It's sad that you can only validate your existence if you're 'better' than someone else at some thing or another.
On topic: they (Bash) stated somewhere in the bnet forum that, currently, the number of gems you need to reach lvl14 is huge (around the 15k mark, i believe they said).
Do we even know what the recipes to upgrade gems are? As far as I know, we don't, or is there proof somewhere? Runes are at a certain point required 2 runes of the same level to upgrade to the next. Why is that, you think?
I'm just going to assume 2 of the same gems is all thats needed to upgrade to the next, and you would need 512 level 5 gems to get a level 14 gem.
That sounds a lot more believable than 19683 level 5 gems.
Well 19k is their number, and as they stated it's like reaching level 99.
The top tier of each gem isn't supposed to be easy to get and common as hell, and that's their intention.
However I also agree that 19k gems to reach a level 14 is a bit ridiculous, but this is their current intent, since gems are the only socketable items at this time.
If the quarterly report that was leaked was real and anything to go off of (which I know isn't solid, so leave your flames behind) then may-july would be the most reasonable release on a BETA (see'ing as how Wilson stated the game would be released live 6 months post-beta).
We can only sit, wait and hope that the schedule was actually theirs and is correct.

Now...if they could at least manage to give us some kind of target release date...
We know Blizzard usually does not make their release dates, but at least it would get rid of some of this anticipation for the game...

We know nothing about it, whether there will be an Auction House or not, or really anything on it at all.
I'm still very curious as to how they plan to set up a trading system that won't fall through.
