posted a message on Diablo 3 Armor and gear question.
Well I remember getting into a discussion about it on these forums, neither side could come up with conclusive evidence for or against set items being essentially 'legendary' instead of having their own class, but this is where the idea came from - http://www.diablowiki.net/Set_Items. I 100% don't think it'll stay the same as this actually, reading over it now, because the way Bashiok says set items will be implemented sounds flimsy and out of touch with the modern d3 build (my interpretation). And let's all, even me, keep in mind that Bash's blue post is OLD (early 2011).

So in summary, :hehe:, no one knows for sure at this current stage whether there will be green 'set items' (Which would clash with the colour of lore/quest items in game at the moment) or just legendary items that act as items of a set and give bonuses as such (Which doesn't follow suit with the website's item guide). I guess we each just pick a side and say nah nah na nah nah to whomever was wrong come May 15th.

AND there are no 'set items' per se, the website is outdated. It was explained before that instead we will have legendary items that, when worn with certain other items will give added bonuses the way set items worked in d2.

Edit: sorry other posts came in while I was posting that... Overneathe, when did they say that Legendary sets were green again?

Kind of off topic, but I am jealous you are able to have a breakfast this early. I'd vomit probably.

You'll throw up if you eat too early? I'm jealous, no matter what time I wake up my stomach is always grumbling :S

For every beta key I'm blessed with, one lucky homeless person will be given a bottle of water and a sandwich on the way to work. I solemnly swear.

I honestly can't think of any...maybe the crafting system? And *most* people ( I wouldn't say 98% ) are pretty happy about the classes. I personally love all but the rune system, but I can see why they did it the way they did.

posted a message on Rate The Last Movie You've Seen
Let Me In 8/10. It was a subtle horror movie with some drama aspects, with Chloe Moretz.

Just as a side note I've come to realise that international movies with subtitles are JUST as good as movies made in your language, of course as long as acting and the rest is up to scratch. This is based on (but not solely, I watch World Movies a fair amount) REC and REC 2, 10/10 for the first and and 8/10 for the second.

EDIT: Just watched Hard Candy as well as Snaks, and have to agree that movie is brilliant. 10/10 for me because it was really interesting and original.

posted a message on melee or ranged?
The Barb has a (be it less effective than actual ranged classes) way of kiting. Just grab yourself Weapon Throw with enhanced damage or something, and Sprint with Marathon rune.

EDIT: And then I read that you didn't mention Barb at all, but rather Monk. Disregard me.

posted a message on Starter Edition Available on Beta? (Play without Beta) [Fixed]
Yep, as much as I wish this was their surprise version of open beta, they wouldn't still be handing out beta keys if open beta was going to happen. They might just be doing a sneaky test of their starter edition, checking how it would fair being online for the first time.

Are Australians with SEA bnet accounts being given keys? I'm wondering if I have false hope and there's actually no chance of a beta key for me.

And then there's the class skills and passive changes.... god dammit, I was counting on Tough as Nails for my barbarian build (which has gone from increasing armour by 100% down to 25% since late last year), and I'm sure no one wanted to see Blizzard get tampered with any further. With the numbers it had through patch 15 how could it possibly need to be less powerful?

EDIT: Sorry my bad interpreting skills, I found that class items have their own perks, I guess it just depends on which item drops first with the best stats, class specific or the general type.

posted a message on FIFA Street 2012?
    Hey everyone.
Who's diggin the FIFA street right now? I can tell you right now I am. I've been pretty content with passing the time playing FIFA 12 for a while now, albeit tolerating those terrible head to head and UT disconnections right at the last second of the match(which apparently 50% of the FIFA community are oblivious to), and although I'd been watching out for FIFA street I never expected much. I only received the game today but good god, I haven't been able to stop playing! The thing that amazes me the most is the in game mechanics. It'd be SO complicated to piece together all those movements and skill moves in fluid motion, and yet it works perfectly. The only thing I'd say bugs me in the slightest way is the fact that just like in Fifa 12 players rely more on the flair shot that straight shooting. But that's it. I also bought SSX the other day and I think I'm having the most fun on a console since sonic racing was around on the sega, when you got to go around loopdeloops and pick up massive speed?

So yeah, those who have Fifa street 2012, what do you reckon? I can see why it got 8s in reviews, I don't think it's a perfect 'all round' game, just highly entertaining. Thoughts on SSX? Sport games in general? I'll just mention that I play football (or soccer or whatever, let's not go into that) and I love the finesse that it takes to play the indoor and futsal games so that's probably why I've gone bonkers over FIFA street. But share your opinions and whatnot, it'd be interesting to hear.

posted a message on Item Quality: Color Coding Question
Well you don't have any references ;D and I found the quote from Bashiok in 2011 that states the set items won't be colour distinguished from legendaries. That info from October is the newest quote we have, unless someone wants to ask on the forums and wait for a blue reply. I'll post a link to Bashiok's statement in a minute (typing on my phone)

My apologies for being half-assed and not finding the proper quote but this is what it was, June 2011: http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/diablo-iiis-item-colors

Now someone please prove me wrong about set colours, I'd love for them to be green but I'm just not seeing two totally different item types being the same colour (lore and armour). In short, I think that's stupid.
