE DH lol.
I guess we could do higher now, since 2 of us are over 1k para, and rest is about 800. But even on that 75 run we had major lags, and only DH used any area effect with marked for death... Can't even imagine what would happen with any WD build in our team, lol
I remembered seeing some vid a long while back with 4 wiz teaming up. It was a sight to behold how hard they got slaughtered by some vortex Mallet Lords elite pack XD
