Quote from ZergieD3 AH should have been > WoW, but its search options are almost worse than WoWs. 10 item limit etc... uselesss word history only, its like... 10 years back in game design. It boggles the mind seriously.
This way of thinking is wrong if you take in mind that the two of the games are totally different in almost its whole content. The search options are not that perfect, but perfection comes with trial and error. When WoW came out it wasn't as it is now, it got evolved through the years. I'm expecting the same thing to happen and in D3, but not for worse i hope.
The item limit exists, as proletaria said:
Quote from proletariaI'm guessing the 10 slot limit was to reduce the volume of junk traffic.
The AH would be unusable with too many items to search for the one you want and the Blizzard servers would crash from the excess information players would send.
Also, the general purpose of the AH is to replace the trade system that existed in D2, which was the constant shout in chat to find the item you want and the person who had it, wanted something from you. In D3 the buyers become faceless but more in numbers so better chances of selling the items that you don't want or any of your alts.
