The game is so much fun without life steal... You actually have to avoid getting damaged by certain things. It's a lot more challenging and feels like a game.
Just don't believe all the noobs who claim that they are "farming t6 easy" like a few days after release because they will probably be clearing a very small area and only killing like one pack or a rare mob spawn and farming chests or some crap.
People always bullshit. Some dude on twitch was like "lol wiz op, bought gear for 2m gold on ah and can farm t6 easy" and i spent like half an hour arguing with him basically telling him that he is bullshitting. His argument was that he kites with 200k toughness... I told him that some elite affixes will rape him, he got mad and left the stream eventually.
Don't believe all the trolls.

You can try a build that i've been running for a while which is a combination of your orbital bombardment and arcane torrent. Basically, arcane orbit is on your right click and AT is on your left click. Teleport with calamity into pack of mobs, start AT'ing everything... cast arcane orbit when all the orbs explode. Manercookie, i'd be interested to see you record a mother run and compare the xp per hour. I heard that it can be a lot higher than cota.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I don't think they nerfed it yet (not sure if they will either) but it's not a bad run. Personally, i think that running a full act instead of like 30 core runs is a lot better. Core can spawn 1 shrine, 1 goblin, 3 elite packs, 1 rare mob, and 3-7 normal chests afaik so yeah it's pretty good. Another area that is quite similar is the Rakkis crossing. It has 1-7 chests, 1-3 champ packs, 0-2 events with a rare monster and tons of trash mobs. Not 100% sure about those numbers but it's something along those lines. Some people hate to run the Rakkis crossing cuz it's a graphically intensive area and might cause some fps drops on certain computers.Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

Wow i just saw this thread right now. Good job Bagstone!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I don't know if this is relevant here but the monk's animations were finally fixed so now the monk actually hits with the weapons he is holding.
Also, whenever you gain a paragon level above 100 you will get the "new portrait unlocked" message even though there's no new portrait.
The vota map has been completely changed and it no longer spawns champs / elites in the density it used to. Not sure about the waypoint.
Cota was not nerfed or changed. It's just that at t6 trash mobs give a lot of xp and in cota you got a lot of skeletons. You basically skip the elites when running t6. It's the most effecient way.

I had like 5 legendaries drop from trash mobs since 2.0 patch hit live. It's very rare from what i can see but it definitely happens from time to time.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

My point still stands. You don't see barb players experimenting around too much because they are trying to make their old ww rend build work again (and it does). You are so butthurt and blaming it on me. Your post is ridiculous. As if it's the first time something gets fixed / nerfed in d3. Also, there's a passive called unforgiving.Quote from Strafir
Awesome of you to dismiss something without giving a single reason for it. Literally everything costs the same except now you don't have a steady income of fury unless you constantly take damage. Barbs remain as the single fcking class in the game that actually loses their resource over time when everyone else generates it.Quote from Jamoose
I still think that having perma wotb for over a year has a lot to do with it. I don't think you are right about the "without rethinking the costs and functionality of abilities" part.Quote from Strafir
People are entitled to be pissed off when the higher ups decide to remove fundamental mechanics of a class without rethinking the costs and functionality of abilities. I wholeheartedly agree that things got way out of hand, but all these changes will accomplish is a mass migration of barbarians to wizards and crusaders.Quote from Jamoose
Not negative but gnerally pissed off... I mean, you see people playing the other classes experimenting with all the new stuff, and the Barbarians are doing nothing but whinnig about how they took their precious ww and infinite wotb away. Other classes are experimenting with cool down reduction specs and different combinations of skills and items... I haven't seen one barb with a mass cdr build using ground stomp for an example... Barbs have been spoiled for too long and seriously, it's fucking lame how people whine.
Knowing how slowly the diablo team works this might be the best thing for the class since going from the most played class to the least played class in a matter of weeks speaks much louder than biased player feedback.
With costs this high on a class where most abilities heavily multiply weapon damage you're basically forced to use two-handers and the only way to play in groups properly is to not have a single fury dump on your bars. Does cooldown reduction have magical properties that aren't mentioned in the tooltip or why would you even come with a ridiculous suggestion like that?
