posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#dhcYie!ZWg!aZYZaY

I tried to style my witch doctor after moses. Unfortunately i couldnt represent all the plagues but here is what i got, So the locust and toads are obvious, acid cloud symbolizes the hail and lightning plague, haunt symbolises the darkness and death plagues, Zombie dogs symbolises the infected livestock plague and the firebomb with pyrogeist symbolises the pillar of fire god sent down from heaven. With my passive spells i just picked them to add a little bit extra to my moses doctor.

but I have a friend on Steam whom I saw playing "Diablo III closed beta"

You know you can rename any application and play it through steam, i had a friend who renamed an application to "with himself" so that when he ran the program through steam it would say "person is playing with himself". plus if he did get it i doubt you would bother running it through steam anyway.

posted a message on 7 Skills
Okay i think the witch doctor would be an awesome class and my 7 are:

    1. Plague of toads
    2. Locust swarm
    3. Haunt
    4. Acid Cloud
    5. Mass Confusion
    6. Wall of Zombies
    7. Spirit Walk(depends on usefulness, if useless ill go with fire bomb instead)

On a side note it would be interesting to see the rune effects on the movements. It would be cool if you could put a rune in spirit walk and leave a firewall behind you.

How can something be a little more effective and still give you a disadvantage? That doesn't really make sense.

Maybe i want the direct damage of the fireball over the lasting burn damage of the firewall, the only way this would be solved if the firewall did the same direct damage plus an ongoing burn damage as you said.

posted a message on Potential problem with runes
So the only skill i really saw a problem in was the wizard's hydra. It is one skill in about 5 that have been shown with rune effects so its not too big of a deal.

Anyway so with all but one the runes for the hydra skill are damage type changes. I dont know how the mechanics are going to work for the runes or for the firewall hydras. Hypothetically say though that i want fire hydras and i find that the fireball hydra is a little more effective in the way i want to use it than the firewall hydra. Will i be at a disadvantage cause i wont put a rune into the skill?

Again this is the only skill i saw the problem with.

I'm sure a simple rune in the skill will probably change the damage type. so it would be as simple as having a rune in your inventory to switch over to a different damage type. But yeh it was stated that there would be no full immunities.

To be honest i thought it was a sword myself. I was looking at the picture and noticed the light forcing the shadow of a clear object down onto the page then i realised the ol' "clear tac" shenanigan was in play.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news guys but...

We can see on the middle and right sheets that she has some kind of a sword in her hand and on her back

The so called sword on the right hand photo is actually one of the clear tacs that is holding up the picture, and the so called sword on the back in the middle picture is partly a shadow from that same tac. Last but not least the other so called sword on the left hand picture is also a tac.

    Sorry to burst the bubble.

posted a message on She almost get raped and doesn't care
The definition of rape is sexual intercourse without the other persons consent. What you are describing is more like sexual assault, which doesn't have to include sex, only sexual activities. At least these are the wikipedia definitions, if I'm reading it correctly. I'm pretty sure the latter can give jail, depending on how severe it is.

I come from australia and i am studying at a university whilst living on campus as part of our living on campus we have to attend this sexual assault talk. The guy who talked to us was a lawyer he said that rape is(something along the lines of cant remember exactly what he said)anyway he said by law rape is the penetration of any orifice by any object in a sexual manner. An example that he gave was he has talked to many guys who have fingered a girl without consent and get sent to jail for rape but this is australia and im not sure if its the same for anywhere else.

This clearly highlights that a Horadrim mage did not write this book. A Horadrim would not call his order cursed, and he would not refer to the Horadrim as "mortal". It suggests that a demon, or some other immortal being, has written this.

Im pretty sure that if your order was given the task of hunting down and capturing the prime evils you would think your order was cursed.

posted a message on Instability = Wizard's Resource
My view coincides with Ivaron the most so far. I think the Wizard resource may be to actually become unstable. I come to this conclusion by

    Quote:
It is those magics that this wizard seems determined to explore ? magics centered on manipulating the primal forces from which reality is constructed.
Therefore by the Wizard altering reality and corrupting; power builds more and more. This makes the most logical sense to me.

I can see where you get this idea from but your ignoring the fact that the Wizard might get a little in over his head when using spells that he or she cant handle. I see the wizard as an arrogant type of character, hence believe that the instability resource system will allow you to mash spells until becoming unstable and then having to do something else to bring your character back to stability.
