sabvre no need to tell others to stfu. also many people feel drop rate is low and they are going to buff it slightly. and who is gosu. i imagine someone many don't know about or care about.
I apologize for my approach... but seriously I'm sick of the 2000+ crowd feeling entitled to the game being tailored to them. I'm also sick of the people that speed rush the game, and expecting blizzard to tailor to them as well. Diablo is not a subscription game, and as such should neither receive the content, nor be played as such. 300 hours into any non MMO over a two year span should be considered plenty....

I'm not buying that difficulty system change as a reason for the abysmally low drop rate, for one reason only. From normal through master mode, there is absolutely zero change in legendary drop rates; that doesn't happen until torment. In that case, there was no reason to drop the legendary drop rate far below that of live on the PTR. I can understand tweaking the drop rates for torment difficulties, where the difficulty level does actually matter, but having actually participated in this thread's exploit, I have seen just how bad the drop rates really are. We would go anywhere from 200 to 300 (occasionally more) champ packs without seeing a legendary drop, and often, the only drop would be a legendary crafting material. Think about the time that you would spend without the exploit to farm the same number of champ packs, and then compare that to live. A very significant difference when the motto of RoS seems to be more, improved legendaries. Everyone, including Blizz, knows that the legendary drop rate is terrible on the PTR, and it will be buffed; that's not the issue. It does, however, have many of us wondering, just wtf were they thinking, lol? Barring any tinfoil hat theories, I'm leaning toward the idea that somebody just flat out forgot that MF was being nerfed with regards to legendaries, and so we have what we now have. It's beta, things happen, no biggie; kinda comical, imo. Trying to somehow rationalize it as it being what Blizz intended, well, to each their own opinion. Edit: Over the course of about 3 hours, give or take a little bit for breaks, and constantly using this exploit, I came out of it with 14 legendary crafting materials and 9 actual legendary items. MF of 260%. Just numbers for those who care. And yeah, ematanis, there is a lot of room to play with, I think, especially with cursed chests; it'll be interesting to see if they capitalize on things like that or not.
By NO means are the drop rates worse than production.... I'm an average player that plays on mp4 with around 250% total mf after calcs. I find the drop rates on the ptr extremely higher... and in fact probably perfect. It's only you "gosu" 500+% mf players that are whining. And really stfu.... blizzard is doing the less is more method... and they removed the horribly broken mf system that only allowed mp10/pl100 to see drops...

These games have always been short for a single play through. The point of games like this is the replayability.

Most people on this site have sunk between 300-3000 hours into the pc version. Being married with kids.. I'm probably about 500-800 myself.

That's sort of the thing about Diablo is that it attracts the sort off nerds that play the game like it's a full time job... and those nerds are the ones that rage because "the game sucks" (aka they got bored of repeating the same thing for 800 hours straight). All the negative criticism had been pointed at max level play.. as < 60 play is fun.

Yes... the ps4 version includes RoS. Additionally, some other features are rumored such as gifting stuff to your PSN friends (I don't believe specific items, but more a random item as sort of a toast for you getting a legendary), the ability to avenge the death of your friends by killing the mob that killed them, etc. Confirmed features are RoS, touch pad integration, and the ability to remote play on the vita. The details on the upgrade process haven't been officially announced.. but I expect your items and characters to transfer. It will probably require a thumb drive or a cloud PSN save to import.

    Fresh * (Swype).

And no... not a chance. Ps4 version has the expansion included. Only similar game situation was Injustice... and that game released a comparable ultimate edition on ps3. Ps3 does not have the expansion yet, and may never get it... so there is no directly equivalent product to upgrade.

Blizzard has stated that you will be able to transfer your characters from ps3 to ps4.. however with the RoS changes I suggest playing a crash character on the ps4 as it will be more enjoyable...

So basically it's a bug that causes the area damage on cast for the sum of the dot rather than proc per tick.... are you gonna report this?

For the purpose of testing I actually played my lv 55 character and gave him no extra gear so his gear level was fresh-ding, at first it was great as all the rares were pretty good upgrades and I even equipped a couple legendaries, yet these were obtained from guaranteed boss drops and were nothing special. Sadly after a couple of hours of farming I was able to breeze through Master, the rate in which I had legendaries drop was abysmal (around 1 every 2 hours) even the few I found were just junk and the rares were all the same, so common that you would have a full set of decent rares within an hour and even if one dropped that was an upgrade it was so small you wouldn't even notice.

I felt like I was back in live but with a lower drop rate of legendaries (I assume due to MF changes), just salvaging rares, no AH to maybe help me get some upgrades and ridiculously easy content. No hope of finding an upgrade anytime soon and just eventually getting bored, I felt even more lost than I do in live now as I felt like without the AH and with these drop rates I would never obtain a decent set and even if I did to get there would have been a long, slow boring grind which is not what I want to think when playing Diablo.
How am I the only person that caught this dude saying 1-2 legendary an hour was bad? Apparently someone never played pre MP vanilla Diablo....

I also can "download the PTR client" from my account, but when I run it the Desktop App launches and there is no PTR there.
My guess is that it's incoming and will begin after maintenance.

you missed something, ptr account creation available pretty much all the time, and you can download something from web page, but ptr and beta (real one) will be available only via battle.net app. (and ptr was removed week ago from app)
Not quite.. I uploaded and linked a screenshot in my OP. Look at the lower left corner... it specifically states content is available.

In FPS games you get one-shotted all the time :P
In all seriousness i don't think that with 800k health pools ppl will continue to get one shotted specially since crit damage is no longer as high as in vanilla.

How isn't it it as high? We only lost one barb passive....

Also... we have 3k dps x 100 (main stat) x 40 (skill) (12M) base damage even before crits.
