I know the baning strategy won't change but what I hope for is that the parties that had botters in them will be removed from that spot on leaderboards. If they played with botters knowingly or not they should be removed from that spot, not baned, but removed from that leaderboards spot.

a sorry :) lightning rune this is why I said, lightning swords wrong choice of words I guess. Problem with istvan is healing but not in the grift vs elites or trash but the boss. Some GRs hit very hard and that is when you can feel the lower healing when compared with the healing rune from ww.

A Strange thing that I have never seen once players saying that Battle Rage Bloodshed is actually Unusable. Yes is very powerfull but what good does it do when you meet the craziest density and you can't actually use it because it creates so much lag that even pausing game every 0.5 seconds doesn't work anymore. On Eu players started on softcore (using bulkatos) to swap Bloodsheed with Into the fray because of the lag.

Taking this into consideration id say that Istvan lightning build is above Bulkatos or Istvan physical build, but who know maybe some players don't have this insane lag.

I could think of one easy fix to primal ancients , i dont understand how come people who are paid 6 zero's can't think of it.

They should be viewed as another thing that weakends paragon alongside Caldesans but the problem is with their rarity. I don't think those guis get what it means 1% chance when you want to make a "CERTAIN" build. They say they do but I don't think they do.

That is an extremely bad idea in a game that has no trade and has a "competitive" aspect in a the form of Greater Rifts. Maybe you didn't understand the full implication of 1%, you should think more about it and remember because in diablo there is such a huge RNG factor when it comes to stats rolling many legendaries and ancients are total crap. wonder how primals would look ?

1% is an extremely bad idea considering legendaries have such a HUGE RNG. They ider need to increase the drop rate of Primals or make some kind of upgrade system for Ancient legendaries, maybe destroying Primals could give another material that can be used to upgrade an ancient witj to a primal with the same stats.

One thing is clear : Something must be done because in this game we have no trading so with 1% a guy might play all season without finding a GOOD primal.

And now possibly they'll drop with red text?! *twilight zone theme*.

And you know whats even more stranger ? That it was all my imagination. It took me 5 seconds to come up with something better than blizzard.
First: No one wants to start farming Bounties like a bot to have 1% chance to get primal, and I tell you people will do it because Primal weapon is OP. (that feels like a forced incentive and that never helps the fun factor )
Second: to have a powerfull item drop with another color/ sound would ad more flavor to a game that is suffering from Progeria.

It's fine. It's a Diablo game. We all knew what we were getting into when we started. It's okay to step away from a thing when you're not having fun. Cancel that: it's healthy to do exactly that. If you're not enjoying yourself leave some feedback then go do something else.

    Easy peasy.

how is it the wrong math ( mind you I didn't take anything else into consideration ) those are just the main multipliers?

That Guy has 4000 paragon, something no barb would reach in season, also If you would play barb you would understand that mote is nowhere near raekor 6ik/4r, at 4000 paragon raekor goes way way higher than mote.

Also this is a comment rom the gui who actually did in the end 96

    Hi all,

Free has asked me to test the before and after of all these changes.

I have pretty good WW gear with the correct stats, augmented with 100-105 gems, and very high paragon (4000+). The reason Free asked me to test on my Barb is because with her, Blizzard can't say the set is Paragon dependent. If a Paragon 4000 can't replicate the same results, you'd know there's an issue.

WOTW Performance when the PTR launched:

    • 95 in 13 minutes 30 seconds, with very minimal fishing (3 keys?). Could have gone higher by atleast 2 GR levels (97).

WOTW Performance after the "design change" AKA Nerf to 400% WW damage:

    • Barely clearing 85-86... even after burning keys to get "good" trash mobs to kill and dense maps.

WOTW Performance after the newest change to 800% WW damage and new Dust Devils Weapon damage:

    • Struggling to clear 92.

Results: Wrath of the Wastes has still been nerfed from its live (base PTR) state. It would need a bigger WW% damage increase to get backto where it was. Perhaps 1200%?

    Thanks,

    Arch

We complain this much because this game has no equal when it comes to combat feeling and fluidity. No Other ARPG comes close to this, except Devilian but that is some crappy mmorpg. We are sad to see DEVS making mistakes after mistakes and showing us that they don't really understand some aspects from the game that they made.

Let me say this with a little example.

Next patch they changed Barbarian Set Wrath of the wastes making the 6 piece bonus.

    from this

Whirlwind gains the effect of the Dust Devils rune and Dust Devils damage is increased to 2500% weapon damage

    to this

Whirlwind gains the effect of the Dust Devils rune and all Whirlwind damage is increased by 800%

now your usual casual noob o the neighborhood would say well 340%*800% and another 120%*800% is better than 120%*2500% damage right ? ( 340% is ww skills damage could be 400% if ire rune is used and 120% is dust devils damage ), WRONG

You see the damage of this set even tho was crap it came rom AREA DAMAGE and WW it self generates crap area damage when compared with the Dust Devils so there you go a BUFF that is actually a NERF

And I could give you more examples of devs incapability to understand how certain things work in this game.

Don't get me wrong this game is good but when compared to the other two games it becomes obvious that it not up to par whit what they were, true gems that revolutionized the genre then maybe we expect to much from Blizzard, the yare not the same Greed changes many.

posted a message on Factors that killed D3

Its actually pretty simple to see if a ARPG is bad or good, couse all games like this have some default milestone that need to be followed to make it a good game and those are:

    1. Itemisation

    a. How loot is gattered

    - in diablo 3 is way to easy to get the all powerfull sets and is way to boring to get the end game gear, mind you I did not say perfect rolls. Why is it boring you might ask, well because end game loot doesn't come rom drops anymore but from crafting and that requires a retarded amount of doing some very very boring bounties. POE on the other hand has crafting and some other option to get gear but most of it you can get from loot, it follows the same loot system that all GOOD ARPGS had. The way things go for a good ARPG is that loot from drops needs to be meaningful and in diablo 3 we don't have this, we never did. Legendaries are mostly souls and in the past legendaries were crap and one sided.

    b. Freedom of choice

    - You will notice that I use a lot the word freedom and is not just a habit. Its one of the most important features that sets apart ARPGS from MMORPGs and diablo just doesn't have that. Sets are one sided and there is not much choice in between. the LON was a good idea but to late, it should've been the first set to get implemented. Don't be fooled by the "play your way" trend that Blizzard wanted to feed us, there is no such thing.

    c. How much of the game can become boring and seen as a chore. ?

    - Something can be boring for some people and not so much for others the problem comes when players feel forced to do them as they supply the best possibility for getting a certain item. At that point they become chores and no one NO ONE plays a game to do chores.

    2. Caracter development

Later i'm to bored now :)

    3. End game

Later i'm to bored now :)

+1 As UncleDan sayd they made this games end contend so dull that it became dependent on new content exactly like a MMORPG were as a GOOD ARPG like diablo 2 didn't need that much content.

I voted exactly for what really destroyed this game (from the start) it was never repared only stitched.

    - Itemization (item progression)

    - End game build diversity

    - Paragon/experience system ( dull and uncapped for EONS always ignored by devs )

    - Solo vs group disparity

    I might also add

    - LAG

and when speaking about itemization I would add that it sucks that after a while you don't loot any upgrades anymore the only way to upgrade being BOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTYBOUNTY until your brains explode or your but jumps on the window.

But once again the calls are not for the system to be less rigged in favour of some at the expense of others thus making this external threat less appealing, people less likely to jump ship; no, the calls are for this external threat to be quashed leaving the system as it is. Is comfortable, it provides, it caters to us.

Its pointless to change the system as men will always try to cheat the system. Do guns kill people or do people kill people ? Don't blame the system or the mechanical tool for what people are, trash, savages, bastards who care only about themselves.

I play with a very good barb and we have no problem sadly he once changed to sup monk and saw what a Thud barb can do and after a few days of felling bad he installed Thud also :), this is why I said is like an infection, this is how powerful this cheat is for sup barbs. Saying that tho, Thud doesn't transform a crap barb into a good barb, crap is crap no matter the flavor you add above :). All good barbs know where pilons can spawn in good maps and when they should go look for them, with or without Thud.

As I said before, I don't blame the "weaklings" that use thud but Blizzard for not taking action against Thud users thos making more and more players want to install it.

Thud shows the map and density in fog of war on a two screens radius or something like that ( as big as the minimap ) information that is hidden to the normal player, makes elite attributes very easy to see even when they are not on screen, makes sanctuary very easy to see and that is extremely helpful in huge density maps, shows progress on screen and much more data that is hidden from your legit player.

Maybe you should educate yourself more, this is a CHEAT and those that use it shouldn't lie to themselves at least saying otherwise.

posted a message on Almost everyone and his grandmother is Using TurboHUD

I only came to softcore last season and started playing more and more in party. The moment I started playing there a new trend became obvious was like 1/3 players were using turbo hud. If some barbarian didn't have this cheat in many cases he became the laugh of the other 2 guis in the party with me /facepalming at what I was seeing in chat. Please don't get this thread as "another noob crying" as some halfbrain idiots flame those kind of threads no, the thing is I really don't know how Blizzard handles this problem. I saw many bans but we don't actually know if they banned only botters or Thud users also.

Blizzard clearly stated that this program is a cheat but I se no large scale action taken against it and like it happened with botters in season 4, before the ban rom season 5 when we saw more and more botters because of Blizzards inaction so it happends now with turbo hud. Used to be 1/3 players using it now its more like 1/2 players using it.

I still remain to my initial statement tho that Turbo Hud is not as destructive as Botting but the "weaklings" that use it still need to be punished. A seasonal Rollback would suffice, as or non season well... I don't play nonseason but im sure something can be found as punishment for that mod also.

Seems you've gone silent so let me ask with a quote maybe you see better or maybe someone else knows the answer.

Can you point me where they said they snapshot a GREATER RIFT and not a RIFT. Ofc saying a rift is ambiguous and could very well mean a Greater rift but we cannot be 100% sure as you made it sound.

Imo Challenge Rifts is the way to go. In Challenge Rifts you are on equal grounds. Botting will not benefit you in a Challenge Rift.

The leaderboard system could transition to Challenge Rifts.

This would reduce the impact of the current Paragon System, creating the opportunity to change and improve it.

Problem is no one knows much about them. Few very important question should be asked like, what difficulty are they based upon ? Rifts difficulty ( max t13) or Greater Rits dificulty where you have the possibility of increasing the difficulty of the greater rift. If they are based on Rifts they WILL FAAAAAIL I not they will be good if implemented well.

"An ARPG should not be about XP / hour but about LOOT and when a game makes XP the main focus for power then it means this game's loot sucks. Paragon is just collateral damage to what the main problem was from the start in this game, CRAP LOOT."

posted a message on Softcore Gameplay from a Hardcore Player perspective

I have been playing Hardcore since the Release of the game with only a small breaks to softcore while RMAH was in its golden age. Hardcore was always thrilling for me, the suspense, the adrenaline rush you get when you are about to die from your own doing surpassed everything that existed on softcore. At this moment I demoted myself to softcore and not because of constant DDOS attacks but because, well... stay a while and listen.

    So what happened ?

Well to put it in easiest way I could explain, IT ALL GOT SIMPLIFIED and TIME BASED.

Loot has no value, legendaries became more recognized because of the souls you get from them.

Difficulty the only difficulty is hidden behind greater rift pushing and that requires a LOOOOOT of fishing that can become even frustrating

Caracter progression comes in the form of a stupidly and unimaginative + 5 main stat be it paragons or gems. ( I don't even consider gear a part from character progression seeing that you can gear up fully in like a week of season or even less)

When I moved to softcore I was afraid that the feeling that you get when you are about to die was gone even tho on hardcore you can die only when pushing your char at the limits and that was happening only in the last 2 weeks of season. To my surprise the amount of FISHING is required to push on softcore is so huge that when you get a good Grift you are so hyped and focused on not failing that you don't even know you are on softcore anymore, all you know is you musn't fail or you will be punished with another 100+ of fishing Grifts.

In My eyes Hardcore is dead and has a lot to do with the increase of Disconnects because of DDOS attacks but also because of the TIME PENALTY that is hidden behind Caldessans. Don't get me wrong Hardcore is Hardcore and penalties are always welcome but when that penalty comes in the form of boring Gem Upgrading on lower difficulties that feels bad.

At the moment the game is so easy and build around easy stuff ( aka bounties / rifts / speed grifts ) that there is no difference between softcore and hardcore anymore because if you know the game, you wont die. The only difference comes in the form of pushing but even there because of the huge amount of fishing on softcore stays almost the same. Whit that said to those that are afraid to lose the feeling of hardcore, don't worry go to softcore that feeling is lost anyway or diminished to an unrecognizable amount.

    What is Hardcore ?

3 Hours of lvling char and getting the first set + the last week or two weeks of season

Btw seeing how easily you get mad i'm not wondering you are banned from Bnet, but sorry if i offended you.

Apologies accepted. The reason why I get mad is "stupid comments", there is nothing wrong with players having different opinions than me but when players come with comments like "are you jealos" or some shit like this yes, I get mad.

I think they just used the thread as the scapegoat tbh. Now I have no idea why would they change the ring 1 day before season starts lol

Did we really want another 3 months of 1 OP build, didn't we have like 3 seasons of that? Funny thing is last 3 seasons were
    season 4 - static monk dps ( exploit )
    season 5 + 6 - Twister Wizz ( exploit )

I am very VERY curious if we will get another Exploit meta this season, I we do we can safely say Blizzard have forgotten about diablo or are a bunch of incompetent .....

Most likely there will be an iteration of firebird that will top dps in party, maybe on equal ground with generator monk, guess we will just have to wait for those 24/7 chinese players to test things for us.

For me it will be a fun experience as it will be the first Season I will be playing support , so im glad barb is stil in meta :) tho the idea of playing zero dps support goes against all I believe in when it comes to ARPGS.

Well most of the time i'm mostly in tops 10 but i'm not that blind to not see the problem. I want to compete with all players not only players that play more than me, I find this totally retarded and it will only push more and more towards what Wyatt Cheng once said.

posted a message on Solo Leaderboards FIX - Paragon / Gems problem

We all know that solo leaderboards are not exactly solo leaderboards but mostly they are about how much you play into meta for XP farming. This is not so easy to see in lower solo leaderboards but the higher you go the more obvious this problem seems and this is due to the power Paragon and Gems hold. Mind you this idea is not mine but it does seem to be one of the best solutions to cut the dependency of solo leaderboards from party play.

I write this here because im baned from bnet forums and I would like to spread the word on this, so here goes.

The solo Grift should dictate how much paragon and how much from your gems and caldessan enchants you are able to use in that grift.

    Example.

Grift 90 makes use of 900 paragon and gems lvl 90 ( those can be changed for more balance )

Grift 85 makes use of 850 paragon and gems lvl 85

    ...

Doesn't matter if you have paragon 2000 and all gems on you and Caldessans are 120 if you do solo grift 70 only 700 will be accounted for and all gems 70. Its true this might require some changes to the paragon system because at grifts 70 - 79 things would get "strange" so what I suggest is implement this ideea for all grifts 80+, this way there is no need for ap aragon system change.

If paragon limitation depending on grift is to hard to implement then they could limit the amount of main stat from paragon that you are allowed to carry in a certain grift.

Even tho gems can be lvled in party and same with paragon the solo leaderboards will give all players the possibility to go for top ranks. This is pretty much the way things should be if Blizzard and the community cares and anyone who likes this ideea should spread the word on bnet.

This can also be transformed for 2,3,4 player leaderboards but then "some" players would say paragon is limited and they have nothing else to play for.

Would you play this game if loot drops were nerfed to .00001 meaning you can play 200 hours without an upgrade?

That would be fine IF there would be trade and smart loot removed, that said thre was a time when drops were ok now you can get full geared in a week with ancients and then what ? XP mindless farming GG.

IM sorry I wasn't talking about him I was talking about you :) , thumb rule that is mostly correct is that at this point the only ones that defend the current paragon system are casuals who don't see what is happening in the long run. Mostly players who never had contact with diablo 2 and 1 AND most of the action RPGs diablo like.

    1. Paragons are an issue ( they are a big ONE for competitive players )

    2. Solo leaderboards should reflect your solo power not how much you farmed the META / day

    3. Gear progression got faster and faster over the seasons only to appeal the casuals that want everything handed to them as a consequence of this is the total loss of legendary value ( not power ), this game is not a loot farm anymore, is a XP farming game and if they continue with this they might as well put a vendor in town with all the gear and let us buy cheap with gold all we want. Diablo 3 is getting closer and closer to an arcade game.

    4. The point when they introduced T10 and now T13 should be oblivious of the problem

    5. Its imposible to alance a game in a constant power creep, this is why I think Blizzard will slowly stop with the power creep.

    6. Well here I see no problem, its like in any online game you have the good the bad and the ugly.

Almost all he said is true therefore my comment.

    Quote from Kimmen85go-next

This season will be one of my shortest. I will play the season journey and collect the stashtab, if i did not get a tab, i would definitely not play season 7.

My issues with the game is:

    1) Paragon points giving too much power and destroying competition in GR's

    2) Solo leaderboards plaged with players who dont play solo.

    3) Gear progression being to fast

    4) Difficulty progression being to fast

    5) Item, set and abillity balancing

    6) Divided Community and elitist jerks

If none of the above is addressed, im pretty sure that a stash tab, no longer will be enough to bother playing period.

Sorry, man, but your main issue with the game is that you are not ready to spend enough time playing it. Rest is more or less complete BS.
id say you lack a lot of knowledge about diablo 3 and RPGs in general if what he said is total BS

Thing is next season il main a barb for solo leaderboards but I will mostly play a WD for good XP gem upgrading mostly because is meta. Playing meta lets you echip any class you want and also have crazy paragon. It would be harder to equip a class for LON if you don't play it is true but sets are easy to do.

So Wd is the dps meta this patch? Dont really want to go WD since I went Wd last season.

But because it's meta, you have to go WD?
For those that play until end of season and hunt leaderboards playing with a meta class makes all the difference. On hardcore you can do top 10 playing pretty much any class because the number of players is very low but on softcore is meta or the highway.

posted a message on Diablo IV Speculated to be announced at BlizzCon 2016?

I was 100% sure the source was rhykker's video, well looking for attention or not Rhykker said that there can also be an error with that dice and nothing to do with D4. But I think this year to many things happened that indicate D4. Remember when diablo 3 was announced 10 thousand years ago they released a hidden wallpaper made of puzzle pieces and every day or week don't remember exactly a new piece would fall revealing the diablo 3 poster.

So yea lets hope they do a Diablo 4 to redeem themselves for the mistakes they did in diablo 3.

posted a message on 7 Reasons why Diablo 3 is still ...

1 ) Well from the flip flops and revamps this game had i think is clear to say this game had no direction. Yes it was always about killing monsters but you forgot the fat loot that was never there. An arcade game is about killing monsters, or whatever is the enemy in that game. Loot was always bad and one sided before ROS not to mention most of the loot was at AH. After the AH closed and 2.0 came i was thrilled but now if i watch in retrospective wasn't the best idea because now the loot is so diluted it lost all significance. It takes you 3 days to become almost full ancient because good loot is like mushrooms.

2)PVP was the greatest lie in the history of gaming and mostly because it looked so awesome. Arena ? shit im sold.

    ...

6)Cmon... a diablo game with as much skill customization as Heroes of the Storm ? The skill system was constantly dumbed down because the future console release and the laziness of the new generations of gamers.

    ....

if you played wow and diablo you should see the connection.

    - dumbed down skill system

    - game parts locked behind other game parts

Example rifts - trials - greater rifts / rifts - greater rifts

And the bad part about this is not that you have locked content ( harder content ) behind (easy as shit content ), the problem is once unlocked you are still forced to play the easy as shit content to be able to play the harder content.

    - daily quests in the form of bounties

Locked items behind bounties might seem a nice thing until you get to the easy as shit part again :(

Yes we will have T13 in Season 7, wonder why / facepalm
