PTR is live though, you need to close and start your Battle.net App Client. And if you do not have that, download it under Games & Codes on your Battle.net.
Over the huge PLAY button you should have PTR above the normal servers.
To those who got Closed Beta: Reaper of Souls, it should be there too but names Beta: Reaper of Souls or similar.
Good Luck everyone!

A "new" way to play in the lines of Crushing Blow, Critical Hit and Splash.. I present: "Stacker"Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
12/12/2013 5:16:54 AM
"New" in a sense it would become something for every element; poison, frost, bleed, explosion, arcane, etc. etc.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The main idea is that you can change your damage similar to splash, critical and crushing blow. Stacker brings a combination of usage of these three to stacks. Some weapons or items would benefit in you getting 3-5 splash damage to unleash Stackattack. Other example would be the stacker would activate once we successfully have had 3-5 critical hits, or 3-5 crushing blows.
The stackattack itself is 20% damage out of these 3-5 hits combined. Dealing a huge deal of pain once we successfully have gotten it to work.
An alternative would be that items would be exclusive to this new function. A sword with 5 stack ability would give us a powerful sixth attack and built up based out of different engines/resources like crushing blow, crit hit etc. The powerful attack would based out of your actual DPS in this (third) alternative and give us a bit more stuff o play around with.
If it seems like it would be too OP, there are many ways to shift its pacing by ignore crit hit for example and just have it built up over time, maybe after x kills. Kill 5 for one stack, 15 for full stack and on the 16th enemy you deal this % damage of some kind.
The stacker would also be different from item to item, dealing either poison, bleed, arcane, fire etc. based out of that items elemental affix. Usage of animations and specialeffects wouldn't be a problem if we can use same things we already have within the game now, dealing out a nova or a skill with different colors in the background.
Below is examples of a Holy Stacker. Its a mock up and there is no enemies, but imagine for every stack we get closer to the powerful attack!

About EnchantingPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
- Rares, Legendaries and Set-items can be rerolled.
- Only one stat can be exhanged. Once rerolled, you can reroll only that recent stat as many times as you want if you have material and gold to do so.
- Enchantment knows what character you are playing and thus only show your class base stats (Monk = dex + vit and so on).
- Set items need sometimes an item, for example gloves (any itemlevel will do and type) to make a glove of that set item. Some legendaries need this too.
- White items is easy to find, the hard part is to find "Forgotten Souls" material to reroll legendaries ilevel 61+.
Here are the tiers, first being level 1-60. Next being 61-70
Normal: Reusable Parts, Common Debris
Magic: Exquisite Essence, Arcane Dust
Rare: Iridecent Tears, Veiled Crystal
Legendary: Fiery Brimstone, Forgotten Souls
Crafting (books): Tome of Secrets, Scholarly Writings
Crafting (special): Demonic Essence, Deaths Breath

For a good start in Reaper of Souls...Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Keys = make infernal machines if possible or save 20+ of each.
Infernal Machines = save them
Organs = save them
Hellfire Rings: save for your 60-70 adventure + follower thereafter
Demonic Essence: save 1000
Iridescent Tear: save 1000
Tome of Secrets: save 1000
Brimstone: save 1000
Gems: save only marquise for insta-boost 1-70 with new class and old characters.
Gems below Marquise tier: Sell on AH, now!
Keywarden still drop keys, Normal - Torment 6. I think its 10% in normal (which now is the easiest difficulty) and then keeps rising 10% for each difficulty to Torment VI with 100% dropchance. This is not confirmed however.
