Anyting over 4 minutes is terribly slow.

Hm yeah, sort of agree. However, every now and then you might get a cave map... I don't like those average times because it depends more on map than anything else. I was trying my new UE DH yesterday (2nd class) and it took me ages (probably way more than 5 minutes). My friends who had been afk in town joined the rift and where like "why the f is it not clear yet" and then realized I was on level 6, with all levels empty cave maps. Can't really do anything about that.

That being said, if you get an open rift (like Desolate Sands, Fields of Misery, Cemetery, ...) you might want to stop the time and if it takes a lot more than 2 minutes to clear than you're not fast enough and should lower the difficulty. An open, single-level map with good density is a much better measurement than RNG-based "average clear times".

    Agree.

posted a message on Introduce seasons to consoles

Unless diablo on console requires internet connection for seasons aka no tampering its not gonna happen.

Good luck trying to stay legit on console with a cheater almost every few games, whats that ? you can play solo to avoid cheaters ? why would you wanna ruin online experience like that.

On my side, I play on console because I love playing offline, solo, or with friends on the couch. Even if I do not cheat (no time to learn how anyway), I'm done with online playing for a while (5 years as PvE rogue on WoW).
Also waiting for the Skyrim full HD version at the end of the year :D

Couldn't they make it so that you could only play seasons if online, but still play non season while offline?

For the same reason you could (can still ??) dupe items on console version. And also, the players on console (remember that PS4 and Xbox networks are not linked) are far less numerous to play online that those playing offline (like me).
On PC, as everyone must be online to play, that's no issue then, everyone can access and play season (without paying a fee to M$ nor $ony).

T11 atm. A slight improvement with no loss of time.

Soon I hope doing the same at 12. But it'll take some time to roll on T13 as quickly.

They won't and do not intend to because console version of Diablo can be played offline (understand without a livelink to game servers) so anyone can cheat offline and return online cheated. That would break game balance.

And it's only the first reason I found amongst many others.

On my side, I do not care of season challenges and rewards. On console, you can't change your portrait, so only the pet will be available. Also, I do not have time and take fun by playing hard during a 3 months timeframe just to loose everything (more or less) at the end and restart from the beginning.

I'm playing at the rythm I set, I set up my characters the way I want because I only play solo, I'm not having constraints with meta and narrow group roles, and so on...

Eitherway, even if by miracle Blizzard implements season on console, I won't play it.

posted a message on Best class+build for T13 bounty split.

I facerolled T10, switch to T12 to test, way slower with my LoN DH. So now, I'm doing T11 solo bounties with my DH/Thornsader.

I might get killed if I do not take care of lava affix btw.

When I upgrade some more gear, I'll switch to T12. I do not think I'll do T13 atm (paragon 741).

posted a message on Difficulty Overview 2.4.2: HTML View

View 2 seems more compact and probably makes a better image base, but the original view still feels "better" to me.

    The same.

Even if I'm too used to the first one, the second view is better on a mobile device, more compact. The customization options are great.

Patched 2.4.2 yesterday (one of the few advantages to play on console) and no luck for those last transmogs.

But I found zounds of goblins and a goblin shrine too. Not a wasted evening btw

You'll get the best crafting plans from bounty chests. Crafting epics or some sets (like Cain's for levelling and loot death breath at 61+) will help you a lot but do not waste crafting materials on that.

You'll need a lot of them for Kanaï's cube recipes (like crafting rare item to upgrade them to epic).

Kanai's Cube is in the 2nd floor of the Ruins of Secheran (sorry for the spelling).

To start with barb before you get gear, try doing this: skill - (rune)

    Frenzy - (Maniac)

Hammer of the Ancients - (Smash)

    War Cry - (Impunity)

    Battle Rage - (Bloodshed)

Call of the Ancients - (The council Rises)

Wrath of the Berserker - (Insanity)

    Passives:

    Ruthless

    Rampage

    Superstition

    Boon of Bul-kathos

With this setup, you basically keep war cry and battle rage up at all times. Build rage with Frenzy maniac, trying to keep it at 5 stacks at all times, and then using Hammer of the Ancients when you are at full rage (I will not spoil why you do this ONLY at full rage, read the tooltip and I think you will figure it out). As for Call of the Ancients and Wrath of the Berserker, rotate those skills, using one every 30-45 seconds and pairing them with Boon of Bul-Kathos you will almost have at least one of them up at ALL TIMES. This should make farming Torment 1-4 a lot easier as you get gear, get a grasp of the game mechanics, and simply overall learn the Barbarian class (by far my favorite!!!).

How do you have wrath of the berserker and call of the ancients at the same time, they are on the the same skill button??

In the game options, you can activate "custom mode" which allow you to choose whatever skill you want where you want, even if they are on the same screen (like monks or barbarian using 2 primary skills to generate more spirit/rage).

Edit : Enjoy as console users can now play 2.4.2 :)

Hi sorry I have one more question,

Can any item drop from bountie / rift / grift ?

or certain items only drop in certain places?

Some items (like Ring of Royal Grandeur) only drops from bounty chests (Act 1 for this ring). I'll update this post later with the item list.

Each monster has a chance to drop an object, from grey to green. So just keep killing mobs by the thousands and you'll find items.

For the googlesheet, just have a look at the barbarian builds. You'll see that each build is centered around specific items (sets and epics), the googlesheet 'helps' you find out which class could be the most efficient to find this specific item. Set items can only drop for their specific classes (even if this is not really true on console where you can drop other classes set items).

Try playing on harder mode, expert for example. In normal mode, your chance to find a magic item are way to low. Of course, it'll be hard in the beginning, but with time, and stuff, it'll become easier.

And bounties are linked to the difficulty you're playing in, not the Act. This is true when you're level 70 at least. The same for the drop rates of items, gold, materials, experience gains... And powers and lifepoints of the monsters, of course.

If you do not try yourself against harder difficulties, it'll take a huge amount of time to stuff your barbarian.

    Hello Xone player,

As I understand, you're playing barbarian. If you're looking for a WW build, just have a look in the build section of this site, and filter by class and skill (Personnaly, it was my build on Diablo-the-first, but it's sooooo boring to play now). Like that :

    -->barbarian builds with whirlwind

Just do the bounties (always do where the bonus is, to get the bonus chest) to grab a lot of materials and some epics, the best is to do them on Torment difficulty (t3 for example, no less) use Kadala blood shards for armour pieces only. It's way too expensive for the other parts.

Also, go find the Kanaï's Cube, for recipes like "extract power from epic item", "upgrade rare to epic" and "reroll set items". After some time, when you have a lot of materials, you can try to reroll epic items and add primary stats by sacrifying an epic gem (if you want to push Greater rift higher).

And... Upgrade your stash to the max !! It's mandatory to have as much space as possible (350). Do not care to much about gold issues, one day you won't be able to spend it at all, as gold is of no real use.

Last one, be patient... It takes time to get gear, and look for the googlesheet on drop rates, to see that some item simply do not drop with some classes, so be prepared to play different classes.

Have fun, test different builds depending on the gear you have, do not be shy to play as many classes as you want. Personnaly, I have more than 10 lvl70 characters (3 DH, 1 Barb, 1 wiz, 2 WD, 2 monks, 2 Crusaders...) and some lvl1 to carry stuff as the stash is not sufficient after some time.

For the rifts, you can open them when you want, but you need to complete a normal rift to have a chance to get the key to open a greater rift. Rifts are a wonderfull way to climb levels when rerolling (check some guides on the internet, in less than 5 hours, you can have a second lvl70 character). Of course, the greater the difficulty is, the better are the items found (more materials with bounties, more GR keys by clearing normal rift, and so on)...

Seriously who gives a damn about ns? Never really understood why ns-players take pride in clearing higher GR

seriously who gives a damn about seasons? except blizzard ofc.
just try to clear 97+ with barb - build no matter, season/ns - you may choose, and then say smth about this record, as for now, don't make me laugh with your 70 gr for seasonal journey

You're kidding right? Clearing high GR on ns is no accomplishment. You've had over a year to farm the paragons and gear. Playing ns is just for braindead people who need extremely high paragon and augments to be able to clear something - no skill involved
The only difference between seasonal and ns is that seasonal players spend 8~16hrs/day to farm stuff & paragons to climb an utopic ladder. A ns player will spend much less time per day (like me, 2hrs/day) and take months to acheive anything. In the end, it's the same build, same stuff, nearly same paragon levels against same difficulty.
So, a GR95+ clear by a ns character is as much a feat as any seasonal clearing, depending on the time you want to spend in the game.

A lot of work, way too much colors and filling around each character for my taste and my skin.

The tatooist had really done a wondeful work keeping size and perspectives when going from shoulders to back. A real professional. Hail to him
