Hey all, I haven't been able to find information regarding the specifics of how splash damage works. Specifically I understand the mechanics for single target skills but am unaware of how it works with AOE abilities. Lets say for instance a barb using cleave on 5 enemies, is splash damage calculated for every enemy hit provided you get lucky and it procs off every enemy? Each enemy then taking 20% × 4 damage additionally provided you have that much splash damage?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I really like having the large EHP because even with the rubberbanding I get constantly my barb just doesn't die, as for overpower I have played with it a few times and it just doesn't seem to suit my play style. I feel awkward without a fury generator

Paragon levels are an important part of better loot and this is why I am in favor of making them account wide. I want to be able to play whatever class I feel like playing at that moment without having to worry about not getting any decent loot. Or lets say the last patch nerfed your class and compromised your farming eficiency and you want to play a barb instead.
Seriously?.."compromised your farming efficiency"? "Not getting decent loot"..
Why do people think like that.? Its like you guys enjoy taking a ARPG that's fun and turning into what seems as a job.
Well, as long as a lot of people continue to pester Blizzard with the same non issues this game will never be great. No offense.
If it was to me id make SC deaths remove one level from paragons and never allow it to be account wide.
People think that way because by and large diablo is a game about finding gear and improving upon characters. Yes the combat is fun and that is what gives the current game its following but the ability to find meaningful gear is what keeps many people coming back. MF is a tool to allow the increased chance at better drops and blizzard had stated many times in the past they wanted to do away with mf on gear, paragon levels are likely the first nail in that coffin. I am not sure why you are so opposed to differences of opinion or preferences but any real discussion will only begin when you stop saying things like "why do people think like that?" and then claim they are the reason for everything bad.
As for paragon levels being account wide, I can't honestly see them making all the bonuses account based.. I would have to believe that it will be as some have said merely magic find based or a percentage there of

I run mp8 when solo essence farming and mp10 with my friends, I do mp8 simply for how quick things die. Mp10 is much the same for me in terms of not really needing to pay attention (damage mitigation) but it takes noticeably longer to killPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

I haven't used warcry in some time now, after above 500ish all resist and 6000 armor it didn't seem as vital. Take that with a grain of salt however as my barb have significantly higher stats than yours at present, passively my barb has 650 all resist and 8000 armor. With the low health your barb currently has I would keep warcry for survivabilityPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

honestly drop your current inna's for a high vit one, 180+. You have the dps for mp9 but you have pretty low health as mentioned and it looks like not tremendous amounts of resists, those two will help you survive much better than the few dps you will lose to gain themPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

Just noticed and again completely up to you but with your resists and armor I would drop warcry for hammer of the ancients. The boost to your single target dps will really help with elitesPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

crafting really is a good investment, as stated above I would look into a good 6 crit IK helm. Outside of that you do have a good defensive stat setup which is nice to see as most barbs are gearing as glass cannons.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
As for farming act 1 is pretty good for consistent monster packs/elites, I would start with mp5 and see how quickly you kill things. Depending on how fast/slow elite packs are going down I would adjust accordingly. Not some hard fast rule but I like elite packs to be down in under 15-20 seconds (not counting the kinds that continuously run away) and if I cant manage that I will drop the mp. Obviously the monster power thing is more a personal preference

What he said, 5% life steal will make a world of difference for your survivability. Also you can stand to have less life so switching to rubies is also a decent planQuote from Kamisei2400
5% lifesteal is recommended, you go with 3 from just the passive. I'd start there.
