Skill Level and Number of Charges

Based on what adeyke wrote in an archived thread @ the Amazon Basin, discussing Life Tap wands. Compare the Arreat Summit.

Charged item suffixes, skill level (slvl) and number of charges (N)

slvl = [(ilvl - reqlvl) / [neg((99 - reqlvl)/max)]]
   N = [neg(min) * slvl / 8] + neg(min)

; ilvl is the item creation level ("item level")
; reqlvl is the level requirement of the skill (as explained above)
; min and max are parameters given by the affix
; neg() is negation

[ ] floor function (rounds down to the nearest integer)

Life Tap
Tier 4 (reqlvl = 18). The wand suffix with this charge has min = -60 and max = -6 (see above), listed as [60/6] on the AS page.

slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / [neg((99 - 18)/-6)]]
slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / [neg(81/-6)]]
slvl = [(ilvl - 18) / 13]

   N = [neg(-60) * slvl) / 8] + neg(-60)
   N = [60 * slvl / 8] + 60

from which we deduce that 13 * slvl + 18 gives the minimum ilvl for Life Tap charges other than slvl 1.

Level 1 Life Tap (67 Charges): ilvl 23 (see the next section)
Level 2 Life Tap (75 Charges): ilvl 44
Level 3 Life Tap (82 Charges): ilvl 57
