I've been running shenlongs with crippling wave - mangle.
Use:
2pc rainment (shoulders and chest)
mage first gloves
2pc sage's journey (helm and boots)
nemesis bracers
focus + restraint
any belt you want
any amulet you want
cube:
flying dragon
spirit guards or leoric's crown

Can easily net 50+ death's breaths a 10 rift while maintaining an excellent clear time. The more cdr you have the more dashing strike and epiphany is up so you can get from elite group to elite group faster.

For the non elemental allies I assume their basic punch is plain physical damage and would be increased by +%physical damage.
I was wondering for the fire and cold ally though if their base attack is their elemental type or if it's still physical?
I know their active ability is fire and cold damage, but wasn't sure about the basic attack.
Anyone know?
