I mean they've had plenty of chances to assume power, and example would be the Great Depression. People were so distraught and desperate they would've gone for ANYTHING. I'm not denying that maybe big business and corporations have a little more influence than we realize, but to go as far as saying that ultra rich super societies are one day going to take over the world is a bit foolish in my opinion.
I'm not referring to New World Order as some secret society taking over the world. I'm talking about one world wide government, rather than 100's of governments across the world. The Great Depression has nothing to do with this.
Oh my apologies for misinterpreting what you were trying to say. But the GD (Great Depression, c wut i did ther) still is a completely relevant scenario for this whole "one world government" thing to play out. If the OWG (2 TIMES IN ONE POST) was going to arise then the GD would have been a stellar time to, ya dig?

personally I think the party system in Amercia is dumb people here in the U.S think there are only Democrats and Republicans...and they basicly brainwashed everyone into thinking that.

There's been a two-party system in America since its inception, they've just gone under different names. When the constitution was being written, there was a huge debate about whether government should have much oversight into the lives of people and that debate still goes on today; it's not as much "brainwashing" as it is "generational conditioning", in my opinion.

I would love to see a third party come up and change things, like the Green Party, but I don't ever see that happening.

Personally, I root for the Green Party, but I usually end up going for Democrats because, let's face it, the Green Party gets hardly enough press coverage and, like most grassroots parties, have a fringe following. I guess I'm left of center as far as political followings and ideals go. It's familiar territory for me. I won't go into detail as to why that is (I'm considering making another politics thread, but I don't know if that'll fly without some big flame war or argument coming up).
This third party you speak of will either be the "Tea Party" (which imo, are no different from the Republican'ts) or the Libertarian party. I really hope it is the Libertarian Party, if we had a Libertarian for president, shit would get done

Did you hear about the 7 corporate fat cats that "gamble" with our tax money with no consequences for themselves, and a lot to gain? Yeah think about that one. These 7 douche bags in ties created this whole fucking economic mess because they wanted to make a few billion more dollars by buying and selling stocks with our taxes. If I was in the same room as those seven, well, they wouldn't be breathing anymore, let's put it that way.
Or it was caused by reckless spending and corporate greed. I honestly do not think it was caused by just seven people, all of the large corporations simply spent more money than they had causing the huge economic downturn.

I remember I believed in this kind of stuff... when I was 12. Honestly if there were some sort of "secret societies" like the Illuminati, they would have been exposed/risen to power long ago.

The casualties and damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami is in no way comparable to the atomic bombs that dropped during WWII. The earthquake has caused, at most, around 20,000 deaths and destroyed towns. The atomic bombs caused a total of around 240,000 and destroyed two major cities. Not to mention that the firebombing campaign carried out by the US destroyed at least have of every Japanese city and caused upwards of 400,000 additional casualties. The recent earthquake, although terrible and disastrous, in no way is as bad as Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Also, a volatile economy is not a good thing.

Yes, I do believe that they will rebuild and persevere.
    America... Fuck yeah.

    Too soon?

CoD has gone to the shitter since CoD4. They could have just released new maps with some new weapons and you would have the game game. Battlefield is more realistic too, which is a plus. You HAVE to play as a team and communicate in order to win. Plus the Battlefield community is all around a lot more mature than CoD's. Not as many 12 year olds playing battlefields cause "ther iznt attak dawgs >:|"

    1) Being mentally retarded and not knowing it because the disease affects my perception. I think about this on a regular basis.
I think about that sometimes, it's more of a "what if" thing to me than fear though.

My only irrational fear I can really think of is of bugs... I fuckin hate those damn ugly slimy tiny worthless pieces of trash.

    That is all
