Dec 22, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.Posted in: NewsQuote from "Shinpo" »The day Blizzard starts to make a certain game on both PC and console, is the day the game in question will be worse than what it could have been if made exclusively on PC only. The reason for this is that PC's are more adaptable/advanced.
(Body paragraphs cut out, see original post)
In conclusion, PC games that are being developed for both PC and consoles is a bad idea due to the different specifications each has. One (primarily the consoles) would force the other to be bogged down to reduce developement costs and such.
Ok let me give you a scenario:
Diablo 3 comes out in November 2011 on PC and Mac and everyones happy cuz it didn't come out on console and the controls are ideal for diablo 3 and you couldn't have been happier
Febuary 2012 Diablo comes out for Xbox 360 and PS3
Will this really have a lasting effect on your opinion of the gameplay if nothing has changed since the release of the game on PC? (considering you liked the PC version)

Dec 21, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.I wish I could just simply copy and paste all of the threads in the same format on the bnet forums cuz i like how our arguments are suprisingly mature but idk if i could say the same for bnet cuz i never use there forums but i believe im going to start a thread up on that forum and see how the response works outPosted in: News
sorry that was a bit off topic  -

Dec 21, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.I think a few people on this thread have the wrong idea. I'm positive that Blizzard would not sacrafice an element of gameplay in terms of the PC version to create a console port. They are not, in any way, going to displease their dedicated fans to get more customers. With that said I think that they would do a great job if they wanted to make a game for console and PC so i dont think the PC ppl have anything to worry about, its not like you have to buy for console and console only.Posted in: News

Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come. With the Diablo team being short staffed and all i could see where there would be a resource switch to the possiblity of a console re-release after the PC version is said and done and like i said before in a prior post im goin to wait for another press release or something that is concrete before i make any more assumptionsPosted in: News
but i still think that a port would be beast :D! -
Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.I say whatever happens happens cuz at this current time i dont think we have enough evidence to believe that Blizzard is even considering console. though in our minds the puzzle pieces seem to fitPosted in: News
we still have a year to go for game development so i think ill wait for a secure yes or no in a press release before i start making anymore assumptions -

lucky i can attach a mouse and keyboard to my ps3! =D
thats another great element that i simply forgot! if you are not willing to take up the challenge of diablo3 on a controller simply plug in a mouse and key board.
OP might say well hey why dont you just use your computer. well in my special case I have 2 computers 1 for work and 1 for leisure as well as a console but if i didnt have a second computer i might not be playing any PC games and therefore only use my console as my only form of entertainment. -
Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.thats not a very subtle leap in maturity for the wii console but yea that cursor on the wii might need work before totally implementing diablo unless there is some way that i am oblivous to.Posted in: News
Its not that the game wouldn't work on wii, its just that that the wii promotes family games and in terms of profit off the game alone idk if it would be the most sound choice but diablo 3 would definatly generate sales of the console thats for sure so idk it could go either way -
Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.Command and Conquer is an RTS so y would you conclude that something like diablo wouldn't work?Posted in: News

If you adapt both ways and make it possible to play the game at the same level of enjoyment and versatility, I believe the concept of MMORPGs on consoles not only becomes very viable, but also very, VERY marketable. And if that is possible, just imagine the profits Blizzard could make with that kind of sell....
Cheers to that Capn'!!
You just crossed that mental barrier that alot of PC gamers have and refuse to cross cuz of the fact that they do not want to see a de-evolution of core gaming within the upcoming titles but i think personally that if you bridge 2 giant communities you are bound to get great ideas from both that can generate a godly hybrid
I want both PC gamers and mature Console gamers to walk away happy
Keep core gaming alive but introduce more customers to expand the community. How does that sound?? -
Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come. And if i can think of something simple like that off the top of my head imagine what a collaboration of people at Blizzard that get paid to do this sort of thing will think of i really cant wait to see how the game turns out! It will be freaking beasty im surePosted in: News

Dec 20, 2009Z3RO posted a message on Cheer up console fans, your day may come.Ok soo don't freak out if this solution doesn't make sense or if you dont no wat im talking about but u could use a button hold solution.Posted in: News
How it works:
The longer you hold the button the farther the "distance selector" travels on the screen.
Say for instace you want to teleport to a location on screen.
You would use the right joy stick to select the direction you want to teleport
Then you would hold down the teleport button (what ever that may be) for .5 of a second that would put u a half a screen a way and a 1 second hold would yield a whole screen travel.
What ever the travel:time increment would be it would have to be fast enough to be efficient in pvp.
OP: Someone might say how could a person no the diffrence between a half a second and a full second button hold.
Trust me, if you sit someone down and make them use a tool they will learn how to use it.
Im not saying this is the best method but im only trying to help. -

Ever? hmm idk if i can agree. i.e. expansions?

If for some reason they decide that the LMS model is unfit for d3 in the efforts to keep the game un-competitive, why not consider the following formats:
-2v2v2 [Multi-Team]
-Capture the Flag
-Dota
-4v4? [Does anyone know if this is still going to make its way into the game?]
Added Suggestion:
-Different Map Variations?
Seeing as how they have a new matchmaking system specifically for D3 i can't think of any reason why they wouldn't release more than one game type.
Im interested to see what you guys think/have to add? Try not to troll to hard

Might ask Force and see if they have any info.

Idk. I just feel that without an item like enigma. [assumption] The fast paced action that is diablo 2, might be missing for me. The whole twitch reflex mechanic that d2 offers is what draws me in so much. But you do have a great point. Movement speed increases attached to boots would be a great solution but only time will tell.
