posted a message on yang's recurve lacking 1 random property

It's because the Recurve has a default roll of RcR on it, and it can also have an additional roll of extra RcR so it takes up a spot. If you go to reroll it with Myriam, you'd see that it has like 5-10% RcR or something like that on it. This you can roll to something else if you wish. It will still have whatever the base roll originally was as well.

Wow. Those last ones are obviously for an expansion of at least a new zone. It definitely seems to be the "horadrum sent to the Skovos islands" that Tyreal and what's his face were talking about that they haven't heard from in a while. Sounds like something interesting is happening on the island they were sent to investigate. Seems like a nephalem might need to go lend a hand.

posted a message on Hungering Arrow: The Ultimate Summary.

Absolutely not. A lot of people have this question about the discipline damage. Some say that with CoE (effectively +50% more damage for DH) and Manald, it equals higher damage bonuses than Focus and Restraint. Some argue that Manald Heal + Stone of Jordan is competitive with Focus+Restraint, but it's entirely not. The +Disc rings give 'additive' damage, and the Focus and Restaint combo gives 'multiplicative' damage.

What this means is that the +Disc would give: (81+10+11)*15 = 1530% Damage.

    Edit: With Manald + CoE: [(81+11)*15] * 1.5 = 2070% Damage.

    While F+R gives: (81*15) * 2.25 = 1215 * 2.25 = 2733.75% Damage.

You can see why Focus and Restraint combo is far better than the other rings, and this also shows why people say 'multiplicative' damage is much more powerful than 'additive' damage.

posted a message on PTR 2.3 Demon Hunter - Demon's Demise Explained (Video)

I'm finding that almost all the classes are reasonably balanced right now. Obviously there's some who are a tier or two ahead of the rest, but in my eyes, that's perfectly fine. Play the class you're happy with playing. If you're competitive, you should focus on competing with your class, not all classes. The game is fun! Have fun! I'm personally looking forward to playing my two favourite classes. Demon Hunter and Monk. I'm thankful both complement each other very much. Demon Hunter currently has so many builds that look so fun, I can't wait to play it. And I loved the play style of the monk in Season 1, can't wait to play U6. I had lots of fun with it on the PTR. Also it has great utilities in groups, so that will be useful. :D

posted a message on [2.3] Everything you need to know about Natalya RoV Optimization

When using the Natalya's set, it's much better to have whatever weapon is strongest in your mainhand. So if this is a Balefire or Calamity, put your Nats Slayer in your offhand to still benefit from the 25% bonus. Rain of Vengeance uses only your Mainhand to calculate the damage, so keep that in mind.

Also, swebarb are you using the Crashing Rain belt? That is the source of the majority of Natalya's damage. If you're not using that belt, it's basically only RoV doing mediocre damage. But it does do massive AoE damage and does a lot of hits, so they're smaller.

Natalya's takes a lot of playtime to get used to and to get good at, so give it some practice and I'm sure you'll love it eventually. It's so interactive and you need to actually play the game with it. I love it. When I first saw it I said 'no fooking way am I playing that. That looks stupid!' Then I tried it and gave it a chance and eventually fell in love with it. :)

posted a message on blizcon xpan what new class you like to seee

I personally think a Necromancer is most likely. They're already in the game (a couple of bounties and story lines mention them), and I think they're very much a fan favourite. They were kind of a staple in the Diablo franchise because of the dark, evil, sort of death-like theme of the game. The only thing I don't see is how it would play. Witch Doctors do a lot of what a Necromancer used to do in Diablo 2 (Pets, Summons, Debuffs, DOTs, etc.), so I think they'd need a whole new theme of the class.

Druids are very popular as well, but I'm not entirely sure if they'd fit in with the play style of Diablo 3. Especially with the Witch Doctor having a monopoly on pets at the moment. If it were to specifically focus on the shapeshifting aspect the Druid had in D2, that could be cool. That would open up a lot of options in terms of gearing and sets. Perhaps have a different shape for each element available to the class, each with a specific set catering to that shape. Could be really really fun and diverse. Thinking about that kinda makes me want the Druid/Shapeshifter as the next class.

It says primary skills/generators. Wizard spells are "Signature Spells". I'm 99% sure it's only demon hunters.

It only states Primary Skills, doesn't say Generator. Every class has Primary Skills. If you look at Depth Diggers, it clearly states "Primary skills that generate resource deal 80–100%additional damage". This one only states that "Your primary skills attack 30% faster and deal 45-60% increased damage".

Last, but not least, the Gem Simplicity's Strength says "Increase the damage of primary skills by 25%", and this one works for Wizards skills.

So please don't post when not only don't you know, but you also lack the knowledge to make an educated guess.

So basically you ask for an answer to a question, someone replies with a completely reasonable answer, which is actually educated because the belt used to say Generators, not primary skills. Hence why I had "Primary/Generators". Why ask a question if you're going to attack someone who gives you an answer. Typical internet troll. Congrats, you're a stereotype.

posted a message on Hungering Arrow: The Ultimate Summary.

I've actually been interested in this build for a while now but I'm currently on vacation and can't test it until I get back on the 18th. Hopefully the PTR will be up for a while longer so I can test some things before season 4 starts.

I do do however agree on the crossbow thing for this build. Lower attack speed and higher damage would benefit this build because it uses the new belt for Demon Hunters that boosts the attack speed of Generators by 30%. This makes up for the speed loss when equipping a 2H crossbow. This is a theory obviously, but I see no reason as to why it wouldn't be proven true.

I cannot wait to get home and test out these builds. Demon Hunter looks very fun and promising for season 4. There are so many builds and strategies that are opened with the introduction of Kanai'a Cube and I think lots more will reveal themselves as the season progresses. They always do. Builds change, new things are discovered, and the meta is always evolving. I want to see what will happen with the Demon Hunter. :)
