My only problem with this is trading. How will we trade besides the spam affiliated Chat Channels? At least in Diablo 2, and even Diablo 1 you could create a game that was searchable through a lobby where the host was able to put what trade they wanted "2x Sojo 4 Shako" etc. I've played 900 hours+ on PC, and a good 200 or so on Console so far, and although yes the loot is nice on Console, I feel like my drops really don't matter except for self progression, after I am done or outgrew the item there's nothing to do with it but drop, or destroy it, vendor values are too low to even think of selling anything besides magic, and even they are better salvaged. there is no real way to trade items except with friends, and the only friends I have that play with me are so close in relation we just give the item(s) to each other freely. There's no real value to anything, there's no market, no real way to sell, or buy something you've been looking for. You just have to spend all the time yourself to get the items.
Sure, playing the game, great! But there's legendaries, and rare items for a reason. Diablo has always been about gear, but its always also mostly been a cooperative game with a market. I feel like there should be an easier way to trade, and please just open up all acts so we can manuever through the game IN a game, and not have to exit to lobby every time.

Not really sure if anyone had high expectations regarding Itemization. It's become a standard where everyone hopes for better, with putting a limit on their expectations or excitement. No one wants to be disappointed and although I love this game and Blizzard, it's come to be a thing with this.

My DH is well geared, but cannot last long in 5+. Rendering anything over that useless. I have other level 60 characters, but no where near as good. So for that I don't agree. I do understand that it's for Public games, not Private games. But there are those who don't have a ton of friends on all the time.Posted in: News
You should be able to select different "tiers" of multi-player in the main lobby, so when you go to try to get in public games, it'll match you up with someone based on your tier choice. (Ex. Tier 1 MP level 1-3. Tier 2. MP level 4-6. Tier 3. 7-10). Yeah, less games will be existing in each category, but all in all people will get what they want. -

Seriously? By looking at your posts I would say that you haven't even finished nightmare on Diablo 2... Come on, nightmare/Hell on Diablo 3 are way easier (save for a few packs) than Diablo 2. The really hard stuff only starts at inferno Act 2.Quote from Olden Soul
Lmao, no. I bought this game because I've patiently waited 11 years to play it because I've been playing since the release of Diablo 1. I am complaining because they were in development for so long, and only now they are removing and balancing. I love Diablo, I love the lore, and I love the style of the game, but I simply cannot accept or condone Blizzards actions on how they are handling
Let me guess, you play softcore. It took me under 15 hours on hardcore to beat d2 on a ladder reset, still not done with hell on hardcore at around 50 hours on d3( to be fair, part of it was mfing gear for lower characters), either way, d3 is way harder if you play hardcore.
I will never play Hardcore on this game due to it being only online, and my internet is not stable. I've died quite a few times because I lagged while fighting mobs. I loved Diablo 2 hardcore, but with Diablo 3 my computer and internet just doesn't agree, also I seem to die a lot easier on D3. I am refusing to use the Auction house for the time being, and most of the time I play solo, save for the few times my friends randomly join my game.
There are too many ways to get backed up into the corner with no escape route, potions are worthless most of the game with the cool-down timer. I've been walled, and then nightmared into a corner and died without even being able to do anything before. I'm not saying that hardcore isn't hard, it actually is and takes a lot more conservative skill.
My main point is that the game is more frustrating over pleasurable if you are playing to play, and not in it for competition or racing to the top. I've died 14 or so times in 20 minutes on my level 46 Demon hunter while trying to get through act 3 on Nightmare, and I would not say my gear or play-style is outdated, there are just really buffed elites out there.
I see very few positive updates, but many nerfing, and removing things that were just fine being there. Just because I am not past nightmare doesn't give my opinion any less, or any more effect, I recognize that it will be a lot harder, that's not my point. It's already a difficult game, it already has its time consumption, and it already has its appeal. Fix the bugs, balance the play-style, and leave the game as is. -

I've been a part of beta since October of last year. So I know how much they have done. My only problem with it is the fact they are negatively impacting the game. It doesn't need to be harder, just balanced. If people are having problems with Inferno, inferno is broken not the characters, and making them weaker and less effective is definitely not fixing anything. -
Jun 15, 2012Olden_Soul posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 Unofficial ChangesIt's not that I am not playing right, it's that I don't have the time to sit there and farm for items, I do not like how this game is all about gear, that's important, but it shouldn't the main thing. All I see is negative updates, removing this and that, nerfing that, taking away this because it's not how 'they' want the game to be played. This should have all been done before the release, because the game at release WAS the game to me, now everything being done afterwards is just them removing things.Posted in: News

Jun 15, 2012Olden_Soul posted a message on Patch 1.0.3 Unofficial ChangesWhy...Posted in: News
Why do I continually see negative updates for this game? I keep trying to play, and can barely make it past nightmare with soloing and not using Auction house. And they keep making it more difficult and unattractive, and I am a hardcore diablo fan since the beginning. Stop making a more difficult game, more difficult! It's getting tot he point where it isn't even fun anymore just hours spent between working, the girlfriend, and then trying to progress just a little.
I don't mean to sound negative, but that's all I see coming from you, Blizzard. Stop it. -

Apr 27, 2009Olden_Soul posted a message on Diablo 3 Difficulty LevelsDoesn't have to be 99.9% impossible, just a bit more difficult.Posted in: News
Diablo 2's Hell difficulty was somewhat easy, depending on what character gear you had. For elite gear, the game was to easy. For even some spell casters, the game was to easy because of the immense damage done per spell cast.
And the Bowazon was just a waste of time to be honest, really all it was good for was Normal and Nightmare difficulties, sometimes PVP. It's not the difficulties problem, it was the lack of damage and defense for the bowazon - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

If they already are using labor and expenses to further update the game, they should do so which would increase profit along with popular demand. Other companies have realized this too. Bethesda, Bioware, Jagex, etc. They are starting to realize that consumers drive this industry forward and without them their game is essentially hemorrhaging money.
They would gain far more profit to create skills or items, then they would if they made randomization, Paragon, changed how monster affixes worked or make the game quote on quote "easier".

To the same degree I say this, WHY do things have to be limited to certain genres? Just because it was used in one game or what type of game doesn't mean it cannot be used in another. They are not trade-marked to the genre, just like fighting enemies is in any type of RPG, but also in First Person Shooters, and even smaller arcade titles. No one should consider anything limited to a certain genre. I hate that mentality. That's basically being stereotypical in a non-personified way.

My input on this matter is this. Why be limited to such? Why does it have to be about, and driven solely by loot, why would anyone want to take a great name franchise and limit it at every turn? Sure, I've played Diablo 1, and Diablo 2 way back when they were freshly created. I've seen what they have become, what they have accomplished. As time goes on, and as life and technology progresses, so to does the desires and taste of the community. Not only that, the gaming industry grows larger with each passing day, week and month.
If there is the ability, and the desire to see something happen, why not to do it? Is it because of the fact of "This design isn't meant to be in a Action RPG" Who stated that, and where does such a rule exist. Why not have survival dungeons, better PVP, even skills like collecting, gathering, cooking like an MMO would have? By suggesting this I'm not saying I want them implemented, my point I wish to get across is where did all of this limiting talk come from? Great the majority of the game is about slaying demons and finding loot, awesome! Sounds fun, but oh, there's something more besides the bloodshed and repetitive? Even better!

Either way, after I lost connection I just logged off and did other stuff.

The ratio of rare items used in slots as opposed to Legendaries is gross, I thought they wanted to make it so that Legendaries were not a one stop for every slot. And the amount of "non crap" legendaries is low. I have so many Brimstones because of my unlocky rolls, or just finding items like "The Dark Shade" Or "The Tormentor". White items are crap. Blue items are crap. 90% of rares are crap. and most legendaries are crap.
I like your affix/suffix idea too.

It's hard to take sides on this matter, because my account has been compromised years back on Diablo 2, and Blizzard did nothing for me albeit it was my own stupidity that let me to go to a third-party site which put my account at risk just on a friend's simple request. It was 'my' fault and I am the only one who can control if I get scammed, and how.
If there was someway of 'rolling back' while replacing the items lost for whatever reason, to use the same item ID to make it so upon recovering the item, the original where-ever it may be would be destroyed, thus recovering the item to its proper state and owner, as intended.

If you're having trouble with MP1 on ACT 2, can try doing it on Act 1, see if that helps any, or bump back down to MP0 until furthering your gear.

Fiance runs well with Diablo 3, and many other games with an i5 - 3.3 GHZ.

For this, as my experience with a Demon Hunter. It's because their survivability is low, and to farm effectively they need to be in a group where not everything is aggro to just them. I've paid a lot for my gear, with 450+ all resist, decent armor rating, and 44k health along with 116k DPS, and my solo runs still take twice as long as they would in Multi-player. That's not to say its not possible, just takes way too long.
