Blizzard is not slow at developing games, they just want to make the most possible money by releasing them at different times.

Guaranteed the main reason Diablo 3 will not be released this year is because of World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Blizzard knows or thinks that if they released Diablo 3 before that, people will quit wow (and their monthy payment) and play Diablo 3 instead. So what Blizzard has most likely done, is given the Diablo 3 team a large amount of time to develop the game and set a release date for some time after Cataclysm comes out because they think less people will leave WoW after this Xpac comes out. Do i like it? no Do i think blizzard cares more about money then their fans? of course.

I have 2 words for you, just 2 words:

    Starcraft 2

Cultural inconsistencies never cease to puzzle me.

Men: To be hairier is always manlier, except when it grows from your scalp, where it must be kept as short as possible. Extra points for a bald scalp, especially if you're black. If it passes your eartips, you're a fag or a hippie.

    Really, now?

^^^ Manliest man in the world

    How about this one:

How do you explain men in porn videos always shave their legs and pubic hair?

I think people that truly believe body hair is a sign of masculinity is a hypocrite.

The monk's beard and bald hair are just fine the way it is. I love the design.

I would like it better if she had her hair longer and braided or something

    That wouldn't be a monk.

A female monk has enough religious, spiritual and demon-killing matters on her hands than have a care to braid her hair.

Ill be anxious to see if the skills for the Female monk resemble that of the Assassin in D2 LOD.

You do realize that a female monk would have the identical skills as a male monk right.

Bruce Lee will get crushed by the modern MMA fighter.. He has no chance what so ever.

    You need to wake up.

    From Wikipedia:

Lee's phenomenal fitness meant he was capable of performing many exceptional physical feats.[25][26][27][28] "A man able to perform super human feats that have yet to be equaled."[29] The following list includes some of the physical feats that are attributed to Bruce Lee.

    • Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.[30]
    • Lee could take in one arm a 75 lb barbell from a standing position with the barbell held flush against his chest and slowly stick his arms out locking them, holding the barbell there for 20 seconds.[12]
    • Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film for clear slow motion replay using the traditional 24 frames per second of that era, so many scenes were shot in 32 frames per second for better clarity.[31][32][33]
    • In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.[34]
    • Lee could bench press 260 lbs for 3 sets of 10 reps in his routine workout[15].
    • Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.[27]
    • Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.[35]
    • Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened cans of Coca-Cola. (This was when soft drinks cans were made of steel much thicker than today's aluminum cans).[33]
    • Lee performed one-hand push-ups using only the thumb and index finger.[28][35][36]
    • Lee performed 50 reps of one-arm chin-ups.[37]
    • Lee could break wooden boards 6 inches (15 cm) thick.[38]
    • Lee could cause a 200-lb (90.72 kg) bag to fly towards and thump the ceiling with a sidekick.[28]
    • Lee performed a sidekick while training with James Coburn and broke a 150 lb (68 kg) punching bag.[27][39]
    • In a move that has been dubbed "Dragon Flag", Lee could perform leg lifts with only his shoulder blades resting on the edge of a bench and suspend his legs and torso horizontal midair.[40]

Bruce Lee isn't a legend in martial arts for nothing. Keep in mind that he was the one who invented the concept of MMA, he is officially regarded as the Father of modern MMA.

    NEWSFLASH:

The only reason why Chinese or Asian martial artists aren't dominating in UFC is because Regulation 15 of UFC forbids any pressure point strikes, which effectively makes UFC a contest purely of physical size and strength.

This is why Brock Lesnar, a former WWF wrestler, won the recent UFC championship despite it was his first entry.

UFC isn't real fighting, it's a spectacle sport. It's more realistic than WWF (considering that WWF are all staged), but it isn't much better.

Think of Bruce Lee. He wasn't the biggest guy or the strongest, but he could break your ribs with a twitch of his arm and take on several people at once.

You are right, but BL was still pretty buff.

For one, no, monks do not all shave their facial hairs, many sport beards.
    Especially the elders.

However there is one thing I do believe, is that the 3D rendition on the
character page of the male monk is way too skinny. He looks like he's getting atrophy in his shoulders and biceps.

From experience I've seen many Shaolin monks here in China, and they have much bulkier arms from weapon training.

 Give the poor bastard a chance, he looks like he's going to turn into
a necro if he gets any skinnier.

    You are right.

The monk's arms are skinny as hell in the 3D rendering. Even mine are thicker, no joke.

I say just shut up, and be happy enough that they share and heck, LISTEN to their community as well during the development. Time restraint is a fucking joke and FANS shouldn't have any say on it either. Be patient.

Anyway, -whatever-. I don't care. You should consider not caring about any anouncements related to games and just care when they come out. So called "fans" or any players like you that ever come here whining because they don't release fast enough don't deserve to get any information before the games are released.

You are an idiot, I would have said the "r" word if it isn't banned on the forums.

We don't owe Blizzard anything for listening to our feedback or for any information they have released.

It's in their best interests to engage in these PR and marketing activities with their potential customers.

Not responding to constructive feedback and keeping a tight lid on everything doesn't help sell the product.

    Are you kidding me?

I'd like you to meet Valve.

Its because retarded companies like EA decide to "hurry up" that gaming is becoming a joke as a whole.

I'm pretty damn glad that Blizzard is also taking their time to make good games instead of some EA shit we see all over.

I LOVE how ignorant idiots like you always seem to pick on EA when attempting to provide an example of a "bad" video game developer and publisher.

EA isn't actually doing that bad recently, for your information.

Sims 3 was widely acclaimed and became best sellers on the PC.

Red Alert 3 had decent reviews.

Rock Band series was much loved (although not my type of game).

The Burnout series was a big hit amongst both gamers and critics.

The Fight Night series is one of the better fight sports games out there.

Mirror's Edge was decent, not great, but at least it was innovative (rare for EA).

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is coming out and it seems like it will be pretty successful.

Oh, and didn't you know that Bioware actually belongs to EA? So technically speaking, EA has to take credit for the success of Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2.

I'm not a supporter of EA, EA has its many faults and flaws, but if your argument is that EA always makes crap games, then I think I just blew you out of the water.

I don't think people will care how long it takes as long as the game turns out great. You mentioned Bioware and I think they are a good example to prove this point. Dragon Age was first announced in 2004 and it just recently came out. Yet I have heard very few people complain about it because its a great game (I assume. My computer won't run it and I don't want it on console. But I've heard its good.)

That's because Dragon Age is a new IP and almost no one had much expectations of it.

D3, in contrast, is the third game of an internationally well-known and successful franchise, and was in development since 2001. While it's true that much of their work from the early 2000s was scraped and completely reworked, but this is exactly what happens when the development goes for too long: The physics and graphics engine becomes outdated with the current times and they must be replaced with new ones.

I'm not frustrated with it so much as I am simply fascinated. They clearly know what they are doing. They always produce a game of the year. Their quality in games is so awesome. They really put work into those games. I don't mind waiting one bit. Go Blizz! <3

No one here is denying their talents and the results of their works.

But damn, it's due time that Blizzard realizes that merely delivering quality products just isn't enough, it's also about delivering them to customers ON TIME.

Blizzard isn't the only developer in the world that makes great games.

    Naughty Dog made Uncharted 2.
    Konami made MGS4.
Infinity Ward made COD4 (MW2 was a terrible game in comparison).
    Bioware made Mass Effect 2.

All these are arguably masterpieces in modern age of gaming, and yet they were also released within the expected time allocation of their fans.

It's time Blizzard learn a thing or two from these exceptional developers.

Making an excellent game isn't actually difficult if you have a talented team, a fat budget and unlimited amount of time: precisely what Blizzard is giving itself right now (take SC2 for example, delayed year after year, and now it doesn't even have a release date anymore).

But what really makes a developer spectacular, is making an excellent game with a talented team, a fat budget but with the immense pressure of a time restraint.

When time pressure comes into play, everything changes: But this is precisely what sets the TOP developers apart from the mere good ones.

Top developers get the job done even when facing a tight deadline.

Oh, Bliz, guess which group you belong to?

It's been 6 months since Bliz last announced its male Monk class.

Just recently (and finally, I may add), the female version of the Monk was released. Fifth class is yet to be announced (I doubt they have even decided on exactly what it should be), they will rework the female Barbarian design, last I read they have only completed Act 1's and the beginning of Act 2's contents, about 3 more acts to go. There's still no word on PvP contents or Clan support features (I doubt they have even started making those yet).

**** me, but assuming that Blizz continues it current pace of development, I will be surprised if I can see a full retail version of D3 by June 2011.
