posted a message on Blizzard is ramping up efforts, yet another Banwave on US Servers

Blizzard's banwaves are clearly not enough.

These cheaters, not just in D3, but in alot of other games need to be dealt with more harshly. It should also carry fines not to exceed 10,000 dollars and 10 years in prison. These vermin scumbags should be held in the same regard as pedophiles. That way, the prison inmates will rape and torture them, scarring them emotionally for life. Once released from prison, they'll become social outcasts, unable to get a job and become poor. They then can live in skid row in a cardboard box. Dogs will come by and pee on them. They will smell and become whinos and beg food at the homeless shelters.

All of this could of been prevented if they just would of read the D3 ToS and abided by it and not have cheated. They never prosper.

    @ Shapookya...

Looks like one of 2 things. You either just hate D3, or you are just totally clueless as to what makes a good game. Wait, 3 things...you may also be bad mouthing anything having to do with Blizzard and their games because it seems like the thing to do. I see alot of that on gaming forums.

"Yup, leaderboards stand in the way of the future of the game"...leaderboards are vital to this game. People enjoy the challenge of pushing and want to see the results displayed. I'm sure other incredibly popular games like LoL or Overwatch have something similar. It would not be possible with the infinite ceiling GRs. They are perfectly suited. The Metas are necessary for the high rifts and awesome! Last nite I was grouped with 3 wizards on my zmonk. It was all i could do to keep them and myself alive as we progressed, finishing GR90s in 10 minutes. One Wiz dropped and a barb joined. We then zoomed through smoothly in 5 minutes. It was a blast. All of us joking and having fun. Without the above the game indeed would then die. Why even play?

D3 has some of the most incredible build diversity i've ever seen in any game. There are the different classes, all with various builds used in different stiuations. All of which can be changed, tweaked, and experimented with to no end. It also is what keeps people coming back for more.

If the game is "dead," why are there people playing 24/7? I can log on any time of day or nite, any day of the week, and i'm not even in a clan! I find games in seconds!! If its "dead," why is Blizzard patching it, improving it, adding content to it? Incredibly cool content i might add....the cube, the armory for example. Countless little quality of life improvements. The newest patch forthcoming, 2.5.0 is prob one of their best patches yet.

    Long live Diablo 3!

followers got no set like you have (or lon), no convention, no traveller/compass, focus/restraint, other multipliers from passives, skills or items, leg. gems, .... the list goes on...

your follower does absolutely no dmg, trust me. it's not 1/15 more like 1/100,000

and on top they mostly attack with no skill at all (base attack)

    xD

go for IAS and CDR with the proper useful items like mentioned in this thread

you missed the point of my post. the "1/15th" was just to illustrate how the follower's damage pales in comparison to your own. its to the point of being negligeable at best. we all know that. where you are wrong is saying they have none.like what's already been said here numerous times, if given the opportunity to add damage to them WITHOUT forsaking their useful stats, then why not? they most certainly do "SOME" damage. build your follower for all damage and watch them solo rifts. granted, it might take the a week to finish one at T1. put it to hard difficulty and watch them plow thru it!!!

May not of been clear on the point i was making. chasing ANY kind of damage on a follower is just not practical. what i meant was...IF...you wind up with an open slot on a weapon after AS and CDR. that said, for damage, thorns is best. it will damage all around the follower and often he is mobbed (ess of johan).

To put this in perspective, i long ago thought goose up follower damage. its bound to at least help. after squeezing out max damage on him, he stood at like 240k damage. I now have 3.7 million. my follower with a build like that would do 1/15th my damage. that's sheet of course, but its still relative.

    great suggestion here!

I would add that when you have the chance to add damage in the form of a socket on your weapon, that you use a topaz gem. it provides a fixed amount of thorns damage. that will far outweigh any benefit from a ruby (str). 220 str or whatever the amount is laughable on a follower. CDR and AS being the only real benefits.

Thanks much for the reply and the good tips

Its mainly a dps issue. i just cant seem to get past 52. i lack the dps to get the RG down in time. i realize the rng involved and how it directly relates in how high you can go, It just seems that even with fishing for a good rift, i'd only squeeze out a 53.

I've incorporated your suggestion for ignore pain over overpower. I had been running string of ears, but i swapped in pride of cassius to go with it. i've replaced berzerker rage with BoBK and replaced weapon master with nerves of steel; finishing passives with ruthless and rampage. I have also started using swords to ploughshares with reapers wraps.

I have 20% cdr with helm and para. i kept ias on both weapons to achieve a higher BP, but thinking greater up time on WotB may have been the way to go. i'm currently trying to replace shoulders that will have cdr and maybe elsewhere as well.

If a templar benefits from cdr, why doesn't it show up as a stat in his "details?"

    Greetings folks...

Immensely enjoying my barb, but having a bit of trouble getting any higher than low 50s (52 current highest). Is it my gear. build, or gameplay? If you knowledgeable people could take a gander at my setup and offer critique that might help my cause, i'd be eternally grateful!
