posted a message on Is Pestilence corpse explosion viable as a build?

Could work, but I think you are missing out on too much damage with your equipped weapon and cubed weapon; you have a bunch of poison skills, so why not Nayr's Black Death? And the Pestilence set buffs Bone Spear, which you have as a skill, so I'd go for the Maltorius scythe that buffs it even more - it will do more for you than the Thunderfury and Ashbringer you have.

If you do try the Nayr's, maybe go for a poison rune on a primary skill, and the poison rune for Bone Armour to buff it even more, though I appreciate you are getting lots of heath globe healing with the current set up.

    Good hunting!

C'mon, really? PVP? Can you imagine the QQing? "you only won because Blizz can't balance my class properly!"

PVP in this game, even with the changes you suggest, would just be a meta build button mash fest. No thanks, much rather the devs spent their time making the PvE experience better

s10 meta will be 3 x lightning wiz and one support. Even with the MH nerf, wiz's are so far ahead of other classes for DPS that using anything else makes no sense.

posted a message on POLL: How rare should Primal Ancients be!?

1%. At present, Ledgendaries have a 10% chance to be Ancient, and Ancients should have a 10% chance to be primal.

Primals should be fully-rerollable, every stat on it should be customisable, otherwise what's the point of them? We already get enough worthless Ancients that are instantly turned into souls because they don't have the right rolls, it would be super disappointing to get Primal with +% to gold from monsters and 31 reduced level requirement as its secondaries and not be able to do anything about it.

posted a message on Is endless walk set better than bastion of will this season for DHs ?

In my experience they are pretty close together, but having been previously pretty much full time Focus and Restraint, I find myself leaning more and more to the Endless Walk / Compass Rose / Convention of the Elements combo. It loses the extra passive from the HFA, but to me it seems the extra damage output from the COE cycle and the 'while moving' damage reduction just give it an edge all the same; my clearance times on the same rift levels are just slightly faster with EW/CR, and my sheet stats are pretty close with either set on. Your mileage my vary!

posted a message on Stash tab for non-seasonal players

Even without earning extra stash tabs through seasons, how do you run out of stash space with the cube in the game? I'm worst case scenario for needing stash space; play all 6 classes, have all 24 sets (almost all ancient pieces), virtually all supporting legendaries, a ton of crafting materials, deaths breaths (only 1 stack of FS though...), two of most legendary gems in stash to level up and use for augementing, bounty materials, triple stacks of each normal gems (marquis/imperial/Flawless Royal of each) and still have plenty of room in my chest and my mules and no problems rebirthing a character to start each season.

There are so many items in this game that, even if they roll ancient AND perfect, are only worth cubing. There are so many items in this game that even if they roll ancient AND perfect are utterly worthless - instant salvage for an FS. With very few exceptions, changes to legendary items do not apply retrospectively; that perfect ancient Nutcracker/Messerschmidts Reaver/Wildwood in your stash will STILL be crap, even if Blizz update it with a great new legendary power/affix.

If you are NS, and insist on hoarding absolutely everything, how is possible that the extra stash tab available by playing season isn't enough incentive for you to do it? Think of all the extra stuff you could hoard! And all you have to do to get it is to play the game! If you want extra stash space, its right there for you, easily in your grasp. But if being 'efficient' on your main NS character(s)100% of the time is more important, then don't whine when your stash gets full.

we have to be an unpleasant community..

We are an unpleasant community! The most toxic and hostile in all of gaming. Why would anyone want to remain part of the D3 team, or join to be part of the 'unannounced project' when they can see first hand the endless torrent of insults the game devs get from this community. Jay Wilson is STILL copping abuse from a hard core group that just cannot let go of what he 'did' to 'their' beloved franchise.

posted a message on Stash tab for non-seasonal players

Getting the stash tab is a piece of cake, even for 100% solo uber-casuals. You have 3 months, and if it takes even half as long as that then you're really not trying. As soon as you have the 6pc set gift you're jumping straight into T7-8, and progress in terms of paragon and gear is just absurdly fast after that. Set dungeon? Get one (or more) players to help you and they are super easy, and if you want to grind them solo then there are plenty of how-to guides out there.

Why would you want to stay and grind on your NS main, same build, same gear over and over, when you can try a different class and/or build, spend almost all of the time doing what you would do in NS anyway - GR's/rifts/bounties - and get an extra stash tab out of it? What would you miss out on by giving up on your NS character for a few weeks? Some efficiency? A few extra paragon levels? Those are worth more to you than a stash tab? SMH!

I find seasons a blast, look forward to the fresh start, trying something different (Monk this season, loving the RoaTS set), and usually push on after the stash tab requirement. And then, yeah, go back to NS for a while, enjoy that - and that minty fresh empty stash tab - for a few weeks till the new season starts.

And without seasons, I probably wouldn't be playing the game much, if at all. Same goes for most of the players I know, more than 50% of whom are only ever on-line in the first half of any new season. Grinding away on NS just gets monotonous, and without the change and variety of trying something different each season I'd have gotten bored ages ago.

posted a message on ROE Changed - boosts Haunt & Locust Swarm only?

Sorta just confirmed by Nevalistis in the hotfix notes; 300% boost only applies to damage dealt by your WD, NOT your pets:

    Items

    • The damage bonus from Ring of Emptiness now only applies to damage dealt directly by the Witch Doctor, and not pets or followers (8/4)
      • For more information on this change, see this post.

    You're welcome

Looking at official patch notes, looks like they changed it from the PTR version - no boost for gargs no more! That will change more than a few Season 7 plans!

posted a message on So we must play seasons to gain more Stash space?

What's 'awful' about playing a seasonal character? Especially with a stash tab as an incentive?

There's nothing 'awful' about it - the majority of players do it every season and enjoy it. The 'problem' is that when you start over and play at lower levels with less optimised gear you're not being as efficient as you are with your NS characters. Efficiency. That's the issue. Some NS players feel that playing for a few weeks at less efficient levels to get a stash tab isn't worth it. Grinding experience and paragon levels at max rates is more important to them than getting a stash tab, which is fine, a perfectly valid, rational, cost -benefit analysis from their standpoint.

But seriously? Missing a few weeks of the endless grind would be a bad thing? Especially with an extra stash tab at the end of it? Just think of how much more 'efficient' your inventory/mule management will be!

If it's not efficiency that's holding you back from trying seasonal, then what is it? And please, not "I hate it" or "I can't" - its the same freaking game, getting levelled to 70 takes no time at all, and getting good gear takes only fractionally longer. So why? With the rebirth you don't even have to give up an NS charcter, and you're getting a stash tab to store their gear in as well.

If you value grinding more than a stash tab, that's your trade-off - but don't expect to get the stash tabs AND your optimal experience earning rates -seasonal players don't get both, why should you? And quit whining about the choice you have made!
