posted a message on Brainless Builds Comparison: Sage's set builds (with videos)

For the DH, I tested tons of build with natalya or shadow. I tested barb and wizard. I enjoyed the explosion build for wizard but I can never keep the 4 stacks of tal rasha and it annoys me.

I mainly play DH UE, and I'm much faster with it. Mainly because I have nearly perfect gear and each ancien piece is reinforced with 80+ gems. I find a bit frustrating to play T8 to farm DB. I don't play T13 either but T11-T12 are the best spot in my opinion.

I tend to say that to farm DB, just use a "speed farm" version of your most used build. The quality of your gear and the fact that you're used to this build should largely compensate the fact that this is not a "DB build".

I was very interested by all your test Bagstone, and I'm impressed by your dedication.

As a brainless build, I would advise UE with the gold belt and avarice band. You just don't use your brain for that. You run, the avarice band pick up globe and health globe, the only thing you have to do is pick up legendaries and DB. But again, I'm used to this build.

I think it's just the usual UE farm build. Something like that:

    http://www.diablofans.com/builds/87407-2-4-3-s9-mrus-dh-fire-multishot-speed-rift

(but I use in the cube the gear that reduce by 30% the cost of fire spells, then use the fire vault. The one that reduce cost if damage free is interesting also with the other rune for even more cost reduction of vault. For passive, I get rid of hot pursuit and tactical advantage. I use ambush, cull of the weak and ballistic. If you have an amulett with another passive, that's even better. With avarice band and blood vengeance, you can vault like crazy without any discipline problem. Damage is important to be as fast as possible in the highest difficulty possible.

posted a message on White Items are they still needed? Blue Items?

    To complete hwt101 comment.

White and blue items yeld a higher density of materials/square in your stash. When picking items in a rift to salvage them, it's higly unefficient to pick yellow. Just take white and blue, then transform them into yellow if needed using the cube. One rift worth of death breath allow you to create a ton of yellow.

posted a message on The meta for 4man group

It's true that in a sense, NS is dead. Some very high players still play. But you can play in an efficient group only if you already know and play with them all the time. Last season, I mostly played solo because I never could find a group in the clubs.More importantly because I don't play a lot anymore and you need time to adapt to new gameplay.

I had a quite decent wizard that I wanted to try and understand. I never could play with it. It's a good point that firebug existed. I could chain 95 in solo and still increase my gems and loot a bit. Firebug was the most fun build I played in a long time. Too bad it's a bug :P

posted a message on [PTR] Season 7 Conquests

Correct me if I'm wrong but boon of hoarder gives a similar amount of gold for each kills, regardless of its a white, an elite or a goblin. Thus in the case of a gilded, I would assume boon of hoarder to be negligible, since this gem give more gold with more kills (hence the utility of ruin of corvus in that sense)

posted a message on Why people are so obsessed with COSMETICS?

No you're not the only one. Some even complain why my character is looking so bad. Simple answer is, I don't care with transmogrification either.

But they like it, fine. Since there isn't much more to do with season 6, that might explain why people are so obsessed with it. We are all a bunch of addicts and we'll find a way to play Diablo, even if it mean farming 22 pets for using only one of them, useless in a gameplay aspect.

posted a message on Specific Gear Farming

If you want to get marauder and are p300, my answer will be short : go season. You'll find quite easily someone to PL you. In the season, the free set is... Marauder ! You'll then get at least a complete set to start to work with.

The other answer is : To get a complete set (not perfect but a first one), use the cube. Use kadala to farm for pants. Stock all the marauder's pants you can and use the cube to convert them to other marauder pieces. Why pants? Because it's easier to get marauder pants than to get marauder helm using kadala, due to the lower number of differents pants compared to helmets.

Once you have the full set, you can start to use it (that's assuming you haven't any better choice)

Reroll legendary / upgrade rare to legendary are powerfull method but they also cost a LOT of material. Keep them once you have almost everything but some pieces you want in ancient.

Save death breath for later. Also, keep in mind that pants and helm only cost 25 shards compared to weapon (75), but the cost is the same using death breath or reroll using cube. My advice is : upgrade and reroll to get perfect weapon, and spend shards on all the pieces that cost 25. By that time, you'll see what you have left to farm.

posted a message on How much Exp can you get in Groups per hour?

I tried to see how far as a solo player I was able to get XP from GR's. The result was awfull. Take for instance a 4-man group. They can clear with or without boss. Support allow far more survivability than a solo player. A DPS can then kill only trash, or trash+boss, and get tons of XP.

By comparison, I tried a solo 100 to see if I could run a no boss GR. I was completely destroyed without any chance to get even a tiny amount of XP. Same goes for lower level (with LoN bombardment, since it has quite a lot of toughness).

Solo play will never ever compare to 4-man group. Mainly because meta can change over time. Changing gears and classes amoung the 4 slots allow us to trade one thing for another and get the right mitigation between DPS, packing, control and survivability. A solo player doesn't have that (apart from oculus and unity).

I would be interested if someone could prove me wrong. I would like to try solo play to get gears, Xp and gems. So far, if I want that, I need to play meta, and for a few MAJ i'm bored by that (so I don't play it).

posted a message on Sentry Friendly Fire bug ?

It happened to me. A friend killed me (killed by "friendTAG" in chat). At the time, I thought it was reflect but he was playing dart WD so the "reflect projectile" thing make sense now.

posted a message on 2.4.1. Patch / The Meta Thread

If you play Non Season, you will still get the one you already got, and Non Season will then be polluted by all the wizard that have perfect twister sword.

The only solution if they want to nerf the twister is to change the skill imho.

posted a message on Poll: Are you going to play season or non-seasonal?

Previously, I never bothered to do season. Then when all my friend went there, I played it once, to be with them. After that, "never again", then stash tab came and I was all trapped again. So now, I'm more determined than ever to play season up to the point of the stash tab, then go back to non season the minute I got it.

S6 will be no exception to that. And as you pointed out, caldesann and ancient items for LoN comfort me in my decision. It take me an entire season to up 13 gems to 80+ I'm not doing that again, and again, and again. I spent a LOT of time to farm for material, DB, keys, gold. And I would hate to do that again.
