I thinkPosted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from SilvachDon't say you bought D3 because u thought it's gonna be WoW or something?
I think most people wanted the exact opposite. That it didn't turn out to be so WoW like.

Remember this video from 2008?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
EDIT: no link, for some reason it won't let me link
I think they had it just about nailed right there. I'm all for the passive skills thingy instead of the traits they were juggling with a few years back, but what we have now is pretty bad IMO. Considering all the hype that surrounded the game in the past few years up until launch it's not that good. I know a lot will disagree with me, hell some will even say I whine, I just think the skills looked cooler in that video than the ones we have now. (And also the skills in the 2010 19 minute DH gameplay one).
For someone who has never played Diablo before (like my first Elder Scrolls game was Skyrim and I think it was awesome however a lot seem to prefer Oblivion or Morrowind), the game might be cool. They have nothing to compare with, either because they simply didn't play D1/D2 or because they are simply too young to have done so.
Obviously it's a different team that made this one and times have changed too. Gaming was different 12 years ago when D2 came out, Diablo was new and the team had free hands to do what they thought was right at the time. Today they are required to make a game that will make them the most revenue so they took a crap on their own integrity (like I have said before I know) and made the RMAH. The fun in D2 was to find your own gear IMO or trade with others. Don't use the AH you say? Well how the heck am I gonna progress then when it's all crap gear that drops?
Well they obviously made it this way to get people to use their AH/RMAH.
I'm all for companies making money, but don't insult our intelligence and think that we'll all be head nodding little fanboys that will play whatever you throw at us... Oh wait, I did buy the game, they got my money and they probably couldn't care less cause I'm not one of the people who are gonna use the RMAH. They knew damn well that the old time fans of the series would buy the game no matter what as long as it said 'Diablo' on the box.
Oh well, I have currently 121 hours so I guess that's good value for 60 bucks.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from RobzyI highly doubt anyone who is complaining about inferno found all of their gear, not buying a single piece from the AH/RMAH.
You ruined the endgame for yourself.
No Blizz did when they included that shit.

Lets see your profile then?

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from mic129If you really are a diablo fan, you wouldnt even be here crying, youd be in-game trying to kick some asses in inferno. The game isnt broken or ''too hard'' you gotta leanr to play your char and learn how to gear it.
No one wouldn't. One would if it was a Diablo game. It isn't truly.

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from KodachiiI am disappointed and I will only be logging back into d3 sparingly when there is absolutely nothing else to do.
That's about how I feel at this point. I log in, play a little, then I die and then I logout. Sad really.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from DUNCAN99So was she? why were we even there? She kinda looks like the mystic, the third artisan. Was she the mystic that was later removed from the game?
The game feels so unfinished to me because of things like this.
Not just a very bad story and bad story telling. But also incomplete and making no sense.
Totally agree and I was thinking the same thing the first time I played through it. She looked like the mystic and it made me feel like Blizz rushed the game. They gave in on the public and demolished their own integrity by doing so.

Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from TromboneQuote from Kildeer888If you wanted an intelligent discussion about the game, you'd have posted your own views on it instead of copying someone else's.
That's stupid, why can't a point be debated even if it isn't mine? If this was an accepted thing in society, no one would ever debate anything. Lol. I didn't copy them, I presented them here to find a bigger, and hopefully smarter audience than where it was originally posted. Boy was I wrong.
Oh you didn't copy them? You presented.... what a fine word for the action of ctrl + c > ctrl + v.
If you really wanted to have an intelligent discussion you'd have pointed us toward the post on the official forums with a link and then wrote your own views on the matter in your own words. What you expressed was laziness, nothing more. Not a hint of intelligence there buddy.
