posted a message on New HC player advice - Thanks!

Nowadays HC is piece of cake, not much difference from SC U just running little lower rifts - just be more cautious, more tanky and always use fail-safe skill in case of lags. Also collect backup gear in case of death. For fast lvling and other stuff join communities. For builds check diablofans and leaderboards... and that's all.

Good luck and c u around.

    P.S.

On HC there is less stupidity than on SC - for obvious reasons, but some have to learn hard way ;)

I don't really remember what he talked about at Blizzcon, trying to forget it even happened  . Wasn't the the cube recipe something like remove the power from the cube and putting it back on the item. That would fall under "infusion" by my meaning of the word. I hope it's not, because I really like the idea of adding one items power to another. It would open huge build options, especially if you could also add them to set items.

Perhaps i'm wrong, but i recall smth like; they said they were thinking about it... but decided against it or for future consideration

    more CDR more LTK ;)

ofc there are many playstyles but CDR always will be better than RCR especially for speeds and in gr. When u feel u have more CDR than u need it u can always switch zodiac to other ring (eg. F+R) or roll dmg into rings, gloves, shoulders, weapons or even vit/loh what u feel u need the most.

Theres always gogok - so there are many ways for min-maxing.

However, easiest way to do t13 under 4 min is doing it in the group ;)

or just go to public game and do it in 4

    regarding tips above

    1. rubbish

2.yep rather fire then phys. soj (fireballs are main dmg dealer)

    3. u can try roll ad when u dont need so much cdr (more cdr more mana=dmg from blinding flash and epiphany)

    4. agility only when u die to often

    5. NDE like above and Exalted soul or momentum should be changed it depends what u feel u need the most

    6. in-geom only in groups solo u wont kill packs fast enough to keep its uptime in most locations

also u can try to roll ad in shoulders or even cdr ad rcr

Well, as u've stated, u're still missing on paragons & gear (rolls on amy, rings, life on helmet, sec resist&life on belt etc.). Lvling gems little more. Some trade-offs for pushing are also worth consideration; eg. coe instead of unity, %dmg or as instead of loh on at least one fist. Perhaps gogok instead of stricken, blind instead of cyclone - theres always a space for experimentation.

Followers gear either templar or enchantress (thunderfurry with ruby for both, wyrdward instead of unity or occulus, freeze of deflection shield, ess of johan amy at least for templar).

And there's always factor of RNG of GR as main problem ;)

as above - more sec. res., more life - 600k its little bit low., craft ancient crimson and born and even amulet (vit is more important than dex). u can also change chant of resonance to 6th sense or even nde if u die too often.

In-geom imho isnt the best option in cube, as u would hardly any (at least in high gr) kill packs every 10 sec.

exactly when u "stick" to the middle of the mobs waiting for them to expolde it doesn't give u much, but when ure on the run - and thats what speed grifitng is about. it can give u more dmg boost than any other gem. As swk monk ur job is to place ep not killing the mobs as ur dmg besides ep is rather low.

after few tweaks 980k lps and 62% cdr on full exp. With Laws its impossible to run full xp so corwn must be dropped. Nontheless, with max rolls on all ancient gear 1200k is achievable.

p600 with nowadays power creep u meant ;) not so long ago when someone had p600 that meant he was exprienced enough and had decent enough gear for staying alive. U can get sufficient ancient gear to stay alive in 60', which alows u do finish rifts perhaps not in speed maner but still, within a week playing moderatly, long before reaching p600 but what u're doing with this, well people's invention has no boundary ;) Skill and experience also matters. I've seen people with p 400 which were more beneficial to the team than those with p900.

just as example, today i was running as healer with swk monk on pubilc, there were many uliana monks, i think 5th in the row was the first to change rune on ep to physical on his own. Before him, although we were asking or even explaining why, here was no chance for change. Not to mention what strange things some of them have rolled into their gear - all were p600+.

Besides, after today i think theres no point in playing exp/heal on public thus switching that char to swk and playing generator/u6 on another. theres so many exphealers or as it was called last season exp leechers (most euphemistically) that switching between games to do one rift in half an hour is really anoying.

We deviated from the topic a little bit so returning back to the subject; I've played today with dragon in the cube and i must say when it proc often its bis when u use generator. however, when in doesn't it can be arguable it is really so much better.

    P.s.

beeing ytuber obviously has its merits as people mostly are unwilling to listen to any explanations... unless u have 2,3x more paragons ;)

i've checked - on full exp its little above 950k but with laws of seph variation it goes to ~ 1160k. LPS aswell on every item, all ancient exept rings. Gizzard is only 64.

as im not using epiphany i dont need so much cdr - theres always some trade off. i've been to 68 highest so far and im not going to push above 70. thats just not my ambition.

In case of survavibility, as I said, moratorium solves the problem even during lags. In fact as i stated before i decided to use it just because of this season lags . If it wasnt for that i would use toxin or gogok. Previously i wasnt even using NDE.

Yes, I've been kicked from games not only as healer and even below 60 for not strickly keeping to the point what quinn said (I've been playing as monk since vanilla and its about 2,5k h so far on monks only. So i hope i know what im doing ;).

People are becoming braindead; just copy+paste builds no matter of team composition, gr depth or even gear. People willing to play only in "perfect" team composition, even on T10 are also not so rare (funny thing this kind of behaviour mostly ocurs among mid range paragon lvl). It wasnt so to that extend, it has started last season, but its a kind of another story.

All deaths I've seen so far on hc (including mine - none this season hopefully) was due to lags, disconnects or just stupidity in that precise order. It's really hard to die with healer around. However, this is also another story.

Ragarding En-jang-do i dont know if thats best option i just havent found better one yet. Ive started using it last season as off-hand weapon and I got used to it. In next few days when i find time Ill try Hexers dragon variation. With his paragon lvl He definitely should know what he is doing.

Well, I mentioned mallet lords just because Mikhail did. Personally. I also dont have problems wtih mallets (at least at 60' i havent been to 70' but im playing hc) as im sitting with 1,7 mil life with 950-1200k regen on exp. NDE so far procs. twice; once due to lags second time i was standing i 5 explosions. 3 isnt a problem, 4 i havent tried yet ;)

Ive also metnioned ice climbers just as an option.

Ive started to using moratorium this season due to lags - its just kind on safety valve and i think once or two it saved my team from dying. Similarly Im using dashing strike as safty valve or just because im used to it (yep muscle memory). Theres some trade of in that case. I decided to ditch epiphany for that as on 58% CDR neither without gogok nor zodiac (as playing full xp i go for leorics) its little bit low for keeping epiphany uptime and forbiden palace is more beneficial for the team.

Besides this im running very similar setup to Hexer's with the difference that i put illuspry boots in cube and crown one the head. I used to wear desire or pull amulet but since ive got nacient hellfire with NDE VIT, CDR and LPS and almost max secodnary res i ditched them.

I have to give second try to dragon in cube for even more cyclon spam but so far im using eun-jang do as i find it most useful for the team.

Moreover as monks are not block chance class i dont find investing in block as good idea.

Also as we are talking about perfect rolls its good to have globes bonus everywhere its possible.

u can also drop vigilance which procs. not really often (at least for 50'-60') for eun-jang do for better crowd and bosses handling. And as u have dashing strike illusory boots its just waste of slot in cube - crown above all; or if wanna be more tanky put ice climbers and put croodest boots into cube. Also as u have problems with mallet lords etc. change bott for moratorium (practically immortality). Only slow from bott definietly isnt worth a slot.

to make that story short & sweet xp monks are seasonal phenomenon - where u have given time to grind as many paragons as u can. Wearing xp gear outside seasons it's somehow dumb but there's much more wierd stuff going on in this game ;) Moreover beyond certain point, let say paragon 600-700, u can reconsider if it's better to go with xp gear and do GF ~50 or leave it and go for ~60 as better support.

I still think using wuko as support monk is not the best way as u are sacrificing support potential for not much dps in support setup overall.

At the end of the day isn't it all for just for fun - for some it will be dps whereas for others support ;)

blast wind has also aoe but only in front - its all about positionig. i spam cs every 1-2 sec. even without gogok i have 60-65 cdr depending on config so intervals between epiphany and sanctuary are unnoticeable - however ive never measured them. So is debatable if theres really a need for zodiac. Of course it using zodiac allows to drop gogok for other gem but i havent tested it. As for now i still think attack speed and plain cdr are better than selective one from zodiac.

mobs and minions goes down very fast to that 20% and than with aoe and cs they are not an issue anymore.

Issues with dmg recieved as well as gr level is dependable mostly from ur team dps - so how long u have to tank.

U have never mentioned way of usage of ep as above - in your way actually there couldnt be any issues with mana.

taking into account all those stats why not changing resolve to unity for more team boost? On gr60 dps classes would die easily even with resolve.

Anyway, have checked ally effects with boots and without - i still think its not worth to use them over crimson, however switching infused with light or ds (not on hc) to ally with inna's bonus could be. More less difference between one or two allies is about 20%.

in fact u can still put on these boots on with inna and crimson with the expense of crown or other hat and belt.

Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary

but with crimson u have more cdr and rcs and i didnt find benefit from croodest boots better.

also arcane is the only affix where i see some dmg i can also stay in any other even explosions to some extend arent much treat.

with Eun-Jang-do any mobs or minions arent an issue anymore but i prefer it with born for cdr and exp. And still find wind blast more consitent although it demands better positioning.

still i cant believe that u can maintain mana spamming cyclone and ep - somehow u must save on one or another ;)

First things first (skills) - i don't find near death necessary unless u play hc and even though ure not supposed to die until 50. Guardians Path is imho better choice or even unity when u play in organized group.

I personally prefer windblast over tsunami (although i know its more popular) for more mana and more constant effect on packs and bosses. It demands better positioning but...

Also I dont think u will be able to sustain mana with two spenders on high gf - so drop ep for blinding speed (better maneuverability and more toughness) and leave mana for cyclone strike spamming. Accordingly I prefer cold blast (for extra effect) over implosion - bigger range isn't much bonus whilst ure spamming cyclone strike and repositioning.

I also find infused with light better in refilling mana than ally, even with inna's bonus (i don't use crudest boots - but about gear later) and it gives little healing as well.

About gear - 3p inna (belt, armour, stone), 2p. Crimson (boots, pants), 2p. born (shoulder, sword), frostburn gloves. U can also switch frostburns for inna's and use leoric crown or strings, cdr or rcr belts depending on stats (don't remember names right now ;). As a second ring i find rue chambers best in slot (even more mana). I've tested zodiac - and the problem is it only affects one skill at the time, more likely second to go and with cdr u already got theres not much bonus from it. For amulet i would choose count julia as i find lasers most damaging. I find myself very often tanking in the centre of bunch of them. Any other resist is also good. Eye too, especially with both secondary reduction, but as i've noticed ranged enemies will most likely target other players so theres not much use in range reduction whilst playing in team. Ess of johann could be also useful. As u're support theres no use in rainment.

As for the weapons my choice is born, Eun-Jang-do, sledge is also good and even butchers sickle in lack of others. The best imho would be sledge, Eun-Jang-do but as i haven't found nothing better for shoulders so i prefer born bonus overall. I know theres wide utilisation of in-geom as a second weapon but i dont think theres much use of it on high gr. In affixes dex cdr and loh over dmg or socket. there's also no need for shield.

And finally the gems - gogok, esoteric and toxin. gizzard or mutilation could be also good but i don't think there's need for so much toughness. I haven't tested iceblink so far as well i haven't reach gr beyond 50 so my choices applies to 49 - from my experience.

The rest more likely the same.
