posted a message on Cant load Diablo 3 now?

I had to reinstall the Battle Net desktop app to get the game to load the day after that mini-patch...
I don't know if that will help you but maybe try it (fairly quick and painless) before you go down the long and winding tech support road. Good luck.

    great suggestion here!

I would add that when you have the chance to add damage in the form of a socket on your weapon, that you use a topaz gem. it provides a fixed amount of thorns damage. that will far outweigh any benefit from a ruby (str). 220 str or whatever the amount is laughable on a follower. CDR and AS being the only real benefits.

The benefit from socketing a flawless royal ruby in a weapon is +270 (base) damage increase (not Str). If you are curious try them both out for yourself and notice the average normal and critical hits from your follower (also you might be surprised how high your follower crits are).
Would def agree that the goal is to get the most skill procs and not max out damage at the expense of those procs. Good hunting.

No use trying to add any damage to your follower

Yeah I agree with what you are saying, but I'll use a gift on a follower wep and put a gem in it (why wouldn't you?) to max out their damage. Getting to 150 CHD (50 baseline+100 added) on a follower is usually just a matter of gearing an amulet that has some CHD on it- it shouldn't mean you can't have all the other stats you want.
So my point (at the end, in parenthesis) was a gentle reminder about what was missing from the video (e.g. what to roll on the items, what gem to use in that empty weapon socket, etc.). Not mentioning Attack Speed was an oversight wrapped up in an afterthought...inside Edward Nygma..

I use the same Templar setup as OP for melee toons.

Playing a ranged character pretty much rules out using the Templar, but the Scoundrel and Enchantress are both good.
I'm using Scoundrel with Skeleton Key (invulnerability follower token), Windforce (50% chance to knockback on hit) with lightning damage rolled, Oculus, Wyrdward, and Overwhelming Desire charm ammy. Skills are slow, blind, stun, and extra crit chance. The triple shot (multishot skill) is also good but I go for the 100% stun chance to a group of monsters. Multishot skill is probably better in terms of keeping fast/flying elites knocked back. I've used that setup for a few seasons now and like it a lot.
Overwhelming Desire just adds another chance to have the monsters busy doing things other than attacking you... and the charmed monsters take 35% more damage. I still haven't found what I would say is a BIS follower amulet.
(I tend to use a ruby in the follower wep just to add more damage. Use an ammy with decent crit hit dmg (follower limited to 150% CHD and they already have 50%) and stack (Edit: ATTACK SPEED) ;) crit chance/cdr/follower main stat on everything else.)

posted a message on Billions of toughness with Goldwrap + Boon of the Hoarder

Okay, well in the interest of helping out the new folks... here are some (but not all) of the gold related items we are talking about:
Goldwrap belt: On gold pickup: Gain armor for 5 seconds equal to the amount picked up.

Boon of the Hoarder gem: (at max rank 50) 100.0% chance on killing an enemy to cause an explosion of gold. Gain 30% increased movement speed for 2 seconds after picking up gold.

Avarice ring: Each time you pick up gold, increase your Gold and Health Pickup [and progression globes] radius by 1 yard for 10 seconds, stacking up to 30 times. (or could use Thing of the Deep mojo geared/cubed for WD)

Goldskin chest: Always rolls 100% GF (Gold Find)

Kymbo's Gold amulet: Picking up gold heals you for an amount equal to the gold that was picked up for gold=healing.
Emerald (green) gem in helm to increase gold find (flawless royal emerald +41% GF).

Leoric's Helm: Increase the effect of any gem socketed into this item by 75–100% (maxed at 100% in cube)

Max out GF in Paragon Points (utility).

Also... getting insane amounts of gold can mean getting a decent experience boost with..

Custerian Wristguards bracers: Picking up gold grants experience.

These are the main items you should know about, but there are lots of other legendary items that drop or can be crafted to increase gold find and/or increase pickup radius (e.g. you can craft Corruption shoulders to increase your pickup radius even if you can't work an Avarice ring into your build). Search for more discussions and youtube videos if you need more help. Lots of info out there..

As a side note, for the Avarice conquest: green gem in helm, rank 50 boon of hoarder, GF maxed in paragon points, T8-10ish, Ruins of Corvus Act 5.

    A few quick items:
Cloak of Garwulf, Obsidian ring of the Zodiac missing from cube items.

Cooldown reduction (CDR) showing as "skill: cooldown reduction" (not a skill).

    Thanks

idk about you, but I can do GR60 without any support items and yellows fairly easily with HT WD, so not sure why WD is considered a slow start in your mind.

Care to elaborate? Maybe I can help with something :)
You are "preaching to the choir" here, but let's just say for me personally the UE DH wins out this time to get my stash tab ASAP.
My point as far as the discussion goes is just that folks might want to consider the free set to determine which class to level along with the absolute fastest class they can level up to 70. For many people the clear winner will be HT WD... for me it's UE DH.
    Haedrig’s Gift season 7:
    Barbarian: Wrath of the Wastes
    Crusader: Roland’s Legacy
    Demon Hunter: Unhallowed Essence
Monk: Raiment of a Thousand Storms
    Witch Doctor: Helltooth Harness
    Wizard: Tal Rasha’s Elements

Using the Haedrig's gifts bonus set as guidance... the UE DH is T10 viable as soon as you have the set and T13-ish viable with the rest of the gear (maybe not efficient at those levels yet but you get my point). I'll start out with DH for that reason and use that toon as support to build a WD main.
Leveling a WD for the Helltooth or a Wiz for Tals would mean a slow seasons 7 start for me... and yeah leveling solo is the worst option.

Grab my unicorn and stash space (Guardian co-caine portrait frame? No thanks) and then go push into the nonseason leaderboards or maybe go play Power Over Ethernet or maybe Legions. Hmmmmm..

You can run split bounties for that objective as long as everyone turns them in together (everyone in the city where the bounty is being turned in).

Edit: Looks like they may have changed this again. IDK.
On topic: I'm pretty sure the chest and helm is the last gift you get (ch 4) but not sure about the first two.

The crown dropped for me at level 7 and with a socket. I don't know if it is a guaranteed drop at those low levels or not.

(Just screwing around with the editing options. I still don't have anything useful to add. :P )

posted a message on Need some help on ancient Yang's roll.

OP: Assuming you are running the UE set, your end game bow is going to have max discipline (No one will ever question rolling your discipline to max but many will question your bow if you don't have it at max).
Any other roll would be very close to the same amount of damage output (as the poster above pointed out)... and changes to the UE set in future patches will most likely buff your damage even more with those additional 2 points. Good luck.

posted a message on Leoric's Passage goblin spawn rate nerfed?

Yeah I didn't want to recommend bounties because they would naturally run them in a party, which would set them up for failure as other party members run around like jolly green giants one-shotting all the pet gobs. Lol.
I went with my not-so-secret pennant agenda instead. :P
