    I only play ladder so I'm clearing out my NL char. I don't have much 'cause I only played for a couple weeks at the beginning of the last ladder season but from memory there's a decent spirit shield, an Ohm rune, an anni, maras. Could be other stuff but I don't remember. Anyways everything on those chars is up for grabs for anyone who wants it.

    Edit: Found another account with a smiter on it. Soo hoz, coh archon plate, anni, lots of charms, +2 skills, 19 res pally ammy. Also a near perf astreon's iron ward. I want the account name so the character will be deleted, but the items are up for grabs. Oh and 2 organ sets along with some keys.

    I was wondering if any of this was still available
    acct- rdbutler

    It is all still available. If someone replies to this thread I'll recieve a notification on my phone so stick around to see if I reply. If I don't reply in like 10 mins I probably won't be logging on.

    Cheap Smiter is my favourite build. Here's some info on the wands. I have taken down ubers and dclone with only a level 4 wand and once I hit level 83 got the better wand. Keep in mind life tap can also spawn on daggers. I think I will build a smiter and post my own build 'cause I disagree with some things in that guide. For example. Why max smite? It's useless to max it. You take smite for the effects (stun/knockback/ignore def/uninterruptable). Your main form of damage here is going to be crushing blow. So at worse you'll take down the the ubers a little slower but in the end save a shitload of time if you max Zeal for crowd control.

    Edit: I found the post I was looking for. This is an EXCELLENT guide with multiple levels of gear you can use from poor to rich.

    Skill Level and Number of Charges

    Based on what adeyke wrote in an archived thread @ the Amazon Basin, discussing Life Tap wands. Compare the Arreat Summit.

    Charged item suffixes, skill level (slvl) and number of charges (N)

    slvl = [(ilvl - reqlvl) / [neg((99 - reqlvl)/max)]]
       N = [neg(min) * slvl / 8] + neg(min)

    ; ilvl is the item creation level ("item level")
    ; reqlvl is the level requirement of the skill (as explained above)
    ; min and max are parameters given by the affix
    ; neg() is negation

    [ ] floor function (rounds down to the nearest integer)

    Life Tap
    Tier 4 (reqlvl = 18). The wand suffix with this charge has min = -60 and max = -6 (see above), listed as [60/6] on the AS page.

    slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / [neg((99 - 18)/-6)]]
    slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / [neg(81/-6)]]
    slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / 13]

       N = [neg(-60) * slvl) / 8] + neg(-60)
       N = [60 * slvl / 8] + 60
    from which we deduce that 13 * slvl + 18 gives the minimum ilvl for Life Tap charges other than slvl 1.

    Level 1 Life Tap (67 Charges): ilvl 23 (see the next section)
    Level 2 Life Tap (75 Charges): ilvl 44
    Level 3 Life Tap (82 Charges): ilvl 57
    Level 4 Life Tap (90 Charges): ilvl 70
    Level 5 Life Tap (97 Charges): ilvl 83
    Level 6 Life Tap (105 Charges): ilvl 96

    I also agree the ending was rushed. It all happened too fast. I just didn't feel attached to the character as much as I did when I read the books.

    I really love both those actors. Together they're awesome. Not as good as the Hangover but still an amazing movie. Reminded me of Planes Trains and Automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin. Great movie and definitely recommend this to anyone.

    I don't own BF2142. Played the demo for a bit when it first came out but didn't like it. I don't play any of the newer ones either. Just installed BF2 and started playing again. I'll probably be bored of it before the month is out and move on to something else. I'm thinking Pokemon Blue or Red for Gameboy Color. Oh yeah baby.

    posted a message on Favorite Book/Book Series
    Quote from Magistrate

    YES! I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I'm reading Bearers of the Black Staff still. I feel like he lost some of his style over the years. My favorite of the old Shannara series will always be the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara, and then the Word and Void trilogy. The new ones are alright, but eh.

    The funny thing is that he wrote Sword first, then he started W/V, not even thinking he'd ever connect the two and now, all these years later, here he is, doing just that. I was a poster at the Shannara fansite before I was ever here. That was back in...2005? 2006?

    I haven't been reading much lately (SC2 takes up all my time) so I didn't know he came out with a new book. I'm definitely going to have to get it. I agree the books he first wrote are not like the ones he writes now but I think of it more as an evolution of his writing. I like the older style but I also like his newer style. At first I really disliked the Void trilogy but quickly got into it. Then when he started to link things up with the Genesis of Shannara I fell in love. Loved that trilogy. I think my favourite would also be the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara. It's a great read and I've read those three books many times over. According to his website he'll be writing another trilogy placed after the High Druid ones. Definitely looking forward to that.

    Have you read any of his Landover books? I haven't read any of those.

    :offtopic: Last year my roommate got a pumpkin to carve and I planted one of the seeds. It grew into a pumpkin vine, who I named Abner. I never got any pumpkins out of him, because he got killed by bugs.

    I lol'd.

    Amazing job on the pumpkin carving, man. Like everyone else I've only done the typical jack-o-lantern style.

    Nono I agree. Obviously the technology is not available yet. Which is why we need to develop it. Ideally it'd be best to eliminate the need to go to space at all (except for maintenance) and just create some sort of dish to focus the energy into a beam and send it down to a reciever on earth.

    In one second, our sun produces enough energy for almost 500,000 years of the current needs of our so-called civilization.

    I think we need to learn to harvest the energy of the sun better. Obviously there isn't enough room on the surface of the planet for the solar panels required to take in all that energy. PLUS you can't always rely on the sun to be visable. So lets eliminate the atmosphere and build orbital platforms which can collect the energy.

    Now we need some way to get the energy back to earth. I was thinking we could drag water into space and convert it into Oxygen and Hydrogen, then bring the gases back to earth and use it produce electricity but just to get into space we'd need to burn a significant amount of both so in the end will it be worth it? If there was a way to get payloads to space cheaper and using less hydrogen then it could be feasible. It wouldn't even have to be that far up. Could be low-earth orbit.

    Here's an interesting read on getting shit to space cheaper:
