    There have been a lot of people in this forum (including myself) who have come up with concepts for classes (life steal and/or vit-based) like this. I see these come up so often that I really wish Blizz would consider it.


    However, like everyone else, you will get numerous posts about how this will cause imbalance issues, is not feasible, etc. That seems to happen every time I see a post like this also.

    I don't see how CyberDemon's example, except for life steal, which can be changed to life on hit and life on kill, wouldn't be feasible or cause imbalance issues.

    Here's a class Idea: The Heretic.


    The Heretic is an INT class that cuts his wrists to use his life as a resource and is heavily reliant on lifesteal. Spells include setting his blood on fire, enslaving demons, exploding heart spells, and demonic shapeshifting. Basically a bit of Druid and Necromancer with a unique and unsettling twist.

    This class idea sounds very interesting. If I understand you correctly it would be something like a melee/close range bloodmage? I have no idea if such a concept fits into the diablo-canon but I do love me some grisly melee mages.

    I myself feel like we are going to see a scenario centered around Inarius and/or Lilith who are, either together or not, trying to make Sanctuary heaven and hell "free" by creating some new sort of worldstone which keeps them from interfering with the place. Seeing as we will soon get a new area centered around the ruins of the barbarians capital, and the fact that the barbarians lost their purpose in life with the destruction off the Worldstone it makes sense if they will play a big part in all of this. Perhaps they have been united by one extremely powerful Nephalem who is under the influence of Inarius and/or Lilith and have prepared for some sort of world conquest while the player, and most of the world have been focused on the invasion of hell in the vanilla D3 and Malthael in RoS. A huge barbarian army, lead by might nephalems, will thus burts unto the scene from seemingly nowhere and conquering one mighty country after another. The only chance of salvation, somehow, lies in the hands of the Amazons on the Skovos Isles which the player will have to venture to. After they find what they are looking for, preferable an alliance with the amazons who are also now lead by powerful Nephalems, the player will turn towards defeating the barbarians by journeying to a new place which is the current location of their army. With the aid of the amazons you will then have to fight through the barbarian hordes untill you can get to and defeat the Nephalem in charge, perhaps even facing off against Inarius and/or Lilith at the end which will result in you either banishing them back to whatever place they where hiding in or handing s/he/them over to heaven/hell.


    My prefered new class for this expansion would be a sub-group of the druids who entirely focuses on shapeshifting. I love the idea of a shapeshifter who uses a different mainstat depending on what beast s/he turns into. Dexterity for a quick fighting werewolf who dualweilds daggers and fist weapons. Strength for a slow but hard hitting werebear who is all about 2 handed weapons. Intelligence for some kind of wereowl or werestag or some mixture of the two who uses spellcasting and quick movement to dish out damage from a distance. All the different were-variates would bring some good and interesting buffs/debuffs to the table.


    An amazon would be a good class aswell allthough I feel like that niche is already taken up by the DH, unless we get an amazon who is centered around throwing javelins and using spears/pikes. Such a class would mean that we'd get more use of shields as they would be either weilding a two handed pike or using a spear/javelin in one hand and a shield in the other.
