May 3, 2012AlaskanVeteran posted a message on Diablo III: Wrath - Behind the Scenes of the Animated ShortI'm disappointed with the 100% unlock. But I'm sure most other die-hard Diablo fans will love it! It's just not my cup of tea. Anyway, I still give Blizz props for doing another unlock page for us. The interviews were certainly interesting. Now I can't wait to get the CE in my hands. I'm going to rip it open faster than you can say Ambesol™.Posted in: News

Haha yeah.
And SIIIGHHH at the canned response for UI options. If that's the issue, give us an ini file with a complete list of options to turn anything in the UI off and so many people will be happy to go edit that file and turn off stupid annoying things. The "friendly UI" can remain untouched because those people don't care about the more advanced options anyway.
I couldn't agree more, Duck. Oh well, the game will still be epic. -shrug- -

I'll go ahead and take that to mean the game will be out on that special day in June, barring any major setbacks. I'm optimistic. Looks like my summer will have a little less outdoor activity. ;]Posted in: News

I'm still deciding on which class my first character will be. Besides, there's one left to reveal so I can't make a final determination yet.Posted in: News

For those who compare D3 to WoW... wow. All I can do is shake my head. You will see, skeptics, you will see. :whistling: -
Sep 25, 2010AlaskanVeteran posted a message on Uncle Sixen Wants YOU!I applied. Should be able to put in a good 8-12 hours per week. Sure, I only have one post (this one) but I just joined! Now they didn't claim to be 'anonymous' but claimed to be a force around the planet with numbers growing steadily -- apparently planning operations and carrying them out. So I'm guessing that's them and I'm certain the FBI, NSA, and/or the CIA already have at least a couple of moles that know all about the people behind the anonymous hackings. They'll just wait in the shadows for months or years until they follow the tree of anonymous down to every root. In my opinion anyway. :-)

This is exactly my thought process. I'm tethering so it reads as very slow even though it's really closer to 150-200 kb/s (still slow but nearly as bad). Fingers crossed that my connection speed will flag Blizzard down and send an invite my way -- perhaps even early on.

Do you think I'll ever be chosen for the beta with this connection speed?

Alright, well that's definitely comforting. I'll go ahead and drive over to my in-law's house to run the system info tomorrow. lol. They know nothing about computers so I won't even try to explain any of it to them. Thanks for your input.

I'm a PC guy and I'm on an hp laptop, actually. I dislike Apple. I'm even replacing my iPhone with an Android in a few months. So I'm not sure what to do now.

The error message is:
"There was a problem sending your system information to Battle.net. Please check your internet connection, close all applications and try again. For further assistance, please visit Battle.net."
A browser window is launched every time it fails, directing me to their support page: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=26886
Unfortunately, the website was no help. I couldn't find anything on Google either. Perhaps I should simply use a friend's proper internet connection to complete the opt-in with their system information? Or would this become an issue if I were chosen for the beta and my system didn't match the profile when I attempt to download the client?
Any suggestions, my fellow D3fans?
(inb4 extremely last minute opt-in... )
