I wanted to know if on the diablo cd, (Original) "when it came out" If it had any diablo previews on the disc, or maybe a warcraft preview of 2 tides? I checked. There's an executable named BLIZDEMO.EXE on the cd which first shows a preview/trailer of the Warcraft Battlechest (Warcraft, Warcraft II, Warcraft 2 expansion), which shows the orcs prepping for battle, then storming into a throneroom (I think the king of Stormwind's? I remember from Arthas' book that the king of Stormwind was killed). It then shows a small abandoned battlefield with an orc still going berserk punching a dude/corpse in the face.
After that is a preview of Starcraft which shows a bunch of rednecks on a space station/satellite that get destroyed by a disintegration ray of what looked like a protos spaceship (kinda hard to make out). Seriously the way it started out I thought it was a trailer for Redneck Rampage (which, iirc, Blizzard had a hand in making).
Neither of which I can find on youtube.
I remember warcraft ship/air balloon, or ship cinematic, and diablo being only at version 1.00, or somethin, I remember when I frist played Diablo 1. I was 10ish, or 11yrs old, and was getting ready to kill lazarus, but the games was really hard I didnt have enough gold to buy hp pots, So I quite. Than in summer 2000 I was playing diablo 1 on my ps1, killed lazarus, but never finished the game But Still Love the game to this very day. BAD A$$ GAME it is
Apocalypse was just a crazy imbalanced ability. And most people couldn't even use it much unless they had a hacked staff or something.
Some of my favorite moments include any time I used the infravision spell to see shitloads of infrared monsters on the other side of the wall patiently waiting for me.

you had to be at least like lvl 32 to get it though and just keep visiting adria like 500 billion times xD
but i found it countless times =3
it wasnt all that imbalanced either
it took a kinda long time to charge it to use and didnt do a whole lot of damage but it stunned and damaged every enemy on screen and did physical damage xD
but considering on hell diff apoc doesnt do a whole lot of damage and the enemies can kill you nearly instantly its not that imbalanced
it was just one of the only possible spells to do runs with in diablo 1 xD
the arch angel's staff of apoc was a warrior staff with 255 charges
and that is the only one i have ever seen for that amount of charges
so if there are any others its probaly hacked lol
it also added plus 2 to all skills =3
the only things id actually say are hacked would be diablo's set from diablo 1 which was so damn hard to get you had to hack cuz noone has such patience to grind till you get it xD
only the ppl who were legit lvl 50 probaly have that patience xD

Was curious on how to get, Arch Angel's Staff of Apocalypse, or even Bountiful version? Does Adria, sell it at what level you are, or in a certain difficulty level, or is it just random! Does it also matter if you are Single, or multiplayer game?
I'm still playing my original (bought maybe a month or two after the game first came out) Diablo 1 cd and I can run it just fine in Vista. Is Windows 7 compatibility really that much worse?
Hey Ivaron, No windows 7 compatibility is not such a bad thing, as compatibility properties is on any microsoft os that is for games and some apps! I've got a copy that won't run with Windows 7 that I would be happy to part with if anyone wants it.
Nektu, if you have a copy that came with the battle chest, it will run on seven if your copy is older! It wont but, for info on how to make diablo run with out color problems, read my post in diablo/hellfire Windows 7 and Diablo 1 (merged threads)
EDIT: Nektu how old is old, I mean is your copy of diablo, from when it first came out if it is do you still have the old box and everything?
I checked all the compatibility marks, in the properties. I am on Windows 7. How do i fix the messed up rainbow colors?
Packman, and for others having this issue on windows 7, It is not his drivers nor compatibilty problems, try this only
#1 on Diablo exe file right click and go to compatibilty, and choose to run in windows xp sp2 than check these
-Disable visual themes
-Disable Desktop composition
-Disable Display scaling on high dpi Settings
and last run as admin click apply and ok
now the inportant part
before lauching the game, right click on the desktop and click resolution "change" "Dont change anthing (minimize it only) and than change background to solid "color black" only

Get a psp at gamestop and add cfw, or buy a copy of diablo 1 psx on ebay
ps; or get a emulator epsxe and so on.
