Sure! I think you never played necro in D2 in random party, when you have to go inside all the mess during fight to be able to loot anything faster than melee classes.
D2 loot system is more ninja style... You play barb and you have nice ping = 85% of all rares/uniques is yours.
In D3 thought if you play WD or Wizard you can easily loot after combat is over.

As for me, I think Fury(don't really care about it's name) system is much more better than a mana system. As well as mana system was working together with mana leech system.
As i see now the player has to think before using this or that skill. Sometimes cleave, sometimes leap, ww... etc...
In d2 it was only 1 skill spam for barb... ww (before 1.10 version) or bers or whatever.
