I did not play the beta and with the beast computer i have, i doubt i will have any issues regarding gameplay unless it is related to connection (Core i7, radeon 5450, TTR3 HD). One thing which decieved me a lot is seeing how this game is being noob-oriented. They took out one of the best feature that was in D2, weapon swapping. Blizzard justified taking out this feature by saying that newbs would be too confused with it. This totally pissed me off even to a point where i am reconsidering buying the game... If this game is newb oriented, i will look for another game and won't even bother buying D3. I don'T wan't 13 years old and under game... Since this game is full of blood, it should not be focused around 13 years old kid, really. Make the game for people 18+.
If the weapon swapping was the killer feature that made D2 awesome for you, you're doing it wrong.

I'm not a casual player... I have multiple toons at 60 on hardcore... =/
Both those mechanics are good ideas, but they aren't tweaked properly. Invulnerable Minions can at times be damn near next to impossible without kiting them for what seems like forever... and Reflects Damage can cause the same thing, where you have to kite thing around and wait for cooldowns/potion cooldowns.
Ah yes, the "casual player" thing. Where this random guy thinks it proves that he's good at the game because a mechanic requires him to run around like an idiot for five minutes to not die. Because that's "fun" and "challenging".

You don't come off as someone offering anything useful. It's just complaining... constant complaining. I even agree with you on a lot of stuff and I can't even side with you because of how you present arguments.
I agree Inferno is broken. I don't think as an end game system it's broken, I like the MF system and think it will be fun. But as a difficulty I think it's broken in that it's not necessarily too hard... but it's hard in a very frustrating way. Just having a giant gear check that makes you get constantly one-shot isn't a good system. But Blizzard knows that and they've already admitted they notice it.
I agree that items are a little broken right now as well. I liked Legendary (Unique) items being super powerful and awesome in Diablo 2. I think they are going to correct this so that they play a little bigger part in the game. But you also have to remember that Uniques weren't exactly the greatest things ever in Classic Diablo 2 either. It wasn't until LoD that Uniques became essential for most builds.
But these are things that are, IMO, easily fixable and they are things I think Blizzard recognizes and will take care of in a timely fashion. They aren't changes that can just be made overnight... but I think it'll be fixed up within a couple of months. If things don't change or get worst 2-3 months from now? Yeah, I'll be annoyed as well. But looking at it from a logical standpoint, it's difficult to expect them to release a perfect game right out of the gate.

This is how I feel. I actually really like Diablo 3. There are some flaws, sure. They need to fix Inferno difficulty wise, they need to fix up items a bit, there is some work to be done on the blacksmith costs and I'm sure they'll continue to need to balance classes.
But if you really dislike it that much and don't want to wait for Blizzard to fix some things up... then just don't play the game. If you don't think the game is good, don't spend your time on a forum about the game bitching about it constantly.
SFJake comes off (and has always come off) as a guy who is just desperately in need of attention.
"Oh I don't like Diablo 3! It sucks, so many things are wrong with it! I don't even like playing it! Yet I'm going to play it and just sit around and complain about it all day in hopes that people will pay attention to me."
That's not being a Blizzard 'fan boy' or overly defending the game. It's obvious that the game has some flaws and they need to be fixed. But if you don't like the game as a whole... just don't play it. There, your problem is solved.

I think I need to say at this point though... part of the fun in Diablo 2 was being overpowered. Not in a cheesy way like this, but in a fun way. I didn't dupe or hack in Diablo 2, but when I farmed up a bunch of amazing gear I liked to be able to do the last act... not easily, but easier than it was before.
I also noticed that Blizzard said they wanted to make the game harder by making the combat system more difficult... that they wanted to get rid of 'one shots' and things like that. I think a lot of frustration from players (even from me and I REALLY love Diablo 3 so far) is that the difficulty isn't coming from the monsters being smart or interesting (even though it's like that for me in NM/Hell)... it's from just getting one/two shot and regardless of how well you play, you just instantly die.
I think it's a great idea to nerf the 'you can't be touched for damaged' skills. But at the same time, does it really feel like if you farm for a few months and get great gear that it's going to make a huge difference in Inferno? Even if you have the best gear possible it feels like instead of getting one shot, you might just get destroyed in 2 to 4 hits instead... and in that case, it's still going to be next to impossible to beat the game without dying all of the time.
But I feel like they kind of lied to me about the whole "We want to design a game where the difficulty doesn't just come from being one shot, like in Diablo 2."... because it's not really like that at all. When you play Hell with mediocre gear, that's what it feels like... like if you play well, you can overcome it. But in Inferno, it just feels like regardless of what you do, you are just going to get stomped.
That might just be me though and I completely agree that the game has only been out for a small amount of time so no one is likely geared very well yet... but I'd like to believe that if I farm enough that I might be able to get through Inferno without death. Right now though, it just doesn't feel like that at all.
I personally think a good solution might be to reduce the damage that monsters do in Inferno, but increase their life... so the fights are a bit longer and require skill as opposed to the fights just being 5-10 seconds because you get smashed instantly.

I'm pretty sure that means that I am a better person than anyone who wasn't in the beta.

I don't mean to sound mean... but:
The narrator (Cain) is reading about an army of shadow and an army of light battling while they show demonic creatures crawling out of the ground and winged creatures coming from the heavens...
If people cannot figure out that angels and demons are fighting after hearing/seeing that, then they are stupid as hell.

There is no difference. That's why they just put it in the game as opposed to letting it happen outside of the game. There is no way to prevent this from happening outside of Diablo 3, so why not just put it in the game as a feature?
You can craft/forge high end items. You don't want to farm the materials? What? Do you just want them to give everyone amazing items at level 60?
The rest of your points I can understand. These two seem a little strange. I also am not really understanding your gem argument with your other point either.
You don't want power to be able to be 'bought', but then at the same time you don't want 'luck' in the game (even though that's pretty much the staple of the franchise) and you don't want people to have to build up power with items like gems.

I can't remember the interview...
But in one of the interviews, someone from Blizzard basically said that the random events in the game right now totally sucked compared to the ones you will find in the actual game when it comes out. I was super excited to hear about that. Just like everything else in the beta, it seems like those random events are just to introduce players to the concept of random events.
I thought some of them were already pretty awesome. The one you described is cool, the one where you are just walking around and all of the sudden that mist comes from the ground and a ton of zombies rise up is pretty awesome as well.
I think this is one of the coolest things added to Diablo 3. I hope they take the concept and run with it. I'd love to see random events that are super rare and have bosses/uniquely designed monsters in them. Ones that are incredibly hard, some that are made to be funny, etc.

Blizzard's games rarely dominate anyone in graphics. There games always look 'cool' and have pretty awesome looking features, but they are rarely the best game graphically when they come out. They are rarely even the best looking game in their genre.
They make games to be entertaining based off of systems and gameplay. They usually do a great job at it.
I still remember playing Diablo 2 hardcore and my friends would quit to go to some other hack n' slash game always saying "It's like Diablo 2, ONLY IT HAS BETTER GRAPHICS!". Four or five days later they would be back on Diablo 2, playing constantly and complaining about the game that they left D2 to play.
I have a feeling Diablo 3 vs. the other similar titles coming out will probably be the same. Blizzard just usually pwns that way. I guess that trend could change, but I doubt it.
