    Eather walker.
    Teleport Wormhole.

That did the trick. Never since i played diablo was i aware that one could teleport so fast though, it was like doing D2 mephi runs :D
Cant imagine it being so easy with every class.

posted a message on bane of the stricken ?

Thanx for the vid. Its got even more sources linked, so thats awesome.

It does not directly answer my question about the lvl 25 effect that works on "bosses". you say "the monster type needs qualify.".

I have read people say in different places that elites (bleu, yellow) are considered bosses and thus qualify.

I have some difficulties believing that. Quin doesnt really address the lvl25 effect at all, he just sais that the gem is rather useless for anything except rift guardians. So i think i can interpret that as it indeed not working on blue and yellow mobs as 25% dmg against blue and yellow would imo be pretty darn useful.

(not confirmed tho, just something i read somewhere)

Ye thats why i asked for links to first hand sources of info.
People just repeating what they have heard sometime somewhere doesnt help, usually different people heard different things and surely sometimes a group shouts hard enough to give some theories dominance and soon everyone believes in "facts" that have materialised out of thin air. I am not looking for that. If anyone has links to proof that makes me happy. If not, then i might have to do the testing myself someday. (but im lazy so dont count on me yet)

Can anyone link me to first hand information on this gem.

Does it work AOE now ?

Why does it say bosses and not elite monsters like every other thing in the game ?

I have read posters say (in old posts from last season) that it works on elites, but it is odd that this would be worded differently than everything else in the game, so a first hand source of info would be appreciated. (official statements would be appreciated or a post/vid from a reputed player actually testing it properly). Some for the AOE factor, i have seen posts saying it didnt work properly last patch, now i see people using it, but no source of info or anything in the patch notes that it now does actually work.

    Thanx :)

posted a message on Armor vs All Resist?

seems to me the formula is the same for AR and armor with only a factor 10 difference.

They each have dimminishing returns so when you compare your AR*10 with armor its best to increase the lowest.

280 (equals 28AR) armor vs 78 AR is a huge difference. Not only is AR usually lower anyways, even if it is not, it would need to be an enormous amount higher to make the armor beat the AR.

My guess is that it feels like its going better because you kill stuff faster so that they have less time to damage you. ?

posted a message on Being weak in a group

When is it according to your gamers ethics correct to play a multiplayer game at difficulty level "x" vs when are you leeching. (rifts or bounties, not grifts)

Of course i ask this because of personal experience after many people leaving game and once even being kicked from a game. I am a noob who made his first HC char really safe. 20m toughness, 2m regenerate, ancients together as one. Problem is 250k dmg with only scheaffers for special effects. I have no fear of dying in T6 rifts but it takes me 40 mins or so to clear one. I would make my build a bit more dmg oriented, but i simply dont have anything better.

Being very anoyed by the key drop rate in T1, i go for T6 rifts. I could solo them. But i dont like playing solo. I aint asking for paragon 500 players to join. I would be happy if 3 more weaklings like me join the game. More happy even as it is more fun than trying to keep up with someone running trough at max speed. Those players are very rare though.

Should i stay away from T6 because i cant keep up with the speed others clear it at ?

PS if there is anyone on europe HC seasonal who is in a similar sitation and wants to team up with me, feel free to drop me a PM :)
If you are a squichy ranged DD whos afraid of the mobs, come team up, i and my 3 ancient buddies will tank for you :)

posted a message on weapon damage

Thanx hldemi, so everything is included.

I had just edited out my armor question. I didnt realise before that it is also for magic damage and thus it is identical to res all. (aint that an interesting design choise)

And i guess the answer to that last question then is "it gets even worse" lol.

Little use being fancy and using combining multiple skills if one of them does 25x dmg.

Oh well, D3 is kinda fun in a gimmicky way. I guess it wont ever live up to its predecessors though where you could at least have a little skill in the game. Fits the theme with heartstone and heroes of the storm. Blizzard went from the making the best games for the serious gamer to focussing on the casual. Good thing im trying to be casual with my gaming these days :)

posted a message on weapon damage

    Hello,

I am quite new and was lucky enough to find scheaffers hammer just before turning level 70. It does 700% weapon damage in lightning.

It does indeed do multiple times the damage i do myself. This one feels so OP that i kind of stopped caring about my attack damage output and started focussing purely on pushing up this lightning damage and surviving with this hardcore toon.

However, what What exactly is weapon damage.?

Does everything that increases my sheet damage help weapon damage ? Battle rage ? Berserkers rage ?

When looking at all these items that do 500 - 1000% weapon damage aoe i get the feeling that my attack skills dont matter all that much anymore. Who cares if im whirlwinding or frenzying or whatever if i only do a fraction of the damage that everything gets near me anyway. Doesnt that make the game a bit of a joke. Or am i overlooking things here and are there factors that will greatly increase my damage output but not weapon damage (and thus not those effects ?)
