posted a message on Incoming changes to DH (discussion)

My thoughts from what we know so far:

Taeguk: I never really liked the way it played. Felt kinda clunky. Will i miss the lacking damage & toughness? Heck yes! I guess it just depends on how other gems might get changed.

UE and Shadow (on paper) damage doubled? No chance this will happen.

Playing the Shadow Set atm and am really loving the playstyle. But the suggested sledgehammer method of buffing the set will not help the essential issues the set imho currently has. It is too much single target damage while completely lacking any area damage. I really would like to see the 6pc bonus to be changed to something like "Impale deals an additional 30000% weapon damage to the first enemy hit and dealing XXX% area damage / improving your Area hit chance by XX% / increasing your Attack Speed by XX%" (one of the three)
Furthermore i think the synergy with Impale and Karleis Point should be reworked. Either by changing the legendary affix of the dagger or by altering the Impale runes if Blizzard really wants to "preserve diversity" (Nevalistis) with that skill. Which is simply not given atm. You are pretty much forced to use the lighting rune in order to keep your hatred halfway in check.

Plus as i have mentioned in another thread i would love to see the "Archery" Passive to be reworked to take melee weapons into account. Just add 50% Area Damage for melee weapons and the skill will be an alternative for S6 players.

    Cheers

70 is easily doable. You both are lacking Area Damage which should be one of you #1 stat priorities.

posted a message on Suggestion - slight rework of the "Archery" Passive

    Hey folks,

as we all know with patch 2.4 DHs now can make use of melee weapons. This probably has not been taken into account when

Blizzard originally desinged the class and its skills. The game has changed and thus many skills have been reworked / altered.

Unfortunately some of them have been untouched ever since. The Archery passive being one of them. So why not give this

passive a slight overhaul to represent the current game mechanics.

    Current "Archery" passive:

    Archery

Gain a bonus based on your weapon type:
    Bow: 8% increased damage
    Crossbow: 50% Critical Hit Damage
Hand Crossbow: 5% Critical Hit Chance
2nd Hand Crossbow: 1 Hatred per Second

    Change to:

    Weapons Expertise

Gain a bonus based on your weapon type:
    Bow: 8% increased damage
    Crossbow: 50% Critical Hit Damage
Hand Crossbow: 5% Critical Hit Chance
2nd Hand Crossbow: 1 Hatred per Second
    Melee weapons: 50% Area Damage

The name change simply because sword and/or dagger are hardly archery weapons. And the bonus itself would be a 100% in

line with the crossbow and hand crossbow bonus, both representing the bonus one gets through Paragon Points. Plus it would

greatly synergize with the builds melee weapons are used for atm.

    Comments? Ideas?

posted a message on Archery passive & daggers

    Hey everyone,

i have been toying around with the new shadow impale build the last couple of days and after i got the hang of it

its been a blast. Since i like testing things with builds (what works best for me and so on) i realized that the

Archery passive does not affect daggers at all. Which are required for this build.

Sure the name "Archery" suggests that his is a ranged weapons passive. But since we can now use daggers to

deal ranged damage as well, i thought Archery might affect daggers in some way. Does anybody have some

informations about that? Has there been some official word on it?

Welcome to console where either you play with trusted friends or you play alone.

@OP: This sadly is true. (And about the only qualified reply in this thread)

But its still a lot of fun. Just play with ppl you know and you will still have a blast. Plus you might want to check the official console subforums. Couple of threads there with a list of legit players.

Unfortunately public games on the XBone are really a no go. Dont EVER make your game a public one or else some retard with cheated gear will join. Sad as it is: If you want to play it fair you wll need to solo or in group with ppl in your FL only. 800+ paragons here, 99% of the time solo. Guess i know what im talking about ;)

posted a message on Gear for followers

Main purpose of the follower is making your life easier and helping you stay alive a little longer. I honestly have never used the Scoundrel on any of my characters. I used to go with the Templar for a long time but recently changed to the Enchantress for my Carndoc because her CC abilities imho outweight the Templar heal and resource regen.

    For the equipment:
    Focus:
Smoking Thurible - Follower cannot die, no brainer, must have

    Rings:
Oculus Ring - natural AS roll of up to 9% with the appropriate enchant up to 16%, plus the area of focused power can give you a sweet DPS boost for a short time
Wyrdward - has a 35%-40% chance to stun enemies for 1.5 when being attacked with lightning, proccs your BotT gem

    Weapon:
Thunderfury - Lightning damage, used to procc Wyrdwarm ring

    Amulet:
The Ess of Johan - Chance to pull enemies towards target making sweet "NUKE ME" enemy clumps

As for the enchants you want to stock as much AS and as much CDR as possible thus your follower can use his abilities more often. For the Templar you might want to use Freeze of Deflection as a shield to freeze enemies.

    Skills:
Charm, Disorient, Missle Ward, Mass Confusion (i like the latter over 3% IAS, makes life soo much easier)

Hope that helped a bit :)

Great job as always Wudijo. Very much appreciated. :)

Sadly though the lightning version of this build including Fulminator in the cube wont really work for us console players. You simply cannot use the sword in the cube. For whatever reason. I hope that gets fixed rather sooner than later.

Man. Jealous ;) ... Keep that lady. Its pretty much perfect. I run BM on my Carndoc HF too. GR 61 clear. You just need to make sure you deal poison dmg. Which should not be an issue with Acid Cloud.
