Space for another Nephalem?? I'll gladly join, since the Clan I joined (As good as the name is) is kind of dead, and it is moot to be hanging around a bunch of non-comunicating key pressers. My battletag is Romulus#2775!
Maybe Thorns could be change to be a stat that decreases damage, attack speed, movement speed, and health of enemies. That would be a fun thing to do! What do you think? Wouldn't that make it specialize for people who really want to support like a real tank, by debuffing and taking all the hits for the party/healing others?
I've been thinking about it for a while. Roland's was updated, and I think that the new legendary unique effect of Denial (Normal shield) would go really well with Roland's and Focus + Restraint, added with Golden Flence two handed Flail would do good, no? Maybe have a Celerity rune on Punish would also be good? I don't know, just asking if it might be viable for GRifts past 45.
EQ set was most fun I got with barb since vanilla days... Shame its so weak now... Raekor lacks single target. You can do maybe 15b per minute with it. While ww does 50b+ easy on single target. While ww is almost as good for groups. Even if you gave raekors no cooldown at single target WW would still do more dmg . Needs big changes to become competitive while EQ needs huge DMG buff.. Like 500% more dmg from quakes. Still wouldnt be enough... And mobility would also be an issue with EQ
I dn't think it would be an issue if you'd get an in-geom with 10 sec cd reduction, you would have perma leap for 15 seconds, and that is plenty of time to kill another rare while speedrifting.
Wrath of the wastes is in line with other classes best sets . Nerf WotW and you will get barb at least 6 levels behind DH and wizard. Also its never good to nerf, its always better to buff underperforming sets.
There is no doubt that if all sets were equally powerful that the game would be more fun, the problem is that its required to constantly balance them since every now and then some player is gonna figure out some combination that will suddenly make one set overperform. This tells you that its very hard to test and balance everything.
For me what is balanced best in barbs is IK BB or 2 BK swords ... that is just how it should be with sets. Where you can hardly decide what is better. So that the player preferences become deciding factor. Same with UE or natalia for DH... But somehow blizzard likes to make something OP and just keeps rotating what it is ...
That's true. They buffed all the pylons, so that's a good first step on 2.2 already. I hope they'll kinda buff up sets like Might of the Earth and Raekors, thought the latter just needs a few tweaks here and there to get to the level of WW.
To have Wrath of the Wastes nerfed, or all the other barb sets buffed?
It always made me kinda annoyed that sets were scaling rather than stabilizing. This is in the way that you'll have to start off with, say, raekors, and then upgrade to Wrath set. Most of the times, we don't even pass by Earth set. I feel like Blizzard should consider putting every item set on the same level, since we're dependable on one single viable build for damage, that is WW Barb. Without that, you'll have alot of issuesgoing past 50+ GRifts.
You're very right. Blizzard already started on that, though! Remember Blizzcon 2k14? Before 2.2, we were always dependant on whether we had a conduit pylon for the guardian or shield, power pylon, any of those. Now most of us can enjoy grifting in the 40s while still laid back. Delsere/Tal Rasha are two sets that are very easy to acquire on a Wizard, and those builds even have multiple options, all of them are viable, too. I hope they do it for all of the sets of the classes...
Absolutely agree!
I feel like the whole point of a set is to differentiate, but yet compete. I see no reason why sets like the Earth set or even Voker set are not viable. I know they have already publicly stated that they are reworking Vokers (which I am highly excited for), and I hope they really make sure to put a focus on getting all sets with a base level of +/- 4 GRift levels of one another. Obviously the supporting legendary items can widen that gap a bit, but this would at least afford people the option of playing multiple builds rather than the one and only build that gets you into the highest levels.
That's great! I always pictured Thorns of the Invoker to become some sort of awesome tanking set. You know, Thorns barb, or crusader, they can both have passives that give bonus thorns and stuff. That would be amazing, specially for GRifts higher than 50! If you have like, say, 50mil thoughness with 3000% weapon damage thorns, that would be glorious, and excelent for new set ups of GRift teams. There also need to be more support and tank builds for Barbarians. And the Earth set shoul be lifted up to the level of raekor, to say the least. Something along the "Leap gains effects from all runes", or something like "Enemies hit by Leap suffer 50% more damage everytime you leap on them, stacking up to 5-10 times."

Well, I have a bunch of friends and we're always testing out crazy shit like In-geom + slow time delsere's wizard that shit is insane I got about 19 slow times put down at the same time it started lagging my computer like crazy (We were GRifting 43 and there were alot of skeletal archers lmao)
Now, for the topic-making. Is it really going to be a new meta? From what I've seen, it is pretty good to farm T6 rifts and bounties, not so sure about yolo-ing GRifts over 27. Look at the bright side; Your in-geom makes you leap unendingly for 15 seconds!

Hello guys, Sedivh here. I'd like to show you guys the build I created based on a video I saw and I'd like to share with you guys.
Here's the build:
http://www.diablofans.com/builds/55860-revival-of-leapquake-barb-2-2
Now, for the topic-making. Is it really going to be a new meta? From what I've seen, it is pretty good to farm T6 rifts and bounties, not so sure about yolo-ing GRifts over 27. Look at the bright side; Your in-geom makes you leap unendingly for 15 seconds!
The video I was inspired by is found here:

Also, are you interested in testing this build with me? I only play on Europe, so I apologize if you don't have any characters in the server. :<
