This thread inspired me to try my luck. Here's the first ilvl 63 item that dropped for me. Not too shabby for a DH. :Thumbs Up:

posted a message on Merchant exploit / bug?
Thanks for your replies. I realise the best items in game will come from drops however I don't think magic (blue) items will have no value. As the game progresses and merchants sell higher level items as someone posted above they found merchants to sell awsome items. I just feel that coming across a merchant selling a magic item with great stats and being able to buy an unlimited supply of it seems broken. It would make more sense to once purchased have the merchant resupplied with a new random magic item. This would keep with the the current unlimited blues and once off yellows but feel more balanced and more Diablo with randomization.

I had a great time playing the open beta this past weekend. Whilst playing multiple characters I never had a ring drop. After a quick look around town, I found one merchant that sold rings. What I found strange was after purchasing a ring it didn't disappear from the merchant's for sale list and I could purchase as many of that ring with the exact same stats as I wanted. I checked the AH and as expected saw It flooded with rings with good stats like increased damage + increased attack speed, all of which had high buyout prices. I'm not sure if this merchant selling mechanic is working as intended or bugged but it differs from both D1 and D2 and could easily be exploited for money making.

posted a message on Respecs can be expected (confirmed, i guess)
Heres an idea I think could work well for respecs and the penalty applied.

Giving things like gold and items each respec imo won't work well. It's very easy to attain these through your own higher level characters, friends, or for some people ebay etc..
I agree with a previous post that respecs seem like a bad idea allowing anyone to try every kind of spec in 15 minutes. Therefore a system with a cooldown of time after each respec, be it a week or a month depending on what seems fair by Blizz could be the way to go. This way respecs can be in the game, without being abused and people won't feel too severely penalised when using them, losing exp, gold etc.
