Part of me hopes they don't make an Auction House feature, one of the reasons I love D2 so much is because you have to deal with the person your selling to in person. I find when people put things on an AH they overcharge, but in person they'll sell for less. There's also more bargaining involved so it keeps the community socially active.

But back on the original topic I hope they leave it with just gold, no bronze/silver. I don't mind if stuff costs me 12,000 gold, it's an awesome number. Just change it so you don't lose 100k+ when you die >.>

Dont get upset that i told the same what you did, i just agreed with you.

And i did read what you said.

Bwaha not you lol! I'm using your quote since you said pretty much what I said and further proves my point that there isn't much difference in armor in D2.

Ah great so why you arguing about ?

I just explain why it's impossible to having only few kind of looks...

Which is a good thing, if you read what I was saying yesterday I was asking if anybody knew if each piece of armor will be displayed properly, unlike in Diablo 2.

I never said D3 will have only 3 (6) differents kind of looks. The contrary, D3 will have each pieces uniques.

We came to that conclusion yesterday, thanks. I understand exactly what you said. Look at what Jeru5 said:

Ugh... i really hated how in D2 your looks changes only when you equip body armor, helmet and weapons/shields.

THAT is what I was saying before. My entire point was, "In Diablo 3, shit is 3D so will equipping new gear change our appearance." We're both saying the same thing pretty much, learn to fucking read.

Shoulders is a good thing and noticable aswell. I hope pants will be seen too. The only thing what i really wanted D3 to have is capes...

Idk about other games, but there is a game called Ultima Online (UO) wich have the capes, they don't give anything, neither def or anything, it's just for the looks and it looks cool.

..I like that idea, capes with no stats! Completely optional for those who hate cloaks and stuff. We all know you cloak haters are out there, lurking.

I'm pretty sure they will make a trading room without entering a game, directly in battle.net. They will make a useful ergonomic system.
I doubt a big company like Blizzard will decrease their system quality.

Yeh I assume they will, I just wonder what form it'll take.

It's just impossible, when you do a 3D model with texture you'll be stupid if you don't reuse it. 2D items on the ground can't be the same drawing of when you wear it.
3D items on the ground can be the same drawing of when you wear it.

I still don't think you get it. I do not care that there are only three (read: six) "outfits" in Diablo 2. I DO care if there will only be three (read: six) outfits in Diablo 3. If an item in D3 looks similar to another item, sure, same skin. But if you go from one type of armor to another and they keep them looking the same to save time designing, IMO that's not cool. Not cool at all. Do I make sense yet?

BoE = epic failure. The games still going to get overloaded with gear, its just going to make experimenting with different builds/gear set ups far more aggravating and time consuming. Not to mention, its just going to flat out decrease the volume of trading, and any design that causes people to interact less in an online game is bad imo.

D2 = tons of trading. People make games just to go and trade. What I want to know is will D3 have .. ladder specific trade hubs, if that makes sense. Kinda like Guild Wars, in a city you see other players, but when out of a city you're by yourself unless grouped. Same with (shudder, don't impale me) Hellgate: London - in a station you could see all other players. I can't see it being a bad idea... unless they don't find a way to get rid of the spammers.

posted a message on you think they will work more on blood design?
    Quote from "Hans" »
Maybe if the killing blow was made with a critical strike it would show the most blood or gore.

Man that made me think of a Barb critting something with a nice 2h maul, blood EVERYWHERE, muscle and bone churned into wallpaper. In the gameplay videos the blood seems good, but maybe a little less would be perfect. The new Monk screenshots seemed a little over the top though.

I assure you they have more than 3 kind of "looks" !!! replay it man. http://i33.tinypic.com/14uxun8.jpg

Still, that's only 6 different appearances in a game with hundreds of items. Do you honestly not understand what I'm trying to say? I used the number "3" loosely, I could have googled it and said 6, but I'm too lazy - but three or six, if they copied that into D3, I'd be pretty mad and I'm sure others would be too. With the tech and the games people are churning out these days, 6 different appearances for hundreds, thousands of items, would be inexcusable. Ten years ago? Sure, why not.

And as for "replay it man" look to your left, you can get me in game with that info.

    D2 doesn't have only 3 differentes appearence you're mistaken with Diablo 1.

I assure you I'm not thinking of Diablo 1. What I mean is, there are three armor "looks" in D2. No armor. Light armor. Plate. There are different colors based on set/item/gems, whatever. There are different helmets, yeah - skull, mask, Barb helmets, Druid helmets, they all look different, but for your torso everything looks the same.

That's all I can ask for :D as long as I'm not stuck with only three different looks (not counting different headpieces) I'll be happy. Everything in D2 always, always looks the same, no matter what.

So I poked around a little and didn't really see an answer, so what I'd like to know is if each piece of armor will be rendered on your character, unlike in Diablo 2 where your armor gave you one of three appearances, sometimes a different color. If I change from one pair of shoulders to another, I want to see the difference.
