Well I already think the COTA runs should have also been nerfed.. along with Mira and the Caldeum quest
Zero might agree with me here, after doing some runs last night. I hate the idea that the best way to get exp is to do 1 minute runs of one area/event over and over..
On T6 I saw that Moldran posted a vid showing stats of 2.25 Billion XP/Hour for the run... which seems ridiculous..
I think I am just going to do guaranteed legendary skeleton king runs for a while.. it is more fun

Hi Guys,Posted in: Guilds and Clans
Wanted to join the US clan but full
I have a suggestion of creating maybe 6 DFans Clans:
"DFANS Torment 1"
"DFANS Torment 2"
"DFANS Torment 3"
That way we join a Dfans group that we can also group up with any/all people who are farming the same difficulty?

You like NIN right... well put on 'The Fragile' album and make sure that you are fighting a boss by the time 'complication' comes on = fun.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I play casual and I have just decided to do the whole story again from start to finish. I also chop and change between all the classes since the Idea of a 'Main' has subsided a little bit now all our characters are the same paragon level.
Or you can just do the old run of Woods>Weeping Hollow> Fields... Just make sure you listen to NIN/Trent Reznor while doing it is the only requirement

I read the post by 'The Tias' and I am guttered...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I have been away from the game(and posting on these forums) for the last month as I wait for the expansion -playing live for paragon levels is boring. After being so excited for D3X and then reading all of the negative things the MVPs have to say on RoS.. I am sad.
Since 2009 I have been a member of Dfans. checking everyday for updates. Watching the E3 gameplay footage of D3 for the first time when Siege breaker tore apart the barbarian (literally). I said to my wife "when D3 comes out I won't have to buy another game for like 10 years until D4 comes out " :p.
I played D3 with my mates when it finally went live. Always defending D3 when those mates left and said that it was lame and that they were disappointed."Don't worry", I said. "D3 has a great base, its going to get better". "Loot 2.0 is going to fix all the issues that made you leave the first time"...
I have for the first time started to question my faith in D3. Like an indoctrinated child of Christianity for the first time stops and thinks critically about what they believe in.
After reading that post by 'The Tias' I am questioning whether I even want to buy my CE edition too. Should I give up and look to other games.. I will see what happens over the next month or so. Keeping a close eye on what the community has to say about any improvements Blizz makes to the Beta before release.. but my confidence is wavering :(

Hold on...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Target Legendaries from my understanding was going to be that certain bosses would hold certain legendaries that would either drop the first time they were killed or would only drop say 1 or 2 specific legendary items but would have a % drop chance.
For instance - killing Leoric for the first time would get you say Leorics Signet.
Or .. you would farm Leoric over and over if you wanted Leorics Signet/Leorics Crown and hoped that it would drop.
From what I am hearing we get a Legendary drop from first boss kills? But not a specific Legendary? That just sounds lame and is just a "guaranteedlegendary drop' not a 'targeted legendary drop' from my point of view...

Can someone tell me if this feature is in the PTR/RoS?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I remember Blizz were going on about it and showed it off in gameplay video - go to 6.55 in the cliphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTeJOqO0Tbg

Travis kept saying he wanted legendaries that add a Game Mechanic that makes people change the way the play.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
So thought of these in 5mins just now after watching the twizzcast
1) Using a Potion triggers a legendary proc effect. - Now we would use Potions while at full health..
2) Playing while in Zoom mode - A legendary that gives you a huge benefit for gimping your visibility..
3) Every time you identify/pickup an individual item you gain X% magic find for X seconds.. this effect can stack... - now I start picking up everything
4)Everytime you pickup gold you gainX% gold find for X seconds.. this effect can stack..
5) Every time you drop an item you gain X% move speed for X seconds...this effect can stack..
6) Every time you make your character talk using the numpad you reduce enemies damage by X% for X seconds This can only proc every X seconds. This becomes sort of like a barbarian shout but for all classes.
Will think of more ways that i could change my gameplay if I had certain legendarys..

I to have started playing POE while D3 RoS is still in development....Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I do not like the combat in POE at all!... but I do like the more in depth systems it has outside of the combat.
They took two really good development systems (from my point of view) from the Final Fantasy Series.
1) The Sphere Grid of FFX - a levelling system i liked as it had depth and complexity (in a way) to it. They used this idea in the passive skill system for POE.
HOW I WISH D3 USED A SIMILAR SYSTEM IN PARAGON 2.0!...
2) The Materia System from FFVII. Materia/Gems level up as you fight and you can socket these together in linked items to create new skills/synergies/passive bonuses.
However after playing POE over the last 2-3 weeks... I just do not have the same excitement as I had when I first played the D3 during the first 3 weeks of release.. I actually have no burning desire to go home after work today and login to play POE... I have only played with friends and I could never play this game solo...
I see it like this.
Diablo 3 = Great Engine/Base which has enabled good combat and has nailed the "A" part of the "ARPG" but what it suffers on is the "RPG" part of the equation. I want some more depth to D3 on the RPG side.. and even with some of the features in RoS it doesn't feel like it there is enough yet.
POE = Average Engine.. which has left me with stale combat, dumb AI and leaves me bored with how 'clunky' it feels vs D3. However POE seems to have the "RPG" side of the ARPG equation a little more locked down. There is some complexity there and some real decision making (even though you can reroll) with the Sphere Grid/Passive Skill system.
All in all I believe that it is easier to add more of the RPG side of things in things like expansions. POE will NEVER have good combat in my opinion as they would need a new Engine which would = a new game...
FYI-I am from New Zealand by the way so I should probably be biased with GGG.. I also have the best ping in an online game that I have ever played

Is the Exp gain from lvl70 enemies a LOT more than current exp gains?Posted in: News & Announcements
If the same amount of experience to get to paragon 100 could be gained within say 5 hours of playing RoS... then I might not Plvl now and save my strength
