After ten years later, that is in the year of 1987, charged with updating a classic Nike design, Air Max 1 was produced by the Nike Sportswear Footwear Design Team to show their technological innovations through the well-designed performance and aesthetic of the original style, which resulted in the revolution of the industry itself.Though it has been 30 years ago from now, Nike did not stop to pursue its goals, nor did Air’s design visionary. As the design team put more efforts on its product’s properties, such as lightweight stability and cushioning in order to make sure its competitive stage in the industry area. And the result is a staggering 66% weight reduction from the original, with the Air Maxim coming in at a mere 10.1 ounces.
