WTF????? cmon seriously WTF. i thought jay wilsons team was making ground breaking work here, and now i see theyve ripped off the original diablo dev team (shaefer bros++) torchlight game.
yes they have made minor changes (destructive terrain can kill mobs) but WTF??
and this made me lmao seriously...
i might be over reacting, and if the thread has been created already apologies i could nto find it (please can you point me to it!)
wtf seriously :wallbash:
I'm not that a fan off Torchlight ( looks to much childisch in my eyes), but still it's a nice indie-game
Ohh god I want diablo 3 so bad

Strangely I don't really care, I could live with it being a surprise until release. To me D3 now has 4 classes. The more news the better of course, but I wouldn't really mind.
The one thing that would make me really happy is a (first half of 2011) release date. Even if the only thing they announce is when the game will be released, I'll be happy.
same here mate, I want a fast release date:p
The game looked already awesome 2 years ago hehe^^

In my opinion the wizard gameplay looks AWESOME; I'm a fan off RP'games/hack & slash and THIS is divine for me.Quote from kgydkgyd
Jesus... Wizard gameplay video looks terrible. Looks almost same with Torchlight. And health globes are plain ugly.
Just look to the awessome art design, environment, graphics, animations, special effect, interface, gameplay ( and so on...)
I played nearly all games this decenium on the PC-platform and this is one off the rare titles you see only a few time in a lifetime! If you know this is still unfinished work, I can only say I'm impressed.
Sep 20, 2010Hey,Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm not sure most people already seen this video, so that's why I want to share this
This video is filmed from gamescon @ 2010
click ( old vid)
@ 06.26 I think I saw an achievement system< new="" record:="">
Also the avatar gained experience from it.
The talent system does me think to WoW ( atleast the layout)
I can't believe my eyes, this game looks just.. divine!
Enjoy the watch

I guess the problem is with your OS or something. I use Ultimate and I had no issues to run D2 either or Vista or Win7, not even "Run as Administrator" or "Compatibility Mode". On Win7 I did not even install it, I just use the package that was on the PC before formatting and installing Win7, and works.
It will be good if you tell us what is the message you receive when you try launching the game.
Note: If tells you that is not win32 application, try removing the sound.dll and/or sound3d.dll from the folder. Do not worry, the game will crate a new one. in Vista and 7 the standard one that the game come with do not really fit and are not recognized and therefore the game cannot initiate.
The problem is that the LoD setup.exe just doesn't start, I tried all, watched all forums, googles, used other websearch, but it seems there isn't an answer. Arrh I'll just stick with diablo 2 without expension
Soon Diablo 3 will be there *prays* xD

Yeah I'm running D2 on Vista right now and it works just fine. And you do wanna make sure all the compatibility and admin options are checked off on the executable files.
Yes I tried that all, but nothing works
The expension LoD just doesn't want to load for some reason, tried my cd-disk, different iso-files, all the option you mentioned above, but it seems nothing works
Anyway I can play diablo 2 without expension, so that's fine to
Gone install now the resolution mod for a higher graphical experience ^^

Well, I've looked for a similiar fix before (for Win 7, not Vista).
Here's how I did it.
Go to Google, and type in "Diablo 2 LoD vista." Lots of solutions. I can't verify all of them will work, but that's how I got D2 and War3 running on my Win7 comp.
k thx man I hope it works
Diablo 2 works, but the expension LoD not strange
For some reason the setup sceen doesn't load when I put the disk in, and now I already dowloaded from a torrent site the LoD expension to see if my disk is broken and it doesn't work either
Diablo 3 can't be there soon enough! Anyway collector edition will be mine, togheter with the art book from blizzard ( I hope they sell these books to, love their art!)
Sep 19, 2010Hey guys,Posted in: Diablo II
I wanted to play Diablo 2 again to prepare me for diablo 3, but it seems this dream became rather a nightmare.
I've been trying everything to try the expension LoD running to install it, but it seems vista doesn't respond on it.
Diablo 2 was succesfully installed but LoD doesn't respond
Anyway does anyone knows how to resolve this problem, or is it impossible to play diablo 2 & LoD on vista?
Many thanks & greetz,
