Howdy folks and welcome to my latest obsession...Posted in: Other Games
I am not sure how many people browse the *other games* section but is anyone else really keen to play this?
I pre-ordered it as soon as I heard about it, which to be fair was about three days a go haha!.
I never played the original but am really keen on games with a similar premise like Fire Emblem etc.
As far as the demo is concerned, I think it did more harm than good. The demo is far too restrictive, and based on what I have been reading about the game, it seems like the demo could put people off as much as draw them in. It doesn't show off the tactical base level at all, nor does it really give you any real freedom to play about with mechanics.
Still, it's from Firaxis, The makers of the Civ series, and Civ IV and V were such great games, a smaller squad based game coupled with the years of tactical-developing experience this studio can bring, really does create a blended cocktail of huge potential...
Rock on Oct 12th :D...

pay2win really doesn't exist now. Top end gear is so cheap that anyone playing it competitively (if ti makes it to that state) will just have the best gear.Posted in: PvP Discussion
I am still not convinced D3's PvP can ever come down to skill though... Not really anyway.
I just think for that kind of style, you are better off with something like LoL. That is pretty much Diablo-style PvP. But it has goals and clear objectives etc...

Random, im trying to macro every game.
Oh MY GAWD I hate random players!!!
Nah, it's just that most randomers will cheese as zerg and I hate holding off a 6/7 pool.
I tend to go 14 Pool / 16 hatch every time. I know the 6 pool is coming most zerg games but learning to hold it off will give me such a high econ lead that I should start winning 100% vs 6 pooling.

Having recently gotten to inferno Diablo for the first time (after playing since release) with no ahing I by far found the WD to be the easiest.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I am not sure what build you are using but I was basically using a full pet build. I did have to swap out for a higher dps build for Belial on inferno. But otherwise it was pretty easy throughout.
My dps was about 17kish when I beat Belial but about 14-15k going through Act 2. I focused on vitality, resists and HP regen for my pets. I had over 50k hp at one point and my pets pretty much never died. It was a slowish pace but super safe.

Hey guys, long time no post.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Recently got back to D3 since the 1.0.4 patch and have to say, I love it. It's actually made pet WD's really viable.
So anyway, I know some of the theory with regards to pets (they grow with your stats and can apply on-hit effects etc)...
But does this include +damage? I have tried googling and can't find a simple *yes or no*.
The scenario is that I have just found a decent +fire damage weapon. Does this boost the damage of burning dogs more than any others or is there some secret math that will make this apply to burning dogs?
Or will it not apply at all?
Or will it simply be factored into the base weapon damage and thus any/all versions of dogs just scale of it like normal?
Sorry for the newb questions, I haven't really kept up with D3 theory.
Thanks for any help.

Nope... haven't played it in a week or two. I'm not quite at 200 hours but close, something like 178.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It's an okay game but it's a bad Diablo game imo.

I don't get Assassin's Creed...Posted in: Other Games
The combat is too repetitive and easy to be considered an action game. It has zero depth.
The stealth elements are so lacking that it isn't really a stealth game. The primary offender for this is that you can kill everyone and not worry about it.
I played no.1 when it first came out and I was technically impressed. The game was, for the time, stunning. But the gameplay just feels really mish-mesh. I'd prefer a proper stealth action or straight up action game, over what we have. Which is to say, a sub-part variation of both genres.
Currently trying to play AC2 just because people keep telling me how good the series is... But I just don't really like it.
(As always, my opinion, and not trying to troll, just curious what makes these games so gripping).

I have for sure...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
In part it's Act 2 Inferno, and in another way it's what I said in my other post, that items aren't fun at the moment.
I can't wait for future changes though and haven't given up for good, but I don't honestly know when I will play again...
Currently looking forward to the Civilization V expansion ^.^...

I really like the coming changes, they look awesome!
Cant wait for the Legendary/Set items buff! (in the next patch after 1.0.3)
I do wish they would make the bosses a bit harder, and maybe make class specific items have a slightly better chance at class specific stats rolling.
And thats about it.
Random loot is fun, but totally random loot is dumb. Class specific stuff should have a reasonably good percentage of rolling class specific stats (even if it rolls low stats)... It's annoying getting DH only gear that has amazing wizard stats for example.
That isn't an enjoyable experience. But just my opinion of course.
