posted a message on Rolling New Char - Walking Act 1 - 5 > Screw Powerleveling
Hah! Nice. Yeah I don't power level at all.

#1. I master the feel of that specific class better walking through it.
#2. I make much more gold selling decent low level gear and salvaging for materials faster
#3. I have better mechanics which ultimately separates hardcore from softcore.

My level 33 DH is about to take on Diablo with 4.5k HP and 1.2K damage. I want to finish gearing up a few spots just to be sure, and take him on from there. GL Rolling that Wizzy

posted a message on SELLING A2 INFERNO GOBLIN WAYPOINTS
Everyone know's where those 2 waypoints are.. If you don't its:

Ancient Path waypoint, can get dangerous with suicide mobs and elites at time to time, but if you take your time and clear it, the gobbi that spawns on the staircase is an easy loot grab. Also if it gets way too dangerous its easy to click on the waypoint, and put your mouse cursor underneath a specific rock, so when your waypoint options open up your cursor is already over "Hidden Camp" and you can click right away to avoid getting killed. Thats what I do and it works well.

The other, more popular is Road to Alcarnus. Now this one is reported to be a bit more safe and easier to corner gobbi's. But I am not a fan of wide openings so I tend to avoid this area.

If these were not the 2 spots you were talking about sorry, but they a gobbi is a gobbi. Gl HF

posted a message on What's your dmg on wd?
Some of this damage you guys are posting is insane, but for me Id rather see a well rounded build. Great res, high vitality pool, melee/ missile reduction and of course your decent damage. I dont have a high dps build but I do have res all at least 70% which I have noticed the benefits start dwindling the more you stack, and somewhere around 40k hp. My dps as far as I can remember, servers are still down, is about 30k with no buffs. Using a 800 1h and some mojo.

posted a message on Inferno nerf incoming
    Quote from maciok

So as Blizz stated today in their patch preview inferno is going to be nerfed.

    According to Blizzard :
Inferno balance right now has a difficulty gap in which Act I feels about right, but Act II feels like trying to bust through a brick wall.

Soeey for my language but... ARE YOU ********* KIDDING ME ?

Act 1 feels right ? Come on lets be serious, maybe it feels right on your first run after hell when you still wear items from lvl 45. After 1-2 days of farming butcher/warden you just steamroll through this act with each class. It feels easier than Hell with nightmare items...

Act 2 is a brick wall ? Yeah maybe for guys who didnt farm Act 1 at all. All you need to do is farm items for a while, sell semi-decent items you wont use and get some upgrades.

Dude Hell items level 45 in Act1 Inferno? Lets get serious. If anybody did that they would get steam rolled. I am NOT the player that says "Oh shit a elite mob run away from them and we'll just do the quest and progress through Inferno." That's being a vagina. I take on everything and I am telling you, Hell gear taking on those elites is not possible.
Secondly, Act 2 is a brick wall. I have been farming Warden/Butcher runs in A1, goblins in A2, and SB runs in A3. FOR WEEKS! It has not helped my class in the slightest. If anything I find "decent" items I sell for a few thousand gold, which is what everyone else wants to do so its not easy, so I can just buy 1 item selling for millions and millions in the AH. How is that fun? Yes fun. Its probably the ultimate reason Blizzard makes games and wants to accomplish this eventually. I am all about challenges and absolutely love Inferno. But A2 is just retarded. With 4 players you can just forget about it. It needs this patch 100%

A2 is a brick wall if you can't even do the first quest because a white bug is dropping you faster than the butcher in A1.

Hardcore is hardcore. D2 has the same concept. Harder to get items in that game in my opinion because there was no AH or use for gold for that matter. You had to find your gear or have some pretty good valuables to trade for it. If you died, you lost your stash too. Also mobs had things like Iron Maiden or Immune to Physical. So far these mobs are all killable there are just some that are harder than others. Yes, I know a thing or two about HC. I've been doing it

Well I kinda agree there needs to be a better way to trade then the dead trade chat. But a mailbox sounds too greedy. So you can trade and farm with 5 stacks? If you want to trade, trade, if you want to farm, farm. I think a mailbox idea is good for the example of, I find a good monk weapon and my brother plays a monk, i can just send it to him instead of stashing it and letting it take up my precious stash space. Like the Steam Gift thing. I could put more thought into this but this is it for me

Cool. That doesn't make it any harder though. If you come across something you don't like, you leave and skip it.

But he's not leaving or skipping it. He's playing as the game was created to play and he's doing it legit. I think this proves it can be done and it really is for the hardcore fans. You wanted a hard difficulty, here it is!

Well then he is a total baller. I hate it when I read builds and people literally put, "So if you come across vortex mobs, skip those, same as teleport, invulnerable minions, and mortar." Its like.. what?

    i disagree with Nokturnal1 quite a bit.

not dying once all the way to and through inferno -- same as softcore?

.......he can just buy good items from the AH like the rest of us softcore players? Also, the HC AH is identical to the SC AH.

    yeah.....

What? Your post doesn't really make sense.. I stood back and tried to compensate what you were saying but all I could gather was you disagree with what I said. Which is fine. Hardcore is hard because if you die you have to start over. But If you pay attention, play carefully, you survive just fine. That doesn't make it "harder" it just means you are willing to go the distance to survive. Having a 10% durability loss as the only penalty in softcore means, AHH Lets just run around and spam and kill shit and see what happens.
Same enemies, same difficulty, different attitude.

I stood back and tried to "compensate" what you were saying too. Similar result.

He's playing act 1 inferno on hardcore, people. Do you know how hard it is to not die to anything, ever? Do you "compensate" how difficult it is to farm and gear up for inferno without dying?

I used to read these forums because they were at least slightly more palatable than the blizz forums. Good job proving me wrong, folks.

    p.s. the word is comprehend.

Wow. LOL! p.s. You sir, are angry. Sorry I am not palatable enough for you
BTW, I have more legendary shit on my hardcore druid, level 92 then you ever had in D2. No doubt.
Thanks for your insightful knowledge of how hard it is not to die to anything, ever!

    Quote from Nokturnal1

No you're just an idiot. 1% unlocked inferno, that means the following:
    1. You unlock inferno when you hit 60 so.. not a lot of lvl 60s out there
    2. Until inferno difficulty you can pretty much use any skill you want and you're fine.
    3. If you don't have all the skills unlocked your choices are limited

Just like numbing dart is the most used rune for poison darts. That just tells me there is a lot of level 13 witch doctors out there who are still picking up white items and getting a feel for the game. I don't know about you but when I had the beta as soon as I unlocked a skill, I used it.
    Stop being a troll

in order to unlock inferno u need to hit 60 & bit diablo on hell which in my case wasnt same thing / i hit 60 in act 3 hell .. somewhere in the middle

also they said 1.9 % of characters .. so we have no idea how many ppl actually unlocked inferno

speaking slowly & in capital letters so ppl will get it : I HAVE 4 CHARS THAT UNLOCKED INFERNO WHICH MAKES ME A BIGGER PART OF 1.9% THEN PPL WHO DID IT WITH ONLY 1 CHAR

u can use pretty much every skill u want when u hit 60 / unlock inferno & ur fine .. so its not fine when ur 60 & in inferno ? u only looses stacks when u change skill in between farming / what about trying out skills on inferno ur suggesting i cant do that

and ur last point is just a simple fact so i dont rly get it beeing ur point in the argument - in words of
    Dr. Watson "No shit Scherlock"

Umm.. What? Your whole rant on being level 60 bit diablo? u hit ur & ? u looses... just gives me a headache.
If you want to bring "Scherlock" in this conversation make sure you know how to spell his name first.
2nd. Yes I was wrong on some of my points but it still stands. People are trying to get a feel for the game and figure out other aspects, myself included. Poison dart like every other WD? No I think i'll try something else. Nothing wrong with that, furthermore that doesn't make people stupid based off a statistic the blue's posted with obvious uncertainties on how concrete those statistics even are.
